As a pretty bashful guy, getting sensitive areas treated can feel a bit awkward, but Jessica has a way of making you feel completely comfortable and at ease. Her personality and professionalism really helped me to relax, which makes a huge difference. I've had 4 treatments with her so far, and every visit feels like I'm catching up with a good friend I've known for years. She's so easy to talk to, and the conversations make the time fly by. Honestly, I almost hate to leave when the session is over--but it just gives me something to look forward to with my remaining treatments. Great service most days with some slight variation between thoroughness of the technicians. The results were nice but didn't last as long as they mentioned after the number of sessions I did. However this is still 100% worth it to have minor upkeep only after treatment. I'm impressed! Really recommend this place for cleanliness and comfort provided during treatment. Only thing is that is getting far for me but more so the packages are quite expensive since there are so few sales. I was recommended YAG. I did full legs but after 4 treatments I did not see a big reduction on my thighs. My bottom legs didn't have too much to begin with but the areas I wants to target did not have that much. So it worked there. Punctuality: they typically always run late so plan accordingly. I also recommend calling/ picking up during the day before your service to make sure the times are accurate. 2 out of 4 instances the times changed. I've toyed with the idea of laser hair removal, but it always seemed so scary to me that I wasn't sure if I'd ever actually do it. Clearstone had great reviews so I figured I'd give it a try and I found the reviews to be accurate based on my experience. I did a lot of research beforehand to make sure they had the YAG lasers which are safer/best for darker skin tones. They had a special for $99 for 3 underarm treatments, which is a good deal. Upon getting there, the first thing I noticed was how nice and clean everything looked. It gives you a spa type of feel. I never doubted that they were taking the appropriate Covid precautions. The staff was really nice and reassured me the entire time since I was nervous. I was amazed at how quick it all was! Some pain, but totally doable and done in under 5 minutes! I had my first session of laser hair removal over the weekend at Clearstone. I very much appreciated the consultation they provided that explained the process and type of machine they were going to use and what I can expect as far as results. I finally started my laser hair treatment and I'm so satisfied by the work and the costumer service of this establishment. First, I didn't feel like I was trying to be sold anything. I was shopping around with other med spas and this was the first phone consultation that was quick and straightforward. I didn't get the sales pitch, which I appreciated. On the day of my appointment I was ready to pay the full amount for the full body package but my technician advised that I get the woman's package instead bc the laser may not be as effective on my lower arms since the hair was very light. She saved me so much money! As far the the day of treatment I was very pleased. The front office staff were so nice and helpful. My appointment was at 1245 and I got in the room and started by treatment by 1! That's pretty quick in my opinion. My tech was very knowledgeable and patient with me. I felt so comfortable with her. I got a groupon deal for Clearstone Laser Hair Removal after a bunch of my girlfriends raved about how awesome laser hair removal was. And after finishing 6 sessions, I have to say, it is pretty awesome! I saw results after the first couple sessions but I have yet to say if in the long run what results there will be since I just finished. I had 6 sessions, each one about 8-10 weeks apart (I'm not sure about the exact timing). Clearstone made the process particularly easy. Every appointment has been SO fast- I'm in and out in less than 15 minutes, and if I'm the first appt of the day (10am), then it's more like 5 min! My favorite person has been Denise- she was super friendly, had really good distraction techniques during the process and would take breaks when I needed them, and was really kind and polite. It's also really easy to re-schedule and they always seem to have good time options available, even at the last minute. The office itself was always clean and there's free parking. read more

I start visiting Clearstone Laser Hair Removal & Medical Spa at the Holcombe location on February 6, 2021, and I had great experiences until last week. As I walked into the office to check-in, I was greeted by a lady at the front desk, and she asked, "How can I help you?" I provided her the reason for my visit, and she said, "Okay, someone will be right with you." Following me, another customer walked into the office, and the lady at the front desk greeted the customer with a smile and warm expression. Right after that lady, two other ladies walked into the office, and they were greeted with a smile and friendly expression. As we all sat in the waiting area, all three ladies were called to the back for their procedure, which left me perplexed. I couldn't comprehend how I was the first customer to check-in yet; I was called last. I asked the technician who called me to the back, "Why were I called last, did the other customers have appointments before me?" She replied, "No all of your appointments were at the same time." After we exchange dialogue, I assumed I was serviced last, and assigned to an inexperienced laser technician because I am African American. Before the procedure the laser technician asked me several questions regarding the specific areas of my past laser treatments, which was fine. But, what alerted me was when she shocked me at the top of my lip with the laser instrument. My chin was being treated not my lip. Next, she grabbed a dry razor, and without explaining what was happening next, she started shaving a few hairs from my chin. I must say that I am flabbergasted and disappointed that I experienced poor customer service. I pray that no one encounters this unethical and uncomfortable situation. It's time for another update! I am still a loyal Clearstone customer years later. I am coming in every 6 months now to get everything retouched. I am so unbelievably happy with the results and service from the technicians at Clearstone! Keep in mind laser will not permanently remove all hairs forever and some regular maintenance will be needed. However, even the hair that does grow back is so much softer than prior to laser. Back in August, I went to Clearstone Spa for my laser hair removal appointment. The technician didn't finish my treatment on time and told me to come back on a different day. I came back a few days later and as she began treating my arm, I told her that the pain from the laser was worse than what I'd ever experienced before. After she finished, my arms were extremely red and swollen, more than they had ever been after any of my previous treatments. She didn't apply any type of cream to soothe my skin after she was done. During the next couple of days, I developed blisters on my arm, which can be seen on the picture I attached to this review. I realized that those were burn marks and that she had burned my skin. I contacted the owner, Robert, letting him know what happened to me and asked if I would be receiving some type of reimbursement. He told me to come by the office and that he "may or may not" refund me. I continued asking for a clear "yes or no" answer because I didn't want to waste my time going to the office if I wasn't going to be receiving my refund. Robert started arguing with me on the phone. I told him that his technician left me looking like a burn victim and that it was only fair that they give me a refund. He became irate and told me that I was not a victim and that this was my choice. That's not true. I paid to have a procedure done that would remove the hair from my body; I did NOT choose to get my skin burned. He only said that to avoid taking responsibility for what happened to me. He never apologized or expressed any sympathy for what his technician did to me. For the rest of the phone call there was a lot of pointless arguing. Some time after that phone call, he called me again and told me that he would give me a refund. When I walked into his office, he told me that I first had to sign some document before I could get my money back. I saw that this document was a Settlement Agreement, which stated that, by signing it, I would be "releasing and forever discharging Clearstone from all past, present, or future claims, demands, obligations, actions, causes of action, rights, damages, costs...." There was also a provision in the document which said that I would be prohibited from making any negative comments (in written form or orally) of Clearstone and its staff. Basically, he was trying to pay me for my silence. I thought it was all very shady and manipulative. He lured me in with the promise of a refund but he was really just trying to cover his tracks and protect himself from a lawsuit. He probably thought he was being so clever. I can picture him patting himself on the back and feeling so proud of himself for thinking of that idea. When I told him I felt uncomfortable, he said, "this is what you wanted." No, that was not what I wanted. I did not want to sign a Settlement Agreement in exchange for a sum of money. What I wanted was a simple refund after they had just BURNED my skin. I think that's a pretty reasonable request after somebody literally burns the skin on your arm. He was using manipulative language to try to make me think that he was complying with my requests when that's not what he was doing at all. I felt so uncomfortable that I declined to sign the document and told him to just keep my money. After more back-and-forth, he agreed to give me the check without signing the document. What was most important to me was making the marks on my arm disappear, so I continued communicating with Robert in the hope that he would solve the problem that his technician had caused me. During this time, I was very careful not to expose my arm to the sun to prevent any further damage to my skin. Once the scabs fell off, I asked him what I should do because now I had uneven white spots on my skin. He told me that I could safely expose my arm to the sun now and that the white spots would gradually turn the same shade as the rest of my skin. He was wrong. Once I stopped covering my arms from the sun, I developed hyperpigmentation, a condition which turned the spots on my arm into a dark brown color. After this happened, I once again asked him what to do. He gave me a topical cream which he claimed would help me get rid of those dark marks. I used the cream but my skin never improved. It was all just another lie. He did not know what he was talking about. I really wish I would've gone to see a dermatologist after they burned my skin. Learn from my mistake: if a laser center burns your skin, don't go back to them hoping they'll fix the issue that they caused themselves! They'll probably create more problems which will prolong the healing process, as it did for me. read more

I purchased the fourth of July deal for Clearstone and it came with 2 sessions each of the Brazilian and underarms. Since I already had 6 sessions of laser on the Brazilian at another location, I thought this would be a good start to see how many I actually needed. I went to the Medical Center location and the staff was nice - they took their time to explain the procedure to you and what you should expect, even though I told them this wasn't my first rodeo. The appointment/procedure time took longer than the other place I went to and I just felt like they were more thorough - which means it hurt a bit more but nothing unbearable if they stop and give you a slight break. They also have a cooling system to try to make this as comfortable, as possible. The facility is decent, there is separate patient/doctor parking spots outside - so beware! I didn't see the sign and the parking attendant, in his van, had to tell me to move. Whoops. Very easily missed. I've only been to my first appointment so I'll update once my sessions are up on results. They recommend 10 weeks in between appointments here - longer than the other place I went to that recommended 6. They said I should push it out more if there isn't any hair growth by 10 weeks so that the hairs could cycle and we can get the best results. Good info to have! I had two friends who came to Clearstone and had amazing results - I came with their recommendations so fingers crossed its better than the last place! read more

I am a TOTAL FAN of Alma at Clearstone! I had some dark sun spots on my face from years and years of sun exposure. I went in 2017 and again today for two different sets of sunspots. I got a spot treatment photofacial and wow! It made a HUGE difference in my skin. 10-20 minutes, in and out and and I was done. I only got individual spots on my face treated as I do not want to lose my freckles and Alma was fantastic to work with. She cleanses your face, discusses which dark marks you want treated (if you don't want a full face done) and then uses the photofacial laser on those spots. After the very quick treatment, she puts on moisturizer and sunscreen and discusses care of your treated skin. The dark spots get very dark and eventually the skin sloughs off in 3-5 days. Then the skin is pink and sensitive for a bit. It heals and wow, it's like the sunspots were never there! Today for spot treatments it was $39. I have recommended Alma at Clearstone to SO MANY people. She is amazing. I love the results, her attention to detail, bedside manner, and promptness! I never have to wait past by appointment time. I've never used any of the other services here, but the photofacial is totally awesome and effective! read more

Other laser hair shops that I have been to, prior to Clearstone, that also offered Groupon specials, did not do a good job and were painful! Clearstone is the only place that I have been to that uses the cold air technology alongside the laser, which helps to reduce the pain significantly. It acts as a numbing agent for each laser strike. In addition to laser, they also offer IPL, microdermabrasion, dark spot removal, tattoo removal, etc. And once you become a "regular", they treat you with additional bonus offers every July and December for super specials on more laser hair removal. Additionally, if you refer a friend, you also get additional bonuses, such as free microdermabrasion. She rushed my treatment as her phone kept going off with messages- she answered most with no explanation (I don't need one but I have kids and if it was emergency, I would apologize to customer and explain it's my kids. All of us would understand) I wish they would change this small but crucial aspect since results are good. You probably can't tell but I come from a long line of hairy relatives. I've been shaving my legs since elementary school and waxing my face since middle school. Waxing is painful and shaving gets the job done for 48 hours at best. And threading? Whoever in the H-E double hockey sticks came up with that sick idea should be tarred and feathered. I've been coming here for almost two years and I couldn't be happier with the results. I especially have a bit of a mustache and goatee and thanks to the wonderful staff, I now how neither. I have dark skin with dark hair which makes me a good candidate. But my skin is prone to scarring, so I was reluctant to start with my face. I started off with my underarms and loved the results. So I moved onto my face. Keep in mind that laser is not permanent. You will have to maintain 10 to 12 week visits. But for me, this is much more convenient than weekly, sticky, painful wax jobs. I'll be honest, it does sting a bit but I much prefer the laser to waxing and threading. I tried my nether regions recently but it felt like my crotch was burning. Unfortunately, No options to have ZERO star. Have been using their services since 2016-2017 till my last full leg laser hair removal on 10/26/2022 with Kristyn Korsah. When I realized that burns/hypopigmentation are not going away, I called/emailed with my kind complaint to the owner Robert E. Logue, provided him and his house doctor Share with dermatologist paperwork and asked for my issue to be resolved . Waiting on proper agenda and treatment since beginning of February 2023. They never seen me in person afterwards to determine the issue and proper treatment, only calls and emails. Meanwhile, all my holidays, birthday and work events had a high stress level and 0 confidence , with no problem what to wear, my wardrobe was the same-something that could 100% cover my leopard printed legs no matter of the weather and temperature. My vacation a few weeks ago went wrong as well, please see my pictures starting 10/2022-4/2023. It's 4/13 and no follow ups, emails, calls, treatment plan etc from Clearstone since February. If you love yourself and do not want to be treated like I had been, please avoid this company there are so many other laser companies in Houston that really care and have an amazing customer service even after you had a procedure and paid. Unprofessional system! Came here to get a treatment done, called the office scheduled my appointment, took time off of work drove all the way to the center and then had to sit in the waiting area for a little bit. Upon them calling my name to the desk and walking me back into the room they THEN decided to proceed to tell me that they could not perform my treatment because of the timing from when my last one was done??? Biggest question is why would they waste my time over the phone, wait for me drive up to the clinic and then explain they could not do what I was asking for them to do at that time?? Robert needs to get this staff together and brainstorm on how not to waste guest time. Very upsetting that they even thought they could "sell" me on another service other than what I was asking for. This place is appalling! My husband booked an appointment for me on a weekend and when we showed up they didn't have us in the system! We had to re-do the appointment and wait another month before I could be seen. My next visit (when the front desk actually scheduled it) went well. A tale of redemption... About a month before my wedding I decided to go get a facial. Met with one of the staff and we decided that a micro peel was the way to go. She explained that it wasn't the same as a chemical peel but more like an intensive facial and microdermabrasion. We did that, my skin looked great, no problem. Second time, different clinician, same result. Third time, different clinician the week of my wedding..... OH SHYT! My skin started peeling. I called and spoke to Sarika and told her what happened. She told me to come in ASAP and she would fix my problem and give me stuff to take home. IT WORKED! She said that the last tech used stronger products on my face, though they keep notes in your file. Sarika saved my wedding pictures! They didn't comp me financially, BUT they fixed the problem. Customer service is in short supply these days and I appreciate that Sarika was so professional and helpful. I still recommend them, just make sure you stick to the same clinician and don't do ANYTHING to your face the week of your wedding. read more

I ended up getting laser hair removal today at 11:15am and was out of the door in 15 minutes. I had my face, upper lip, neck, and chest done for the $99 special. (I'll do my armpits later, but my face is the big issue) I didn't have a Groupon, so I paid out of pocket with MY money. I LOOOOVE how they are not snooty and forceful. Despite laser hair removal being not-so-cheap, they don't make you feel broke and try to force you to buy more sessions. As someone who is TERRIFIED of needles, my stomach was in KNOTS and my lil musty armpits were sweating for dear life while I was in the waiting room. There I lay on the chair with musty sweaty armpits and my hairy chest and Barry White beard exposed, but Taylor NEVER made me feel uncomfortable. The laser hair removal did hurt a little, but TAYLOR was so kind and funny, that I laughed the entire time. Next thing I know, she is done and I'm scheduling my next appointment.
