Ah, Suzie's. I wasn't much of a diner girl but had no choice otherwise when I started dating the boyfriend. Now he sees no issue with IHOP so I didn't trust his judgement with other places either. But man was I wrong about Suzie's! Amazing food - get the omelettes and waffles no matter the time of day - the warm service here pairs well with a perpetually hot mug of coffee in your paws. I'm always very generous with my stars, but if I'm being honest this didn't live up to the Yelp rating. Having said that, it could just be me not eating meat and therefore being extorted in what I could have. The food was a 2, but the service from Jennifer was a 5. She was so nice, but it didn't make up for a very limp and old salad. The corn chowder was pretty good, but really I should have just tried harder to find something different or stayed at the Panera I had been working at over the late morning hours. First time at this diner and it was amazing! It was delicious! We both order the Benedict and side of onion rings with toast. I order the bacon Benedict while my bf order the Virginia Benedict. I never order out/have breakfast delivered but one of my housemates does and always asks if I want something. This time, I got a sausage, egg n cheese on a grilled English - dang good, great balance of each fresh ingredient. Other items ordered by the crew: The sausage links are different than most, plump, juicy, and full of flavor. Chocolate chip pancakes were a big hit, as was the cinnamon bun French toast ! Suzie's Diner is the greatest townie breakfast around! The line to get in is quite frequently out the door waiting for a table, or even a spot at the bar! The waitstaff here have been here since I was a kid. They know the regulars quite well and are so friendly. The food is great diner food! Today I got one of the specials- pumpkin French toast. It was delicious! They are open for dinner two or three nights a week with specials like fried clams and prime rib. Gone are the days you go into a restaurant and can relax and get good service. I loved Susie's but our waitress rushed us the entire time and gave me dirty looks because we took longer than she wanted. She actually had the nerve to stare us down with a dirty look until we left. My partner and I walked in around 5 am after miscalculating the start time of the flea markets down here. I was so confused because it was..full. At 5 am. Our server was Jen. I don't know who Suzie is but she deserves a f*cking trophy for the blessing in this world that is the breakfast she gives. Every time I have eaten breakfast here, the food was served in less than 7 minutes. The waitresses offer you coffee as soon as your butt touches the seat. And, there are delicious onions sautéed over the home fries. (What more could you ask for?) My boyfriend got the special today (Cinnamon Bun French Toast) and his jaw dropped when he received his food. He said it tasted as good as it looked. Sorry I have to put 3 stars. The last 2 times we have gone the food is not that great, enough so that my kids 8 and 10 asked not to go back and pick another place. Sausage links are so commercial and more fat that meat. Coffee has a bitterness after drinking it. Very little options for people with allergies or sensitivity. Also, the fact that it is first come, first serve and there is no take a name when there is a big line, it causes confusion and people in line become defensive and snippy. read more

Extremely below average diner. The hungry man's breakfast was disappointing. It looks like there was only 1 cooked scrambled egg when there was supposed to be 3. The cheese on it seemed like it had been left out and unsealed which causes the cheese to be hard and not melt on food. My home fries were disappointing as well, pretty much raw, and the only "cooked" ones tasted like dirt/ old homefries mixed with the raw barely cooked ones. Definitely won't be going back to this diner. Cant even imagine how that kitchen stores its food. read more

Dined on a Friday afternoon around 2:30 pm. Yelp reviews led us here and my friend found a Groupon ...bonus! There were ample available booths and tables when we arrived and we were directed to seat ourselves. Menus are available at the tables and our waiter didn't come over right away (more than 5 but less than 10 minutes) to greet us. She took our drink orders, coffee and hot tea, as we continued to look over the menu. My friend settled quickly on a stir fry and I, on the hungry man with a side of hash browns but much to my disappointment, breakfast isn't served after 2 pm. :-( Not sure where that's posted but we missed it. Back to the drawing board. We decided to split a large garden salad with balsamic dressing on the side, a grilled shrimp teriyaki stir fry and the bison burger which was posted on the "specials" board with a side of sweet potato fries (for an up charge). The garden salad was fresh and included red onions, cucumbers, tomatoes, mixed greens and green peppers. Tomatoes were included in the salad but our waiter also brought a small dish of tomato wedges over and said something but we couldn't make out what she said??? A bottle of Ken's balsamic was placed on the table. It would have been more impressive if it had been poured into a serving container ...then we wouldn't have known it was from a bottle. The large was definitely a nice size to share. Our lunches arrived just as we had finished our salad. The bison burger was a bit disappointing. I was expecting a handmade patty, instead, it appeared to possibly be a frozen patty, served with lettuce a slice of tomato, a pickle slice and mayo on the side. The sweet potato fries; however, were very good, crispy, thick and hot! My friend's stir fry contained summer squash slices, peppers, onions, 5 fairly large grilled shrimp over rice pilaf with a heavy teriyaki drizzle. The shrimp and veggies were cooked perfectly, the rice (per my friend) was a little mushy but that's how I prefer rice but the teriyaki was very salty and a little too much. Would ask for it on the side if we had this again. Unlimited refills on coffee and tea. We asked about dessert: tapioca or chocolate pudding, strawberry shortcake, banana cream pie, apple crisp, lemon meringue pie and pumpkin pie ...all tempting and very reasonably priced from $1.50 to about $4; however, they are not homemade. Instead, purchased from a restaurant supply. So, we decided to skip dessert. Total tab not including tip and groupon $28. Glad we tried it but would probably not go out of our way to return. Went for breakfast for the first time yesterday. It's awesome! There's ample parking in the back. It does get busy, and there's not much room to wait, but they get tables turned over very quick. I don't know of any breakfast place with prices this good. Check out my pictures of the menu to see what I mean. They also have great specials, and they serve alcohol. My husband and I have been going to Suzie's Diner since we moved to Hudson, NH. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone! The wait staff is absolutely AMAZING. They know all of their patrons and remember pretty much what everyone wants for breakfast or lunch. They do dinner a few nights a week as well. The food is terrific. We never have an issue with our order. They are flexible with what you want and always find ways to get you your order the best way possible. First come first serve, and the lines are always out the door on the weekends, HOWEVER the line moves so fast you probably do not wait more than 15 min or so for a table. I can't recommend this place enough. If you love cozy, little places to go to eat, Suzie's is the place for you. Try it you will love it! read more

Ordered a bunch of breakfast items off the menu to give them all a try. We probably could have fed 3 people with the amount of food we bought (although we did manage to finish it all ourselves). Best part was the price: $20 including tip for a meal for 3. Here it is: - House Special Breakfast (2 eggs, sausage, toast, and home fries): typical breakfast fare. The sausage was good and the eggs cooked just like I like them (over-easy). The toast was nothing special, and I hated the home fries. I don't generally like home fries though (I prefer hash browns), but I have had some decent home fries in the past (Miracle of Science, yum). These were not it. - French Toast (with sausage): nothing exciting, pretty standard but still tasty. - Corned Beef Hash (side): I'm just going to write what my girlfriend said about this because I hate corned beef. She says, "it tasted how I expected corned beef hash to taste." There you have it. - Biscuits and Gravy: above average. I was pleasantly surprised how yummy I thought these were given the price. This could be a fun dish to share with a group for breakfast. Staff was nice and the food comes out real quick, though I would have preferred a refill on my water a little sooner. I'm honestly split between 3 & 4 stars here. I'm basically a fan, but it's not really anything super special here. So far I've only ever had the breakfast menu. The eggs have been ok, but not great. The bacon is variable between crispy, and limp. The potatoes are a disappointment. The flavor is just slightly off and way too starchy. I think the best example of "close but not close enough" was today's breakfast order. I had asked for scrambled eggs with a little cheese & tomato mixed in. When you first walk in, it's a small area with a bar in the middle. You can seat yourself anywhere you like. I have been here for breakfast and lunch. Both times were pretty good. We gave Susie's Diner a try the other night. The kids wanted the full Diner experience, so we sat at the counter stools instead of taking a booth. Susie's was fairly busy, considering it was 5pm on a Thursday. The waitresses seemed to know most of the customers by name, which in my mind, was a sign that Susie's was good enough to keep the customer's coming back. The prices were very reasonable. The daily specials were listed on a white board. Thursday night was Al's meatloaf for $6.99 or a ham dinner for $7.99. The waitress was excellent. Being new to the place, she gave us suggestions based on what is more kid appropriate from the menu choices our kids were looking at. My youngest settled on the chicken stir fry over rice pilaf. My other boy couldn't decide between the steak tips and the sirloin. The waitress recommended the tips, confiding that they came from the local butcher. That's what he got, and he cleaned the plate, so I think it was the right choice. My wife got the same thing - I'll add a picture. It's hard to go wrong for $8.99, and it comes with 2 sides. I tried the Al meatloaf special. The meatloaf was slightly sweat, delicious. Thumbs up to Al! It came with three large slices of meatloaf and two sides. I would order it again without hesitation. The fries were crispy and hand cut. There was a pretty good selection on the dessert menu. We tried the apple pie a la mode, the strawberry short cake, and the bread pudding. All were freshly made.
