Lunch Menu
Travis C.

Came here on a Saturday morning and of course there was a line but the wait wasn't that bad. We waiting for about 15 min then we were promptly seated with menu's and an order of drinks. This is my 2nd time coming here and I'm glad I gave this restaurant another chance because they've been open a bit longer and the service and food has improved greatly. I ordered the steak and cheese Benny and boy was it good. I got a side of tots since that's my fav but they have other sides to pick from. The shaved meat was really good and instead of an English muffin I asked for a biscuit because I'm not a fan of the muffin lol. The meal was a huge portion and had to bring half of it home but this wasn't the highlight. I also ordered a strawberry white chocolate chip muffin that was grilled and me and my daughter really enjoyed it! The inside was moist and the outside and nice grill marks which really brought out the flavor of the muffin. We will definitely be back to try another flavor since they change it up weekly. Yes, this place does get packed and yes it gets kinda loud but that shouldn't hinder the fact that the food is awesome. Give them a try if you're in Hudson NH.

House salad with homemade smoked pork!

The Good Place is a really good place. The smoked pork is excellent, and believe it or not, root beer BBQ sauce is great - if not a little addictive! Their normal house BBQ sauce is excellent, as is their fruity/spicy tropical sauce. They have their own house-made dill pickles as well, and they're very very good. These are good hardworking people turning out an excellent product, and it was quick and reasonably priced. This will be my go-to place for lunch when I'm in Hudson.

Ham n' Eggs

My first time for breakfast. It's got fantastic breakfast . I got ham n' eggs and the ham was thick, easy to cut and very tasty. Home fries were golden brown and my over easy eggs were easily over. Service was pleasant and the ambiance was so Americana...small, cozy and very clean.

3 egg whites, sausage patty, sourdough toast, fries all charged as sides for $17

Bill Cahill's Super Subs - My chicken salad sub was jam packed. So delicious made with all white chicken meat. Scrumptious:)

Italian sub was mostly vegetables. Steak and cheese was good…read morebut I did not like the spices they sprinkled on, had a garlic taste. Prices were sky high. UPDATE: I tried the Steak and cheese again. Firstly, I called in my order and the girl that answered the phone was distracted and laughing- couldn't get my name right. I almost felt like she was doing it on purpose. She kept calling me jack and my name sounds nothing like that. She kept giggling. The sub was expensive, top dollar for a sub, even compared to downtown Boston. I opened up the sub and to my surprise- it wasn't cut in half and I was on the road with no knife. Imagine eating a large sub in it's entirety instead of a manageable half. Now imagine a complete large sub that's bending while you hold it and as you are trying to bite it cleanly the steak has not been completely chopped up and it's got chewy gristle pieces that pull more steak out of the sub as you are eating it. The steak was low quality with gristly strings that chewed like bubblegum. I asked for extra cheese- totally dry on the top with some cheese on the bun side. The key to a perfect steak and cheese is the cheese distribution and tender steak without any gristly bits. This $18+ sub was a complete failure. Overall, I will not be visiting again. This place has low standards for their food and their employees but they charge top dollar. Poor leadership really shines through here. You can let a bunch of kids horse around in your sub shop but sooner or later it will cost the owners their business. They got to have fun and laugh but in the end the owners will cry. I really wanted to like this place, it reminded me of the good days when food was delicious and real but alas, the good old days are gone and they are never coming back. Everything has been cheapened to the max and profits are maximized.

Had a steak bomb here as everyone recommended going here for a sub. It was worth the hype. The shaved steak was exactly the quality of a steak bomb I strive for. Service was good, and they were pretty quick considering they are so busy for a small place. I'll be back there for sure!

Bill Cahill's Super Subs - No lettuce pickle tomato. Just raw peppers and onions that weren't ordered. And a very dry crumbly wrap. Supposed to be Italian.

What can I say about this place that I haven't said already? It's my spot for breakfast when I'm in…read moreHudson, NH. The service is always amazing and the food is always on point and it never disappoints. The ambiance is like a typical diner with booths, no loud music so you can talk to your party. Let's get down to the food. Cinnamon Bun Pancakes- this is my go to because I love it! It's not overly sweet which I love and it reminds me on a cinnamon bun. I always get one lol Country Benedict- this is what I order every time I come here as my main dish. You get buttermilk biscuits instead of English muffins with sausage patties on top and the lovely gravy. The gravy is soo good. CHOCOLATECHIP pancakes- my daughter go to since she loves chocolate lol. Which 5 year old doesn't right? She always gets this and it's really good. So if you're in Hudson be sure to come here, you won't be disappointed.

** Patty Melt review **…read more Roadside eatery in a tiny strip plaza. Outside, it looks nothing like the classic New England train car style or New Jersey stainless steel style diners, but inside are countertop with stools, booths around the outskirts, and the hustle and bustle giving it a strong diner vibe. Like my visits to many diners, I was here on my patty melt quest. -- Patty Melt: First, the composition is faithful to the prototype, with a quarter pound patty (no smashburger nonsense), rye bread (no sourdough decoy), buttered (not merely toasted), and with the classic Swiss cheese, sautéed onions and thousand Island dressing. No fusion, no reinvention, no omissions, no hipster jive. Good crispness and butteriness on the bread, great melt on the cheese, and noticeable softness to the onions. Most importantly, the beef could be ordered medium rare, and they executed. More softness, with gushing juices and a really pleasing bite. I suspect nothing special to start with, but they cooked it to near perfection. Only quibble would be not much crust to the patty, but not as critical on a patty melt. -- Fries: I could have had tots or a few other options, but fries were fine. Almost certainly frozen, but the skin-on variety and not the dreaded coated kind. Nothing special, but good enough. Service was adequate. It seemed like everyone was prepping to get everything gathered and cleaned for closing about 90 minutes earlier than necessary, but that didn't detract. If anything, it shows initiative and hustle. Not much data to go on, but an easy 4 for me.
