I started coming to the salon recently the past few months as I had seen someone post online about it. I normally get a blowout with one of Suzi's assistant. The blowout is OK, but the hair can for a bit flat if you get someone that is in a senior stylist. Yesterday I attended my blowout appointment, and paid once the service had been completed. When I went to leave, I headed to their restroom. I've used their facilities many times, and they actually have two restrooms in the salon. As I entered the first restroom, Suzi, the owner followed up by me and said the bathroom was out of order. There's nothing to display that it was out of order, or no sign had been put up or any of the other customers being informed of this. I then asked her, if I could use the other bathroom, and she said something was wrong with that one also, which I know wasn't true as I had been in there earlier that day. It made me feel extremely uncomfortable, and I felt like I was being specifically targeted for some unknown reason which didn't really make sense to me. I then went to leave going out the back entrance, and I could hear her following up behind me and she was saying, "are you leaving now?" and I heard the back door lock behind me which is always left unlocked, obviously to prevent me from coming back in. She was preventing me from using the second bathroom, which was in the rear of the building. I left feeling really confused about the whole experience. I woke up this morning to find that my upcoming appointment for next Friday had just been canceled by her. This has confirmed my suspicion, that I was being discriminated against for some unknown reason. I had paid for the service, but yet she was not letting me use the facilities. I thought it was important to mention this. On another note, it is practically impossible to be able to reach her to make an appointment in general, and you have to constantly message her. She sometimes won't answer your questions, and if you ask a question, that is a logical one., she can get a bit angry with you. I would recommend thinking twice about coming here just to get an affordable blowout. In my opinion, it's not worth it. *In response to her comment to my same review about staying for two hours. I was staying inside until having to uber to an event to avoid standing outside too early in the extreme heat yesterday. I have never been kicked out of an appointment even when it was completed. No other place has made me feel unwelcome like this salon. I do not have my own vehicle. Plenty of clients sit and wait. I was not some transit person off of the street. I was a paying customer who they knew. For Suzi to say it was for the safety of the clients, is absolutely ridiculous. I was no threat. I am a young, petite girl. I was just sitting there, looking at my phone. Suzi does not know what else to say as she knows this looks bad for her. This is also very interesting as about two week ago I had an appointment at 11am, and was made to wait over 35 minutes to be seen. They were not even considerate enough to notify me of this. This is not the first time she has been rude to me. When I managed to reach her one time to ask a question about an upcoming appointment with a different stylist than who I usually had as mine was unavailable on the day I needed to come in, she snapped at me on the phone and threatened to cancel the appointment. For context, I had selected an appointment for a day that the usual girl I go to was not there, and she had DM'd me that each of her girls had different talents. I took this to mean that every stylist had their own hairstyling technique. I wrote back saying that was okay and asked her to clarify a bit further. But received no response to my DM. So, I called her and she gaslit me by saying that I was causing your problems with the appointment. I politely told her that I think she misunderstanding why I was calling, and wanted to ask if this other stylist would be able to attach my clip-in extensions and style. Her response was, "she'll do her best". This left me feeling not very confident and I was not going to pay for a service and get a result I would be dissatisfied with. I eventually canceled two days later after getting a bad feeling. On a side note, the salon is understaffed. Suzi is the senior stylist, then she has one other girl, maybe another one, which I've only seen once) working there. They seem to be "assistants" so results may vary. Suzi's treatment of me is discrimination. I have always tried to be friendly and polite to her, even though I have felt unwelcome and a bit uncomfortable. I left feeling upset and even embarrassed as there was other clients there that would have seen and heard what was going on. I can only imagine what was said behind my back to her other clients when I left. read more

I've been coming to Suzi for about 4 years I asked her for face framing layers and a butterfly cut. When it was styled in her Studio, it gave the appearance of just that when I went home washed and blow dried my hair. This is what I discovered. I simply asked her for a refund, and I said, I would no longer book with her, and she refused, because she said it was against policy. Ironic and given the fact that she's an independent contractor who creates her own policy. She suggested I come in so she could fix my hair. I told her that I do not trust her any longer, given the fact that I have 8 inches of my hair at one layer! and despite her policy given the state of my hair, she should just do the right thing and refund me the $300. I had to reschedule Tuesday bc I hurt my back and she was so understanding and even referred me to a chiropractor! I got there and as I sat down the girls brought me a latte and chocolate. I got charged $250 for an "extended length" hair cut when my hair is not an extended length. Pulled forward my hair does not even go past my bust, she cut about an inch. I got no color just a cut. I did not get undivided attention as she was double booked nor did I get an hour of her time like it states online when booking the appointment. The salon was clean and they did offer espresso/latte. The layers in my cut were not blended well, definitely not a precision cut which is what I would expect for the prices charged at this salon. I did get a second opinion as well. Overall I felt taken advantage of by the dishonest up-charge and my experience was not that of the social media influencers on her instagram. She was pleasant but my experience and cut was not worth the cost. I was terribly disappointed as I could not get my layers to style right and I had to have them fixed. I should have read the yelp reviews before I made my decision. I do regret coming here, I learned my $290 lesson. read more

Most unprofessional hair stylist I've ever met. Horrible experience and the worst salon I've even been to. Suzi was 25 min late to the appointment, her assistant was on the phone the entire time while washing my hair. Suzi showed up half hour late to the appointment, said she was there the entire time, even though her assistant confirmed several times that she wasn't there and I saw her walk in late. She later admitted to being late after she deliberately had just lied to my face 5 minutes before that saying she was there the entire time. She was extremely rude and completely inconsiderate of her customers time. No respect whatsoever. Huge waste of my time. Dirty bathroom and not a salon nice enough to charge the ridiculous prices she's charging. Some hair stylists are worth the higher price, this one definitely is not. This comment I had left on Instagram which she deleted by her without addressing. I made an appointment with her since I wanted/ needed a change I was 2 months postpartum. I left my newborn excited for this haircut. I drove almost 2 hours and paid a hefty price just so she can cut my hair then hand me over to her assistant who did a terrible job with the blow out. The assistant didn't cut my her so I'm sure that's why she couldn't enhance the layers suzi had given me. Not only was the style nothing like the ones on IG or similar to the style I wanted the blow out fell out right when I got to my car it's like I never got the hair cut. What a terrible experience I had. I had scheduled an appointment with her and I guess she wanted to move up my appointment for no reason to the day before by force. And was very weird and forceful about it so I rescheduled for a week later. I showed up on time and she made me sit there and wait 45 minutes while she did someone else's hair. Which I can understand being 10 or 15 minutes late, but the person's hair was barely even started when I arrived for my appointment. And she didn't even feel the need to tell me that she was running late. It was not a good haircut at all. I am so disappointed and it was such a waste of $200. And she kept hitting my breast area with her hand, which was making me very uncomfortable. She looks nothing like the photo that she puts on her page. I was shocked to arrive there and find a completely different looking person who was disheveled and physically unappealing. Don't be fooled by the photos that she posts it's only because her and her nice assistant do a good job giving blowouts. I washed my hair for the appointment and she still demanded a tip, even though the haircut was not worth $200. She didn't spend much time cutting my hair and it was not good and will need another haircut to fix her job. The left side was about half an inch longer than the right. And the bangs just would not sit correctly. She also started trauma dumping all of her issues while I was standing there with a credit card ready to pay to leave. All the other complaints about her are true. The job that she does is only worth about $125 with the blow dry. It was weird not having toilet seat covers, and her location wasn't that nice to be charging that much. It's honestly cheaper to just get a haircut in Beverly Hills. Finally this business has a yelp to leave a review on! Stay away! The first time I made an appointment I booked online. After my appointment she changed up the price on me and charged me double.. I let it slide whatever. Second time I message her ahead of time on Instagram so I'm not caught off guard. She quotes me at $150 ... okay great... I show up for my appointment... she shows up late.. she comes to my chair asks me what I want...then leaves to take a bunch of personal calls... finally cuts my hair ...her assistant blow dries my hair (should've given all my money to the assistant she was more present then suzi)... caters to two other customers who've been waiting and clearly irritated as well... so now I'm all done and ready to go after 2 hours for a cut and blowdry... and I give her my card and she goes it's going to be $250.. this time I've had it ...I'm like I messaged you and you said it's $150.. she goes well if you want me to cut your hair on my tippy toes that's how much it's going to be. I lost it at that point and she knew I was about to make a scene so first she charges me $250 and then I stood there until she reimbursed me for the difference. read more

Today I went in for a chocolate caramel highlight, I even presented a picture of the hair style, I was reassured that I would be receiving the exact style I requested. After 5 hours my hair was finally done, and after it was cleaned off, I noticed it was in an orange carrot like highelight. I asked Suzi why the highlight was different from what I requested. Suzi rudely told me to be quiet and that she's still not done applying toner. I then asked If the toner would come off after a handful of showers and in this current orange color, to which she confirmed that would be the case. I told her I don't want this to be the final highlight, it's not what I requested, she then accused me of not wanting to pay the cost of the highlight, accused me of frauding her, and made a deluded of me frauding others as well. She continued to yell at me in front of the other patrons, I was so upset that I began to cry, I even considered calling 911 because of how aggressive she was being towards me. None of the other staff intervened, and I was there for a total of 30 minutes being berated off of a single request until my son came to assist me in this traumatic moment. Suzi then began telling my son that she will fix my hair with toner, and that I will have to pay the $505 fee of the service, even though she told me the toner will easily get washed off after a couple showers, and my hair would be back to orange. I still had to pay the $505 fine for this poor service, while being rediculed, and being reduced to tears. This establishment is bafillingly terrible, again none of the staff even attempted to comfort me or stop Suzi. This was my first and last visit, and I strongly urge everyone else to stay away! If there was a zero stars option I would have chosen that instead! read more

Suzi is very rude and unprofessional! Doesn't communicate, our very first conversation she asked me to send photos and she'll quote me and I don't hear from her. I call her again book the appointment, she says that her salon is relocated due to remodeling and she'd text me the address and she never does. I receive an address (by the automated text messaging service) thinking that's the address and get there the next morning, to find out it's not the correct address. I call her and she says she'll text the address. She again forgets. I call her again after 15 minutes, not only she doesn't apologize, she gets upset with me and tells me why don't we reschedule? I tell her I'm already here, and she responds in an annoyed, frustrated way, "FINE". Like I'm supposed to magically know where her new salon is at. Finally I get there and she gives me a weird look with her coworkers, like I get the vibe that she's been talking shit about me the whole time I've been trying to find the salon. Then she starts talking to me in a loud, rude way. She tries to explain the process totally different than what we had talked about over the phone. I ask her about what color I should be expecting (like roughly) she gets upset with me and she tells me "you know what? I can't work on your hair? We should have a connection to work with each other and I can't work with you". At this point I get very uncomfortable, confused, embarrassed around everyone else in the salon and I have no choice but leave. She wasted my whole day off and my time driving up to her salon. Worst experience I've ever had in my entire life. Very rude and disrespectful. Ladies please take your business elsewhere. read more

Dirty salon. Found Suzistylz on instagram and scheduled a appt with her on the hour. Beyond strange vibe when I walked in with all stylists staring at me as if I was some alien from outer space. The assistant took me to wash hair and basically 35 minutes later at the sink, I was still being "washed" with conditioner in my hair, as I see Suzi now taking a 2nd client ahead of me. She was blow drying someone when I walked in. No apology for "running behind". Just beyond rude and such a strange experience. Then I see her taking the client to the brick wall to take instagram pictures. She acts like she's so busy but it's easy to get an appointment with her within a few days. Honestly felt like a whole scam. The salon vibe was very unprofessional and unskilled. Also, no parking and the bathroom was out of toilet paper, seat covers, and the paper towels were dirty. When I looked at her instagram after, I realized she has a ton of followers but not more than 30 likes per photograph, i.e. no engagement. Her followers were bought. read more
