Johnny has fixed my car 3 times, drivers' door got gashed, my gas pump flap wouldn't close and when a piece of trim got ripped off. Each time the repair made the car "as good as new" and done unbelievably quickly and Johnny is super friendly and helpful. Johnny's prices were really reasonable. When I picked up the car there was a big scrape that he did not paint. I ask why and he said... "I gave you a low bid, what do you want"? and then he copped a street attitude. I had run over a huge pice of tire on the freeway that pulled a piece of my car from the bottom. It was dragging badly. Johnny the owner of the shop was outstanding for so many ways and went above and beyond the given service. First he couldn't get me in for a couple days, but he said he would jerry rig they piece so that I could drive it in the meantime. What also was amazing was that he personally came to pick me up after the work was done which was sooner that expected. The best part? Someone left me a "bumper kiss" and didn't leave a note. There was no dent, but the scratches were really noticeable. (see before and after pics). I called Svensson's Auto Body because they have done work for me on other cars. When I spoke with Johnny, he told me if I preferred he would give me an estimate based on a picture or two and the vin#. Way less hassle for me and he surprised me how quickly he turned around an estimate. He also told me if I could live with less than perfect, he'd try buffing it out for free. I met with him a day later and in less than 15 mins, you can judge for yourself the results. Johnny was responsive, courteous, and helpful through the whole process and even agreed to do the work for the amount the insurance company gave me, which was about $100 lower than his estimate. We've used Svensson Autobody Repair eight times over the years on four different cars - old and new cars, minor dings to major repairs - and have always been 110% satisfied! Johnny Sanchez is fair, reasonably priced and very easy to work with. He'll deal directly with the insurance company or with you, if for some reason you don't want to go through insurance, and his work is impeccable. There is also an adjacent mechanics, which I believe some of the (negative) reviews are for. This man is a dishonest individual. He took me for at least $1000 worth of work. The way he did it was by assuring me that he could fix everything. Then he gave me an estimate and on the estimate he left out some things. Then when I brought the car in we didn't do a walk around and that's on me. I should've had him point out exactly everything he was going to work on. I had said that another place I had gotten a quote from which was more expensive had said they could do everything for $3000. He said no problem will take care of your car. His quote was almost $1000 less than the other one. I should've been suspicious. In any case when I came to get the car the two major things that were not done were in my original pictures that I sent him before he did a walk around estimate. I also want to say that the work that he did do was below par. Meaning he did not make the car look new again. Instead it look like cheap labor. read more

If I could give less than one star I would. I simply wanted my A/C recharged because I am going on a trip to somewhere hot. Originally quoted 195$ and about an hour work. The man (with no name) at the front was quick to get me out the door and emphasized 'no rush' when I'm the phone he said no more than an hour. I gave them an hour and half then came to pick up my car. The man at the front (same one) said they replaced a relay, without my authorization, and since the work was already done I just said if it had to be done the so be it. Total cost:242$ from a 195$ quote. I took my car and was on my way. When I pulled over not but a few blocks down because my rear driver side window was not rolling up I wanted to see what was going on. It wouldn't roll up and made weird noise when rolling down. When I called the guy was rude, aggressive and claimed they never rolled it down (which they clearly had messed with it. They took off door panel and claimed that a cable was broken. When I made it clear were in the stereotypical shady mechanic territory of coming in for one reason and leaving with a whole list of other issues one mechanic had the nerve to say it was going to break no matter what so I guess let's just blame whoever clicked the window button. Guess it's just a coincidence that when I took it into Shady Svensson that they clicked the button and it broke just then. Filed a incidence report with police. Will be filing suit with civil court. Don't go here, unless you want to be overcharged, disrespected, and shammed. read more

I had my car repaired here. They took over 2 months to repair 2 doors side wiped. I had to get my insurance involved. When I came to pick it up they were still working on it and had to wait for over an hour. There was overspray and the repaired door locks and windows were not working at pick up. 6 months later the back door's locks and window stop working. I called them and Johnny said "...can't help you. Go somewhere else"...Pretty much blew me off. I would not recommend this body shop. In retrospect when I read the Google reviews they were for the Automotive Shop not the Bodyshop. They are different owners. read more
