However when I stopped in they did not accept my insurance and quoted about $190 for the frames and another $100 for the lenses. I told the salesclerk I would shop around before purchasing and he stated, "Good luck finding a store that offers these frames and accepts your insurance." And as my daughter and I walked out, he said to my three-year-old " Okay, I'll see you later." I was not impressed at all with his attitude. I called other miraflex dealers and eventually found "The Visionary" in Allen Park. They took my insurance and I got the glasses with lenses for my co-pay. $25. Customer service was excellent there.

They're inexpensive and painless to deal with. I was pleased to see my vision had barely deteriorated since my last eye exam, a year or two after my first visit to the Roseville America's Best. I really should have gotten bifocals though, as my prescription for my nearsighted eyes brings objects into the distance into clear focus but isn't so kind to what's right in front of my face. Not wanting the sticker shock of what that would do to the bottom line and longing to avoid the geriatric vibe of bifocals I forewent them. I can always just take the glasses off to read but in the future I might need to make that pride shattering adjustment. I had to wait several days for my glasses to be ready but it was a day or two earlier than their estimate. I was more than ready to ditch my spare pair as their twofer deal provided me with new spares. It wasn't quite as cheap as advertised, I forget what the up charge was but it still was reasonable. I highly doubt this place is truly America's BEST contacts and eyeglasses but America's Pretty Good Eyeglasses and Contacts as I would dub it likely isn't the best branding.

I found out the brand was by an incredibly unique French designer, Anne & Valentin so I started searching for local distributors. I called 2 places and was told they no longer carried the specific pair I was searching for. I finally called Focus 313 Eyecare and spoke with Andrew who informed me that there was only ONE pair in existence since the designer is constantly rolling out new designs. Andrew ordered my glasses from Paris and within the week they were in the store waiting for me to try them on! I was so excited and happy with the level of customer service, so amazing! I walked into the shop for the first time excited to try on my new beautiful glasses and I was amazed at the eclectic, stylish and unique selection of designer glasses and sunglasses. I was so amazed that I wouldn't have been upset if I didn't like my specially flown in glasses because there were so many awesome selections to choose from I had no doubt I'd be happy with any pair in their store. You can really tell that Andrew is very passionate about his product and the glasses they chose to display in store. They also do various trunk shows throughout the year. Andrew and his wife Dr. Monica are so warm and inviting. You instantly feel very comfortable with her for the eye exam portion. She is very knowledgeable and fitted me with a pair of contacts that were very hydrating for my eyes as the last pair were very drying for my eyes and were uncomfortable. The price point is pretty pricey, but is definitely worth it for the quality, rarity and uniqueness of their carefully selected frames. They are usually running rebate specials so do yourself a favor and get excited for your new pair of glasses that no one else will have because you got them from Focus 313 Eyecare!

5/5/2026 I'm leaving…read morethis review based on my attempt to access my own historical eye exam/prescription information from a previous appointment. I had an exam here on 12/14/2023 and recently tried to obtain the prescription information from that visit. I understand an older prescription may be expired and should not be treated as current. That is not what I am asking for. I am asking for access to my own historical medical/optical record. When I called, I was told the store could see the information but would not provide it because it was "outdated" and due to liability/security concerns. I was also told I could come into the store to get it, which makes the refusal to provide it remotely confusing. If the concern is that it is expired, it could simply be marked as expired or historical. Requiring an in-person visit is not a patient-friendly solution. Patients may no longer live nearby, may lack transportation, or may have accessibility limitations. Identity can be verified remotely. Accessing one's own medical information should not be this difficult. After the call, I tried calling back to ask about the proper records request process, but I was routed to an automated message stating I may receive a callback within two business days. I called again shortly after and got the same message. I submitted a formal written request to Luxottica's Privacy Office for access to my historical eye exam/prescription records. I am not asking for an expired prescription to be treated as current. I am asking for access to my own record. 5/8/2026 Update: LensCrafters responded to this review and directed me to a Customer Care form. I filled it out, and the confirmation said to expect a response from the store within 5 business days. I still have not received the manager callback I was promised. The associate said I would receive a call the next day, and the automated message said I should receive a call within two business days. That did not happen. I am not trying to be difficult. I would much rather LensCrafters simply call or email me, verify my identity remotely if needed, and provide the historical prescription/medical record information I requested. If they make this right, I am happy to update or remove this review and drop the issue. 5/19/2026 Update: LensCrafters Customer Service responded on 5/7/2026 stating they "do not have access to exam records" and told me to contact the doctor's office directly, but did not provide the doctor's office or records custodian contact information. On 5/15/2026, LensCrafters Care Team said my concern had been escalated and that a member of the store team should be reaching out shortly. It is now 5/19/2026, and I still have not received the promised store callback or any records custodian information. At this point, I have also filed a Better Business Bureau complaint. I still just want the record, the correct records custodian information, or a written explanation of any refusal.
