First, the service is outstanding. They were attentive without being intrusive. The staff seemed genuinely happy to be there. It was refreshing. Second, the Slayer Fries are my new obsession. They are coated in garlic butter with parmesan. The Cluck Norris (grilled chicken sandwich) was good. The value is excellent, especially with the daily specials and rewards app. Third, the vibe is so much fun. There's a rock and roll theme with music playing and lyrics on the walls. In search of good old-fashioned burgers around Edmond. This is the 3rd burger joint we have tried and we were pleased with the food and restaurant. The dining area has the appearance of a franchise: clean; organized; bar area; TV's galore, large dining area, etc. The 80's music was fun and at a low enough volume to talk over. The server was friendly, answered all our questions and checked on us often (maybe a bit too often, but it was a slow night). However, the old-fashioned burger was very good. Nothing beats the taste of raw onions on a burger. Not fancy, but solid. The fries were very lightly battered and well-seasoned. My wife had the "Big Fatty" which she thought was good. She had the onion rings which were tasty, crunchy, not greasy but pricy. With only seven rings (2 on the small side) price was about 70 cents per ring. I have tried this place twice in the last month. The first visit, we split 2 burgers, sweet potato fries, and onion rings. We really enjoyed The Fire. The jalapeño bacon tasted very muted. Onion rings and fries were both good but had wished the portions were larger. The second visit, we ordered The Fire again. This time it had no kick and was just okay. I think it was missing ingredients. We also ordered The Brunch. I wanted the hash brown to be crispier. For signing up for rewards, we received a free smothered fry. We did the fire fry. Good flavors but portion was small for what they charge if it had not been free. Highly recommend happy hour and specials and signing up for rewards before your visit. Service was good both times. I only rated a 3 due to inconsistency of food. Hopefully my next visit will be better. read more

Wood was great and service was good but paper towels are not a replacement for toilet paper! The business certainly doesn't want you flushing that but that's what we encountered in the handicap accessible restroom while taking my toddler to the bathroom. This was at 11 am right after opening so not like it had run out over the day! They were out of Root Beer as well which isn't the worst thing but still it's right after opening things should be stocked. My overall experience with this S&B's was just terrible. First they brought out our appetizer and the plates were legit dirty like there was food stains on them. Second my actual burger I got made me sick and the fries were made in old oil. Third, the waitress felt she was entitled to keep my change and when I asked for my change back she said "usually people just tell me to keep the change" I did not tell her she could keep my change she just assumed. This place used to be good, but the service has tanked and the food is starting to follow suit. S&B has been on our normal rotation for food, but we will have to replace them. Tonight was the 2nd time in a row that the service was awful. A waitress was actually arguing with the hostess when we walked in saying that she wasn't getting enough tables, so the manager came up and erased their dry erase tracker and started them all fresh. We were seated, and it was 15 minutes before I got up to go ask what the problem was. We ended up with the bar tender as our waitress, and we weren't sitting at the bar. When our food finally came, it was bland and partially wrong. Oh well, on to the next one. Definitely don't bother until they get their crap together. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I have left this establishment because of how poor, childish, and unbelievably bad the service is. I live in the apartments behind this location and I thought it would be a fun place to walk to and enjoy food, cocktails, and good company. Instead, I have never been more consistently ignored, forgotten, and felt like a burden. I have visited this location 3 times and on all 3 accounts I have been seated and immediately ignored. Every time I have had to track down a member of the wait staff. The service I have received has been a comparable interaction to babysitting children. Most of the time I have seen the wait staff huddled together on their phones, talking and basically waiting time. It's fine for a few minutes, but 15 minutes of standing around and chatting it up is upsetting to a customer when you have been waiting those 15 minutes to get a glass of water. Unfortunately, the time that it takes to get one drink of water is about at long as it takes to get a drink, your order taken, food delivered to your table, and pay. I like the food, I like the cocktails, I like the music, I like the location, but I will never dine at this restaurant or any other chain of this restaurant again. My money is better spent elsewhere, and I would like to save myself the embarrassment of finding a waiter to do their job. read more

The hamburgers are good; really like that you can opt for the slider size if you're not that hungry or just want a smaller size. Also like the option to have it on greens. Staff is usually very helpful. The only downside is the volume of the "horrible music". The staff say they aren't allowed to turn down the volume of the music. S&B - Sugar and Bacon; their two highlights. I got a burger with Mac and cheese and chili. It would've been very good, except the chili was not very good and ruined the rest of the burger. The patty and buns and Mac&cheese were all good. We got the chips and house dip appetizer. It was ok, nothing special. However; this is my recommendation for you - go there for dessert. Skip the meal and instead order a shake. We shared a peanut butter shake, and I must say, it was one of the best shakes I have ever had in my life. The shake (and the kind wait staff) is the only reason that I will be giving this restaurant 4 stars. I consider myself a professional shake drinker (over 20 years of shake-drinking experience) and this was one of the best. I would give it a 9/10. Very creamy and the perfect level of richness. Was really surprised to see this new Edmond location lacks any of the culture of the others. If they are trying out a new look... they failed. Nothing like the other S&Bs. We sat in the bar area and waited for service for several minutes. The bartender came over and was friendly. Another server came over and argued with him about our table then proceeded to provide the worst service I've had in years. We simply could not find her when we needed something. We spent the whole time looking around for someone to care. I finally gave up and asked for the manager. She listened, but was only interested in seeing us leave. While we shared feedback with the manager our server walked around shaking her head. VERY uncomfortable. No resolution. We will NOT be back. Felt like an inconvenience. This place will not make it. If you want good food and GREAT service in Edmond .. go to Louies and ask for Sloan. Best service in Edmond. read more

The food was meh and the portions were small and it felt REALLY expensive. I paid $16 (before tip) for a burger and a side, no drink. I got the The Avocontrol (Skip The Bun) and Bowl Of Trees. The burger patty itself was good, but all the trimmings were either average or lackluster. The "cumin aioli" came on the side, in my case, and it had SO MUCH lemon flavor to it that I couldn't enjoy it. Kind of nasty. The Bowl of Trees was a small portion of broccoli with reasonable portion of bacon, almost no cheddar cheese, and garlic butter. The burger was $11.25 and the side was $3.55 ($14.80 + tax was about $16). I won't eat here again. The cost for the portion and quality was unreconcilable. read more
