As soon as I walked in, it felt homey and I just knew I was going to get some fresh ingredients! Service was super helpful and friendly. My husband and I shared the chicken club sandwich with fries and an extra order of onion rings. The sandwich came with an organic marinated grilled chicken breast, bacon, cheddar, avocado, lettuce, onion + housemade mayo on freshly baked sourdough. Everything melded together nicely. That toasted bread was . The French fries were fresh and definitely tasted homemade, I didn't leave one fry behind lol. The onion rings had a very light batter and went down pretty easy. My husband thought they were a little too greasy but they're fried in oil so what are ya gonna do? What I also thought was impressive was that their dip for the onion rings and the ketchup were homemade also and honestly was the best tasting ketchup I've ever had. The elderberry mimosa was also nice on this Sunday afternoon. Highly recommend Estero Cafe.

The buttered bread and cheese overwhelmed the thin layer of mushrooms. The texture of the sandwich just didn't work, with mushrooms and spinach falling out on every bite. Side salad was the mixed greens you would get at the grocery store packaged, with some red onion on top. That was it. The onion rings were super thin and the batter fell off before you could dip. No texture and no crunch. Very disappointing. Wish I took a picture. The road noise is pretty terrible on the patio. We were there an hour before lunch closing. Service was wonderful and warm.

We ordered the Coastal Tacos (rock cod) and Fried Chicken Sandwich. At first we were concerned that it might not be enough for us, but when the food came, we realized our worries were for naught. Both the tacos and the sandwich were quite large and also quite messy, but if a taco or fried chicken sandwich is not a little messy, it's probably not very good! The decor retains the flavor of the building's roots. I seem to recall reading that it was a stage coach stop (or railroad stop?) during an earlier life, which is completely believable since it was built in 1864. Rustic, but with some modern touches. We plan to stay at the Valley Ford Hotel again, and when we do, we'll wander down the stairs to Rocker's Roadhouse for dinner. I hope there's oyster Po' Boys on the menu by then!

Somewhere along the line yelp reviews for Rocker Oysterfeller in Valley Ford became yelp reviews for Rocker's Roadhouse prompting this update. Ages ago I happily awarded 5-stars to Rocker Oysterfeller but when I came to Rocker's Roadhouse for lunch on a recent Monday afternoon things were decidedly not 5-star. The bar area that one enters first had no patrons despite a table of dirty dishes remaining. When we announced we'd like to stay for lunch we were asked to wait while a table in the dining room was cleared. That's exactly what was cleared: one table in the dining room. There were two other tables of customers in the dining room and now a single clean table. Every other customer-free table in that room was stacked with dirty dishes left by previous customers. This wasn't just unappetizing. It was disgusting and we opted not to stay for lunch. I'm hoping this was some sort of aberrant situation as opposed to standard operating procedure. C'mon Rocker's Roadhouse, get your act together.

They have a good selection of snacks and drinks for the beach, plus some cute gifts, sweaters, and shirts. I especially liked their little logo, really cute beach town vibe. The employee didn't really say much and just rang us up, but the store was clean, the bathroom was clean, and they had lots of fun things to look at while stopping in. Definitely a convenient spot to grab a few things before heading to the beach.

The oysters were fresh, clean, decently sized, not gritty or overcooked, but if I had to choose my favorite was their roasted garlic lemon butter oysters Roasted Garlic Lemon Butter - we enjoyed these oysters the most and liked the garlic flavors and citrus taste from the lemon. The sauce mixture didn't overpower the oyster and was well-balanced Baked Rockefeller - if anything all we really tasted was spinach and didn't notice any bacon pieces and if so it prob got lost in all of the spinach that it was nowhere to be found. The breadcrumbs weren't crisp and was an afterthought too Service could be improved on as we weren't acknowledged when entering (we were the only ones in there at the time and lowkey felt quiet/awkward), the person who delivered our oysters was friendly though. Many different ways you can order oysters and they have different sizes too which is a plus. They have a little gift shop area and tables to sit at indoors or outdoors. If I were in the area, I wouldn't mind stopping here again but it wouldn't be my go-to. I'd prob try out other versions of their oysters and pass up on the Rockefeller next time.

A portion of the proceeds benefits Stewards of the Coast & Redwoods, the non-profit working in tandem with the California State Parks in the Russian River region, and the Bodega Volunteer Fire Department. $20 is a little steep though. We were handed a raffle ticket with no pen or instructions. When we finally got a pen and walked back, we told the raffle box was at the main stage on the far side of the event. We decided to get something to eat since we were waking past the food. Several food tents were sold out of food early! The food was okay and not surprising...over priced. When we got to the main stage, we were told it was too late to put in our raffle. I think it was a bit unorganized but I got over it and did some wine tasting. You have to buy tickets for the tasting. The pours were weak. With a $20 entrance fee and towards the end of the day, I thought they could have done better. For starters there is an entrance fee of $15 or more (can't remember as this happened back in April 2022). Why is there an entrance fee?? It's just a bunch of vendors like you would see at a farmer's market. There was music which was nice, but again, why is there an entrance fee? It's not like we're getting a drink with the entrance fee. No, I would not recommend this.
