Paid for a rebuild to be done by mark... came back leaking coolant upon start up, dirt and grime all over.. used spark plugs, used coil packs, oil stains on intake manifold, missing a knock sensor, ending up so far spending about 1000 dollars chasing parts that were lost or damaged. Mark is extremely aggressive and rude in person, was referred to him by a third party. Told me that he told third party if I showed up to his shop he would "throw my all my shit in a box and throw it the fuck out of his shop, but no disrespect". Maybe it's because it wasn't a Honda motor, but dude does extremely sloppy work and acts like he knows more than you. Stay away from this shop! read more

I wish there were more shops like this closer to where I live. This is one shop that goes beyond what you expect in an engine swap job. I brought my 99 Honda Accord here to get an engine swap with a Honda Prelude engine and was amazed at how clean the results were. I can't speak for others, but from what I've experienced is that Mark shows great quality care on the work that he does. I took my car to get inspected by the state referee and barred without any problems. Even the state referee mentioned to me how clean the swap was and that the car looks to be in perfect shape. Took my gen 1 crx in for a LSVtech swap... took longer than originally quoted.. and during the upgrade Mark kept adding costs saying he didn't know that would need to be done...ie wiring. When we got the car it was sputtering at high rpm and not starting every time... Mark said it was the fuel pump... I changed the fuel pump and relays that control the pump and still having issues with fuel pump. Took it to another shop to find out that intake and throttle body were wrong for the engine and so is the wirieng.... he charged extra for the wiring .... the shop I took my car to said I paid too much and they would have given me the car back with the ls swap running and still paid less..... i have reach out to mark multiple times for help with no response, will now be paying another shop to clean up his mess read more

I called Mark about two months ago, late February, and told him about my situation with my car. I wanted either a k20a2 cylinder head put on a k24 block (which mark said that he could do), or a whole k20a2 engine replacement. When I got a hold of Mark he told me that he would rather do the k20a2 cylinder head on the k24 block instead of the whole engine replacement, but that his shop is a little backed up and I would have to wait a month or so. I also explained to Mark that I have cash in hand. A month passes and I give Mark another call, just for him to beat around the bush again and give me the same answer. Lastly I tried to call Mark one last time on 4/29/21, and unfortunately was met with a answering machine twice. I left a message and I still haven't received a response from him. I don't believe 3 months is a acceptable time to put off a customers project, especially if they have cash in hand. read more

I needed someone who would treat my car like their own and Mark is that guy. Called and setup an appointment to do a drum to disc brake swap on my 98 EJ. I supplied the RTA, brake lines, and all the other parts for the swap. The RTA came with ABS sensors and Mark got everything installed w/o any issues. Clean, professional installation hand down. Let me start by saying he was EXTREMELY unprofessional by putting off the swap of the engine for weeks and weeks and when my fiance decided to opt for a better option he basically tried to tell my fiance that it was my fiance's fault and not his own for the lag like are you kidding me? He also made the excuse that he already bought the materials, If so why was begining this project delayed? They had set a date to start and he was the one to lag on him not the other way around. Secondly they had spoke about maybe paying in payments so this was not a strange thing to bring up, by the time it got to picking up the car my fiance came (NICELY IN NO WAY DISRESPECTFUL) to talk about if he could do payments but now all of a sudden this guy gets in my fiance's face screaming talking about "HELL NO WE DONT DO THAT I KNOW HOW YOU PEOPLE ARE" You people???? So because my fiance looks a certain way this means hes a crook and not a man of his word? Maybe if my fiances skin was lighter he wouldve treated him nicer since i see he doesnt treat everyone in the reviews like this. My fiance's car is a show car worth 5 times more than the engine swap was worth so why treat him like a scumbag who doesn't have money. I have never seen this type unprofessionalism. Hes extremely rude and snarky I will be telling everyone and anyone not to come here. And let me add that when my fiance finally got the full amount and paid all of a sudden his attitude changed, when he pulled my fiance's car out he smacked it on the bottom him being a mechanic you would think he knows not to go fast while pulling the car out since it is on bags but no he smacked the bottom basically messing up the exhaust so a week later my fiance had to get it welded back In place because MARK had made a huge hole in it and he never even mentioned this. Also the hood now doesn't close right because I dont think he placed the engine right and so he dented/creased the hood trying to slam it closed. He also didnt even connect the intake back??? After paying 4,000 plus dollars you would think they would at least put everything they took apart back together. If yelp would let me give zero stars that's what I would've put for this man because he truly deserves it with that pompous and cocky attitude he has. Its hard for me to say a lot because im not good in english. But this ssr helps me a lot. They help me put my new suspension and its really good. Quality is awesome. They put my new wheels too. Only shop that wasn't insulting when they heard a woman's voice on the phone. That alone gives them points in my book. Then they gave me the lowest estimate. I had a swap done by Mark in my 89 CRX when my old engine seized up at 223k miles. The new motor runs strong and accelerates better than the motor it had when I bought the car! When I got home from getting the work done my car wouldn't turn back on again! D: I called Mark back and he said to bring it back in for a look. He took a look at it and my ignition had gone out! He ordered the part and got the car done the next morning! To top it off he only charged me for the part! When they didn't have change he gave me back a $20 instead of the $11 he actually owed me! Had a pretty serious oil burning issue on my Integra and did some research. Came across swap shop racing, after speaking to the tech Mark. He told me to bring the car on by and that worse case scenario I'd need a rebuild. Which is what I expected anyhow. I had an extra sleeved b18c block which also needed a rebuild, which he told me to bring along and he'd check it out. Speaking to him for 20 minutes or so, this guy really knows his stuff!! He recommended sending my sleeved B18c to the machine shop to get checked out. After that checked out he came up with a parts list we agreed on and he went to work. He sent me pictures of the engine build as he went along, and told me everything I needed to know a head of time so there wouldn't be any surprises. Got the car back and this thing runs like a champ! He even noticed a few other issues needing attention and knocked that out while he was working on the car!
