Could have been better is right to service my 1972 Omega Seamaster Cosmic 2000 I received back then as a HS graduation gift, (thanks Dad). I don't blame US factory service but factory service in Switzerland where it had to be sent four times over an 18 month period to have it repaired correctly. First time they replaced a lot of parts for the $700 or so it cost me which seemed reasonable. But then the crown came off. When that was repaired the automatic watch simply would not keep the watch running for more than 36 hours. Took two more return visits to have it functioning almost as new which at this point is good enough. Between the third and fourth visit the US reps were reticent to even respond to my e'mails but a call to HQ at least got them communicating again. Would I do it again? I suppose so, but if you do, prepare for a long ride and quite a bit of frustration. My brother had a better experience with them with his Omega than I did so there is that. Also, the total cost never changed; all the additional trips were handled under warranty so the 2 year warranty actually works. read more

Swatch Group repair has had my watch for 6 months after an initial estimate of 1 month. Every month I get an email readjusting the repair time estimate and pushing it further out. The company is unresponsive to request of better communication and the vibe from customer service: WE DONT CARE. Essentially as a customer once thet have your watch you have no options or considerations. I have sent other fine watches back for service and have never experienced this kind of disregard. Omega serviced my seamaster planet ocean 20 months ago. They destroyed the reliability of the watch. Mind you, it was returned 4 times to the service center as watch stopped keeping time, crown and stem fell out. Would only run for 12 hours and quit. Prior to the intervention it worked fine. Just needed its first service. It's incomprehensible how a factory service center can mess-up as bad as they did. Calling customer service is a waste of time as you're left on hold for hours. Calling other numbers at Omega get you more hold time and the answer we can't help you. Not my department. Website contact form goes into the ignore queue. Omega boutique that handled to service is useless as well. Is Omega still in business? Or are they about to go out of business? Just where is my $5,000 watch? Is it vacationing in Biel. I called and inquired about a full service for my Omega Seamaster on 02/08/21. I was delivered a box to ship my watch back to the service center on 02/16/21. The box included a foam insert to protect my watch during shipping and a sheet to fill out any additional information/specifics on the work to be completed. A prepaid shipping label was also provided. The service center received my watch on 02/17/21. I was given a quote and proceeded with the service on 02/19/21. The service was completed on 02/26/21. The watch was delivered back to me on 03/01/21. It came back to me in an Omega case, with all the parts that had been replaced, and my invoice. All shipping was completed via FedEx. You will be provided an account and password to their service website. You will be able to track the status of your service every step of the way. When choosing the official service center of any brand, prices are always expected to be higher. Through my experience, it was worth every penny. The turn around time was a lot shorter than I had originally prepared myself for. My watch looks brand new and I am very happy with the work completed. The two year warranty that comes with the service is an additional plus. I would not hesitate to bring another watch back to this service center. read more

Sent my Hamilton watch in for a replacement crystal, the watch was working perfectly when I sent it in, it was brand new and the crystal shattered into two large fragments, with no shards. The service center tried to tell me that I needed a full overhaul, including a brand new movement because shards of crystal had gotten into the movement and the hands were not moving. This was going to cost me more than the watch cost me new. I requested that they send it back to me without service. When I received the watch back, as before I sent it out, it is keeping time just perfectly. All it needed was a new crystal. I have read horror stories about the swatch group repair centers trying to pull this scam, I just wish I would have read them before sending my watch in and wasting all of this time. read more

I was risking a good amount of money feeling that I found something that I truly liked but unsure of authenticity and state of disrepair. This business checked my watch, found serial numbers and authenticated (unofficially) my purchase as real and not a fake. Albeit in sad shape overall. I was told that service on this particular watch, due to its date of manufacture, would have to be done in Switzerland by a master horological professional. The customer service is really good and always starving for more. After picking up my watch ive realized that my ceramic bezel isn't lining up with the 12mark. I have told them and they tried to fixed it few times with no success. Telling me that's the best that can be done . The issue has been resolved under 5 min by a different watchmaker . Disappointing and makes one think if the inner intricate movement is been handle at the same level. ***update 06/20/2018. It is a little more expensive but there is a 2 year warranty from the factory and it is a little assurance that the work was done to specifications.
