Visited the Field this weekend with the family. They loved the pokemon exhibit and the treats from this bakery were perfect! The gift shop was lacking, and these treats really made our kids day, as it was something they wanted and enjoyed. Also my wife and I just had to get the capsules to test our luck and it was very fun! Cards are basic, but it was a really fun experience for the family! Cake pops and brownies are fantastic! And the signage they have for choosing your starter was so cleaver and another fun, interactive thing for the kids. The packaging for the card cookies was very cleaver and the cookies were perfect to have with coffee! Definitely going to be making a trip out to your store to try more sweet treats! read more

Went to the field museum and bought one of their pokemon cookie. Cookie was probably one of the worst cookies I've ever had. The cookie taste like ink and the texture was like cardboard. I bought them as a gift for my husband and me because we're huge supporters of local businesses, the Field Museum, and, of course, Pokémon. The cookies were bland, dense, and lacked the buttery, sweet flavor I expect from a sugar cookie. We ended up finishing them only because they were quite expensive. I do not live in the area and have never been to there brick and mortar store, but was looking for a light breakfast and decided to check them out. when I was at the Skokie Farmers Market. It was a warm morning and after shopping at the market I wanted something lighter that wouldn't weigh me down, I was deciding between this bakery and the Italian ice stand , but when I saw the unique savory options the offer, I decided on the bread sticks and was not sorry at all! They were delicious and the marinara/tomato dipping sauce was very refreshing! I look forward to trying the pretzel and focaccia next time I make it to the market. They had an Easter sampling event today. Since I hadn't had the opportunity to stop by before, I thought this would be the best way to try out some of their goodies. Best idea ever. The samples were all fantastic and not only that, they asked if I wanted to take more of the samples home! Then prepared me a little box full of everything I loved to share with my gf kiddo. The standouts were the key lime pie (SOOOO GOOD!!) and the broccoli casserole. After sampling everything outside I went inside for more temptations. They have fried gf donuts which are hard to come by and theirs were good! Gf foccacia that was fluffy, delicious and didn't fall apart!! Everything I've tasted so far has been an absolute home run! I also bought the flop cake and cinnamon rolls but haven't tried them out yet. With my purchase they also have me a free vanilla ding dong. I picked the best day ever to visit the shop and I am so excited to get more treats from Swedish Girl Bakery in the future!!! read more

I'm someone who loves gluten, so I was honestly expecting the cake to be dry and taste like cardboard - but it was absolutely amazing! It was so moist, flavorful, and truly one of the best cakes I've ever had. The team was incredibly easy to work with - I loved that everything could be handled over text, which made the whole process super convenient. Cute new bakery in my neighborhood. I don't have any dietary restrictions or allergies, but wanted to give them a try. They had a very large selection and the woman helping me was super friendly. I was able to try a few samples, as well. The focaccia was my favorite and I was surprised by the texture of this gluten-free bread. The other items I tried were a bit too sweet for my taste. This is a dedicated gluten free bakery.The ding dongs & focaccia garlic bread is outstanding! They are a bit pricey though.

We visited their stand at the Skokie Farmer's Market. I've had celiac disease for 6 years and this is the best gluten free bread I've ever had. My daughter who is INCREDIBLY picky loved their bread, cookie and muffin. The focaccia tasted like actual focaccia and not gluten free. We will be going back, thank you! read more

After talking to the nice lady at the front she recommended the chocolate ding dong and raspberry oat crumble bar. I asked if they sold coffee or any drinks at all but no luck. They plan on adding drinks soon. Anyway, I tried the treats and both were very good! Neither were too sweet and still hit the spot. My husband and I stopped here to morning. They recently opened a month ago. The interior was super cute, I love the Swedish theme. The staff were super kind and friendly, offering samples and explaining all of their goodies. They had a decent selection. We got carrot cake, Flop cake, and a cosmic brownie! So yummy! read more

He bought 2 individual size Swedish Flops (which were very good) and a chocolate cupcake for $36.
