They told us it was because, at the end of the appointment, the doctor asked if we had any concerns. We casually mentioned our child has occasional constipation, and the doctor gave some very basic advice--eat more fruits and vegetables, cut back on starch, that's it. And somehow that turned into an extra charge of $262. That's what really shocked me. Is Allegro so desperate to make money? It feels like during a standard checkup--something you assume is fully covered--you're almost being prompted to bring up questions, only to get charged for it afterward without any warning. How is that okay? It honestly feels misleading. If this is how Allegro operates, I can't imagine families feeling comfortable going back. This kind of experience really breaks trust.

    Had my little about 3 yrs ago and did extensive amount of research into where and who my little saw…read moreas their primary DR as I have some unique health issues, and was worried about my little inheriting them as well so I wanted someone and somewhere that would be knowledgeable, experienced and equipped to handle unique care if needed- I landed on Allegro Pediatrics and Dr Shih is our primary but have seen 2 other providers when she was not available and have called the nurse like a handful of times and ever time iv had exceptional experiences- never made to feel like the "new mom" my worries were heard and not dismissed (coming from a complicated medical history this was a big worry) We ended up moving a few hrs away but we are unwilling to see another practice at this time and they are worth the 2 hr drive for peace of mind in the great care they have provided my family-

I mean truly. With a family history and an estimated 52% chance of getting breast cancer, I have been doing annual mammograms since 1995. In those years, I've had dozens of breast ultrasounds, MRIs, biopsies, mammos. The actual medical part of Rayus did feel like I was in the Four Seasons of breast care. The doctor spent a LOT of time walking me through why they were concerned about the two anomalies and even gave me her direct phone number and even was the person who called to review biopsy results. (spoiler alert: both biopsies were benign) Admin / part 1 scheduling: Mixed bag; 1 STAR. AVERAGE on-hold time was well over 20 minutes. One time I held for 25 minutes and then they hung up on me. :( Longest hold time was 38 minutes. Truly unethical, IMO. We aren't doing imaging for sport. We are doing imaging because we are searching for bad agents and/or something isn't in the right place and it is stressful and can you not pick up the phone? Good god. Was bad enough that that I DROVE (20 minutes each way) to the nearest Rayus and walked into the reception to book the appointment in person. Admin / part 2 referral bermuda triangle: 0 STARS. "the doctor didn't send the referral yet" seems to be a pat answer, followed by "call back in a week; doctors always say they sent the referral but they lie." Another pat answer. One Rayus rep went so far as to say "the referrals come in by fax; there's a pile on the floor, it takes us sometimes a week to sort through them all." (Are you F***ing kidding me? As a weird aside, I got a nearly identical answer 8 years prior when they kept "losing" or "not finding" the doctor's referral.) Again: I'm doing this because I have a family history of breast cancer. Must I also suffer through the indignity of knowing that my time-sensitive pre-auth form is relying on 100-year-old fax 'techonology' ? Billing: Wait, is Bernie Madoff your accountant? -17 STARS. I arrive for first breast MRI and receptionist informs me that my "copay" is $500 since I haven't met my deductible. Hmm. I'm not sure this is correct, but she's very concise: "If you don't pay up front, then you don't get the imaging done today." Oy. I asked who I'd contact to work this out, saying that I had already met my deductible. "Um, no, there's no one to contact. We don't give refunds." So then I return the following week and I'm given the exact same shpiel. This time I'm told that I need to pay $335 for my "copay" and, again, no money, no imaging. "You'll need to call to reschedule." Then they send me an invoice for $301, claiming on the invoice that I had paid them $0. Feeling desperate (because who has an extra thousand dollars laying around?) I call my insurance company. Who, thankfully, is appalled on my behalf. "Oh, no, no. You *never* prepay imaging. That's not part of our contract with Rayus." I'm on hold about an hour total. But the good news is that after the one hour with insurance, Rayus did refund me the $835 they 'overcharged' me (or stole from me, depending on how precious you are about word choice). Other good news is that the money was back in my account in about one week. That was one month ago. (cue Jaws music) Yesterday I got a Rayus invoice informing me that I stilllll owe them $301 and their invoice still shows that they have received $0 from me and $0 from my insurance, which is wildly incorrect. I think between the four visits and eight procedures insurance has already paid them a few thousand dollars. And, yes, I will owe 20% for the first $1,000 billed. But something's rotten in Denmark when the medical billing is that insanely incorrect. Weird p.s. to all this: I got frustrated that I could not find a billing phone number for Rayus and went down a rabbit hole or two and learned that Rayus is owned by a venture capital firm that has offices in NYC and West Palm Beach. Curiouser and curiouser.

I'm in some of the worst pain I've ever experienced in my life but she had me laughing on the phone and well on my way to scheduling an urgent MRI. I've been on a lot of medical calls in the last month, advocating so hard to move forward in treatment and testing. Most offices have made me feel like I'm swimming upstream. Liz went over and above to help me schedule, to provide information about the procedure, and to assure me that she'll do all she can to help. I'm shocked in the best possible way today - and I just want to say thank you. She really takes the cake! I have had nothing but INCREDIBLE experiences here. I've been in for two separate spinal MRIs and the front desk staff, the radiology techs, and the reports after have been thorough, professional, and incredible. I really love their open MRI and it was a great option for me. The radiology tech jammed with me to some classic rock and checked in frequently about positioning, how much time I had left, and made sure I was comfortable.

This made me feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome in the space. He then proceeded to tell me that I needed to go to the desk downstairs, which I promptly obliged. Upon arriving at the desk downstairs, I was not greeted or even looked at. I announced my name and that I was there for my 11 o'clock appointment and apologized for being five minutes late. She then proceeded to tell me that I was going to need to reschedule and that my check-in time was actually 10:45. I explained to her that whoever I spoke to on the phone told me to be there at 11am not 10:45, and if I would've known I needed to be there early I would've shown up early. She explained to me how they supposedly have on file a reminder call in which I never received, no voicemail left, as well as never receiving any type of email confirmation explaining that I needed to be there early. After typing away on her computer for another five minutes, I asked her what she is doing, and she expresses that she's trying to find a new time for our appointment. At this point, I am frustrated, and now 15 minutes past my appointment time. I let her know that I am uninterested in using their services and exit the building with extreme relief that I never have to be in this environment ever again. After the experience in this extremely unwelcoming environment, with extreme lack of flexibility (even 5 mins), and complete disregard for any type of logistical organization, I will never be returning. And drove away with a huge smile on my face that they will not be receiving one dime from me or my insurance company. I am also very excited to let my primary care physician know so that he never has to send a patient here ever again as a referral. His patients deserve so much more than what you all have to offer, which is apparently very little. This business is an embarrassment to the Bellevue medical community, and what an absolute shame for patients that they have to deal with such a lackluster business. PLEASE DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES!! UPDATE: My sister has received a service here. They left her on the exam room table, half naked, for over an hour before she received her scan. She was in her teens at the time and too scared to get up and disregard her primary care physician's orders. We will be alerting all women we know within the greater Seattle area to never come to this sub-par establishment.

It is so much easier for me to navigate through the Kaiser system than locate independent providers through Regence Coverage. You call one number and are set up for all your medical needs. I have NEVER had an easier time or better results than I experienced with Seattle's Kaiser group. Their doctors, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, customer phone representatives and all support staff really seem to care about you and your health. This is problematic. I am the Director of H.R for a company of about 50 people working at the Port of Seattle. We recently changed health plans. Unfortunately, the "upgraded plan" available to executives is a Regence (Blue Cross/Blue Shield Plan). Ironically, I feel like that this "upgrade" isn't an upgrade at all. I LOVE KAISER and I am likely to go back whatever the cost after we renew in January of 2020. I have never experienced better care, more follow up, less wait- time and fewer additional fees than I have with Kaiser. I came in to meet Dr. Church (Redmond), because of a scheduling issue Dr. Church was SUPER thorough, knowledgeable, professional and considerate. After I left his office, Dr. Church researched how best to alleviate my menopause drama. He followed up with both me and my pharmacist and suggested I try a little different medication. Since I have started on my new meds, I am symptom-less!!

The services I've received have been great, and my appointments to visit the doctor are quick. I love that there's a self check-in station, and I usually don't have to wait too long before being called. As far as the lab goes, I've consistently had poor experiences with long waiting time. The first time, I was the only one in line and waited over 20 minutes to give a urine sample. Last week, I came in the afternoon around 3 p.m. to give a urine sample, and a sign was over the kiosk saying that staff was on break and unavailable, so I was frustrated I drove out there and wasn't able to complete my lab (I had to leave). This morning (Friday at 8:30 a.m.) I waited over 40 minutes for my lab. If the wait times weren't as bad for the lab and service was continuous throughout the day, I would certainly provide a higher rating.
