The staff they hire are great, especially the teens who don costumes and bring some joy to the kids as they get their hair cut. This place is a money-grab though, and they know how to do it. $39 for a kid's haircut, plus tip, and you have to wade through a candy and toy shop to get it done. Worst of all, the person who stocks their inventory decided it was a good idea to sell candy cigarettes to preteen kids. Honestly, I thought when these were banned they were gone, not just rebranded. What a place! If you're looking for a completely over the top sparkly foo foo salon, you've found the right spot. Lots of pink and sparkles and toys and hair accessories and lots of stuff all little girls want to take home. Each salon station has pretty costume feathers around the mirrors and DVD stations set up so they can watch movies while their hair gets cut. So adorable! They even have a more manly station for boys but walking in, it's definitely not geared for that gender. It's not just all flash and fash either. I gotta tell you I was very pleased with my daughter's haircut. Very even and she didn't chop it. She actually listened to what I asked. After the haircut, my daughter got a face tattoo star and her hair was sprayed with sparkly hair stuff. She also got a balloon and a lollipop. Well worth the trip here. I just brought my niece here today for her 4th birthday and had a great experience. The reason for the 3 stars is because I had to ask for a lot of things that were told to me over the phone 2 days prior and on the website that we're apart of her package she didn't receive, until asked for. The blonde named Hannah is amazing, she truly outshines everyone there (5 stars for her). The clerk with the reddish hair and updo seemed tense and stressed out and seemed like her attitude was a bit forced, which was a bit awkward. The ultimate spa package was $55 and website says it includes: hair up-do,maincure, pedicure, mini-facial,create your own sugar scrub and bath salt. I was told on the phone she would receive a birthday tiara and birthday sash. When I realized she wasn't, I asked Hannah for the items and she said "of course" and went and got them which was nice of her. Also, we asked if she could walk on the catwalk, which wasn't mentioned but they let her. I believe in-stead of the "facial" she received some makeup and face glitter scales. All in all it was very fun, but it seems the staff is overwhelmed and doesn't have a clear understanding of what each service includes, i understand it being a busy Saturday however it felt rushed. I have been looking or a haircut place for my son and never thought to try this overly pink and purple salon. I called to make an appointment right as they opened and was able to get an appointment right away. I was just around the corner so they got me in 10 minutes later. We weren't the only ones there, but they weren't overly busy either. They had a separate "boys only" chair complete with cars and motorcycles for the little boys to play with. My 2 year old always HATES haircuts and puts up a fight every time. The woman at the front desk noticed my son's Lightning McQueen shoes and immediately put in the Cars DVD. That (and the sucker) caught his attention and the rest of the haircut went more smoothly than I could have imagined. Took my daughter to Tea with Tiana today at Sweet and Sassy. From my understanding this is a place where little girls go to get dolled up and feel good about themselves. Well my daughter didn't get to have that experience today. They went around the circle and did each little girls hair in a style that was similar to Tiana's. When they got to my daughter, they skipped right over her. I interjected and asked why they didn't do my daughter's hair. They responded, "Well we can if you want us to." Long story short I had to do my OWN daughters hair. She was so confused and disappointed. I called the owner after I left and he excused the behavior and blamed it on the young ages of his staff. He also said that he was sorry that I left unhappy so if I brought my daughter back he will be sure she got extra attention on the house. The owner did not ask any names, details or anything! I was unable to speak because he kept speaking over me about the free services. We HAVE to be more aware of our actions. We can not excuse discrimination as ignorance. No matter the intent, it hurts the same. It impacts our children the same. If there is no action there is no change. read more

The first couple of times I took my daughter there we fell in love, got her ears pierced and her first haircut. The third time I went with a friend and our daughters and they were getting mani/pedis and one of the girls (ages 5&6) made a small comment and the girl basically flipped out on her. The fourth and last time was it for me, I had an appointment for 6:40, got there literally a couple of minutes late, because we live 40 minutes away, for a trim and they refused to cut her hair. The idea of getting a spa for girls is a great idea, and it was fun for my child's bday. But, the place is not organized properly. There are high school kids pretty much running the place and there is no fluid communication as girls are getting their nails or hair done. The girls are spilt into groups so everyone is having something done which is good, but once s girl is done with their nails they are left and no further direction is provided for them. I had to guide the girls to next activity and make sure that things were moving along. When I had questions I had to always search for the party lead. They did have good energy in getting girls together. When it was time to eat I had to hand out the pizza and make sure the table was set. There was help but I directed them on what to do. Also towards the end the lead said it was time for her break and someone else would assist, if you are a lead why can't you wait to take your break until the party is done, that is very unprofessional. Also, she let us know that the girls would be getting candy bags no charge and at the end since she wasn't there the person who is the financial manager ( cashier ) told us that she didn't know anything about it and when I asked her to reach out to the lead who said something she told me I don't have her contact. How do u don't have an employee contact info ? And they charge for every little thing. For the money it's not worth it to have a party there. To expensive for lack of experience, and poor communication and direction. read more

My husband and I entered this shop because we have always been curious about it and the pink limo often parked out front. While I have often thought of it as a really cool store for young girls, I HAD NO IDEA!! This place was buzzing with a lot of young girls doing various activities such as getting a hair cut, nails and make-up done, and being able to play dress up. This little shop does a lot, it hosts parties and special events, (girl night out) in addition to providing salon services. They have several packages to choose from so you can pamper your little princess from head to toe for less than $45 or you can include 3 of her friends for a mini-party at $229, For what is provided, I think that the prices are very reasonable because this is all about making memories and making sure that your special little girl has a GREAT time! If I could leave 0 stars I absolutely would in a heartbeat! Me and my family drove an hour to come check out this business as it's my 6 year old daughters birthday and we wanted to surprise her with something cute and age appropriate for her to do on her special day as we aren't from Georgia. So we checked the hours of this business and proceeded to drive their , arrived about 2:15 pm just to see a makeshift handwritten note on the door stating that they would be back at 3pm but could see someone inside so we knocked to see were they closed or what was going on. A girl in a mermaid costume opened and said the manager had left and she was the only person there until the manager came back at 3pm and I told her their website said nothing about them being closed for a certain time just their open to close hours and this was an inconvenience as we drove an hour thinking you'd be open. Told her what services I was looking to get for my daughter and she said she would call the manager to see if she would be coming back early. We walked around the plaza to pass time and 3pm came so we went back to the store as we hoped they'd be ready to service my daughter that way we'd be in and out for her other activities tonight. Once we made it in the store looked barely lit, the two women were not the friendliest did not offer us any services and when we asked the "manager" who gave me the name Taylor on todays date she said they had no stylist and weren't sure she'd be back until 4pm for a party, "if she could make it then" otherwise she was booked until 5:30 pm and they suggest appointments. I proceeded to tell her your website does not say an appointment is required nor does it say you operate with only ONE stylist nor would you be on a makeshift break until 3 which should've been listed somewhere as well. She was extremely unwelcoming, unkind as my daughter sat there upset and did not even offer any solution or type of compensation for a future service as we completely WASTED OUR TIME even coming to this establishment. Just based off this being our very first time interacting with this business theirs NO WAY I'd visit here again & NO WAY I would ever recommend this place to anyone I know here. I would try to find somewhere else that values all customers and potential customers as this business absolutely does not and ruined my child's day and mood. I even asked for her owners number she refused to share it or a supervisor which she refused to do to remedy the issue. If you are looking for lots of girly girl product and princess encounters, this is the place. If you are looking for actual salon services try somewhere else. We have been taking our daughter here for at least 2 plus years. The past 3 appointments were either cancelled same day or the time kept moving. We book at least a week in advance due to schedules. We understand that people fall ill, but this is now a trend. Perhaps more investment should be done to gain additional salon staff and less on candy cases. read more

I had scheduled Ultimate makeovers for my granddaughter and her friend. What a major disappointment. The girls didn't know the difference & I was not going to spoil their day but it was totally not worth it. The brochure describes the experience as an hour long, pampering, glittery make-up, etc. It was none of that. The whole thing consisted of nail polish (that peeled of within a few hours), some eye shadow & some lip gloss. The hair was a mess, my granddaughters hair stuck out all over. All in all both girls were in and out in 35 minutes. I felt like it was a race to get them out. We scheduled this as a test run for a birthday party. We made our first appointment for our toddler's cut. We arrived just under ten minutes past our scheduled appointment and we were told they couldn't cut my son's hair. I was told they tried calling me, which was untrue. I even verified my phone number they had on file. Toddler haircuts- my 2 year old son would not let me cut his hair at home, nor would be let any hair stylist. So I tried toddler Tuesday bc I heard they have a "boys chair." Well...he sat there the whole time and didn't move while she cut his hair!! I was amazed! The boys station had trucks and cars everywhere and a tv. He even smiled. I was very pleased and will be going back! Birthday parties- fabulous! Of course. They make the girls feel so special. check your daughter's earrings if you have them pierced here before leaving- make sure the backs are secured on. i paid for the most expensive earrings here for my daughter's ears to be pierced and the back was not secured- the back was lost and earrinng was half way in for some amount of time before my daughter realized. $80 down the drain because my daughter's ears are not pierced now bc we had to pull the other one out bc she cant have one earring in. we couldn't get the other earing thru the rest of the way read more

This was our second visit to Sweet and Sassy. On the first visit we did the full glamour package for $60. They spent lots of time she got a haircut with extras, facial, full makeup application, nails and toes painted with accent details, rings and toe rings, sparkle lotion and arms and legs. It seemed really worth the money for what you got. Today we did the $24 glitter glam. It was a complete rip off. The lady spent less than 1 minute doing the fancy updo. She didn't even use a brush or a comb. Picture grab 2 strands of hair twisting pinning and that was it. She sprayed her hair with glitter spray. She then quickly and and very messily painted her nails. One coat and about to the same level of quality my 7 year old would do one herself. The makeup application consisted of 1 swipe of pink eyeshadow and lip gloss. She then got a glitter star on her face. My daughter asked could she have the heart too but no only one spot is allowed. My daughter was in the chair less than 5 minutes total for $24 and she can't have a second dab of glitter? This is a complete waste of money. The overall atmosphere here is extremely disappointing. The staff is unprofessional too. Adorable place, excellent concept, unfortunately after visiting about 5-10 times trying to work with them for haircuts or product purchase, etc.. I gave up.
