I ordered a custom cake for a milestone celebration and had high hopes based on the communication and presentation. Unfortunately, the experience ended in disappointment -- and silence when I tried to respectfully address the issues. That said, we never finalized or confirmed the exact design or color palette before the cake was made -- which felt unprofessional for a custom order. Things could have gone badly if I hadn't happened to like the final appearance. I also want to clarify that the inspiration photo I sent was not AI-generated. It was a real photo with some color adjustments, and I clearly explained that. Claiming it was AI to justify the design changes wasn't accurate. At pickup, I appeared happy and polite, but only because the cake was already completed -- there was no point in making a scene. I hoped the taste would make up for any concerns, but unfortunately it didn't. The flavor and proportion were the biggest issues: - I requested 2 fillings, chocolate filling with sweet cream filling (and have written proof), but the cake had no chocolate at all. Only something that was whipped cream. - There was far too much frosting and filling, and not enough actual cake. The cake was good, even though a bit dry. - It was overwhelmingly sweet and difficult for anyone to eat. Most of the cake remains untouched in our fridge. More than half. I emailed afterward to explain all this calmly and clearly, even offering to return the untouched cake and revise my review if we could reach a fair solution. I received no reply at all. I was heartbroken because I put real care and excitement into this order. What should have been a joyful moment ended with frustration and being completely ignored. This isn't about personal preference -- it's about clear miscommunication, missing elements, and lack of professionalism after the fact. I can't recommend this business based on my experience.
