They have plenty of seating, some upholstered furniture and we saw a few Friday morning telecommuters working on their laptops and sipping their coffees. Our order was a Chai Latte and a Cold Brew - each was $5. The pours were very large, and I swear that my cold brew was the very best I've ever had. I love coffee, drinking it hot or cold, and what I had here is in my all-time Top Five Percent. It was that good. I had a sip of my wife's Chai Latte and thought it was excellent as well. What really impressed me were the flavors of both drinks- not overpowering, but strong enough to appreciate them. The Coffee Guy has it all - specialty coffees, matcha, chai, espresso drinks, and pastries and sweet treats to pair with your coffee cup. We couldn't resist grabbing a few on our way out, and we took home a box with a Spinach croissant, iced blueberry scone, and a cruffin (croissant/muffin hybrid). We loved our visit to the Coffee Guy, and I was so impressed by the total experience, I just subscribed to their newsletter. I've been here once before, but didn't get anything out of the ordinary This time I got the blueberry crumble Iced latte and a chocolate chunk cookie. The ice latte,l had blueberry drizzle, cheesecake cold foam and cheesecake crumble pieces on top. It was so good, however, it was like drinking dessert in a cup. Definitely a dessert latte! His name is Taki Tanaka, and he's a master at crafting any coffee you might desire. He can be currently found at the very unique space combining dance and drinking coffee, Garage Dance Studio & Coffee Lounge. While the dance studio and the coffee lounge share the same space, they don't share the same hours of operation. I was here a few months ago, to find the coffee portion in the dark and the dance floor in full bloom! I came again yesterday afternoon, to find the opposite. This time the coffee lounge was open, and no one was on the dance floor. The inside is set to look like you're in somewhere in Madrid amongst the colorful buildings, where the tables are all adorned with red tablecloths. Of course, the barista working was Taki Tanaka. We chatted briefly and he made me the most delightful Honey Fig Latte. It was creamy, foamy, with a beautiful rose art design he hand poured himself. This was mildly sweet, rich in coffee, utterly satisfying with each sip. I just wish there was dance to see.

Instead, she picked up both tickets, looked at them, and threw them away without starting my order. She then began cleaning the machines and eventually went to the back, leaving me waiting for about 20 minutes with no update. When she returned, I asked for a refund since I needed to leave. Rather than processing it, she repeatedly insisted on making the drink, even after I clearly said I preferred a refund. She told me she would process my refund. Two days later the charge went through. The interaction felt confusing and poorly handled. I completed their survey, submitted a comment via their website, and sent them a Yelp message. None which were responded to.

I suspected that meant "in a microwave" so I said if it was fresh, I didn't need it warmed. When the bagel arrived, it was ice cold. Must have been kept in a fridge, which doesn't help the taste or texture of baked goods. Because of that, it did not seem particularly fresh. It was certainly not like the New York bagels of my childhood, unless you compare it to prepackaged commercial bagels (like Lenders). I got a large iced with regular milk. I can appreciate all of their different milk variations! The pistachio milk was suggested for me to try, but as a big hater of dates, I had to skip it. The latte was rich and a good quality coffee, so the drink went down very smooth. The maraschino cherries on top were a nice touch too. I love the punk rock feel, and will definitely be visiting more frequently.
