There is seating on the main floor, an upper area, the lower back of the restaurant has additional tables and there is a back patio area. It appears that they time the seating to coincide with server capacity.

Several guests who were seated after us were greeted and offered water and coffee before anyone came to our table, which was frustrating. Once our server did come over, though, she was great--friendly, attentive, and took really good care of us from that point on. The coffee was okay, but I definitely would have preferred it stronger. We both ordered the Monte Cristo with breakfast potatoes. The sandwich itself looked amazing, and the raspberry jam was delicious, but unfortunately the meat inside was pretty dry. The breakfast potatoes were SO good and the tartar sauce was honestly some of the best I've had. At $25 for the Monte Cristo, I expected the sandwich to be better, and I probably wouldn't order it again at that price. There were definitely some highlights, but overall it was a bit of a mixed bag.

Ambiance: Well, the literal hole-in-the-wall that is Shirlee Bird has very little to speak of, though the tiny space, including the display of food offerings is cluttered and packed full of everything.
