Once we were settled in our seats, a waiter came and took our order with the same smile and great attitude as our hostess. While we waited for our food my wife and I sipped on a couple of mimosas off the cocktail menu and enjoyed the view from the corner window. I have tried out many different meals during my visits here, but I always go back to their scrambles. Today I tried the Bham Scram. Scrambled eggs are mixed up with house made apple chicken sausage, sun-dried tomatoes and onions all on top of a heap of hash browns that are cooked to crispy perfection and seasoned perfectly. Of course on top of all that there is a generous serving of goat and cheddar cheese, then finally sliced avocado. If you choose this dish I hope you bring an empty stomach! All of their scrambles come with your choice of toast, english muffin or a house made biscuit. I suggest topping any of these options with their homemade jam. Little Cheerful will always be a favorite of mine. I recommend this spot to anyone that is looking for a delicious and filling breakfast while visiting downtown Bellingham. read more

Everyone is welcoming and seems to really enjoy being there. Hubs got the bacon and cheese omelette and added some pepper jack cheese to the hashbrowns, he is not a fan of hashbrowns and he ate almost all of them! We went back twice when we were in Bellingham. My wife loved it. I really appreciated that they had some ways to be adventurous. I got the the Mystery Burrito the first time and it was loaded with mystery and deliciousness. I don't have any "defintiely not" foods so it was fun to see what they would do. The second time I went with the pimped mystery hashed browns. So freakin goood. I wish I could have eaten my leftovers but we were heading back that day. The place is classic downtown bellingham with tattoos and a late hipster vibe. The service was good, but the only negative was the lack of airconditioning while the sun beat directly into the restaurant. So if you are discomforted by heat, you might wanna hit they up earlier in the day if it's gonna be a warm one. Little cheerful is the spot for brunch in Bellingham! The inside is pretty small with somewhat awkward layout of tables, but they keep things moving pretty well and the wait is never unbearable, even if there is a long line. The inside is decorated in the coolest way! Funky, whimsical playful decorations everywhere. The staff looks too cool for school but are actually so pleasant and helpful. The food is by far the best food I have had in Bellingham. I usually get an omlette with hash browns and an English muffin. All super tasty and savory. My only note is that sometimes the meat/cheese ratio is off. There is often more meat than anything else, so maybe ask for them to tone down the meat content if that is a thing for you. I always get a latte and they are divine! Especially for a diner-style restaurant. Yesterday I got a lavender oat milk latte, which absolutely rivaled a coffee shop latte. Came here a couple weeks ago before work. Wow, atmostphere was great. The waitress (can't remember her name, strawberry blonde or red hair) was the sweetest and reminded me what real service looks like. She was awesome. I must have passed by this breakfast style restaurant a dozen times and never noticed it in the last 2 years while servicing my downtown rental but this time a prospective tenant took me to lunch here yesterday. It is a cozy place with great music, but best of all the owner is a master egg chef. I ordered the California in omelette style with veggies (no meats) and it was just awesome. THEY ACCEPT CARDS. We walked around the block a couple times because the original listing and a few reviews mention they only take cash so we searched for an ATM. However, once at the restaurant, I noticed they had a Clover or similar POS. The hostess stated they do take cards and the posting on Yelp is at least six years old and she said she'd mention it to her manager. Service was really pleasant and food came quickly.
