Good full service breakfast place. Recently opened in the renovated space that was formerly Big Top Restaurant. Weekends you can expect a wait and it is noisy and a little chaotic. Once seated, there really isn't a bad seat in the house, and the staff is well trained at this newly-opened point in time. Lots of action, high energy vibe, high density table layout. The parking lot does not seem nearly big enough, but was also newly constructed with the rest of the building. This place is awesome! Our waitress was really nice and talked to us, the ambiance was great as well! There was a screened in outdoor section that was really cool. The location is the old Big Top restaurant, which been completely renovated and transformed into a nicer, newer breakfast/brunch spot. I went solo just to check it out and had the sausage benedict (I thought it was ok and sausage patties tasted like frozen patties you get from the store) with breakfast potatoes (these were good), side of corned beef hash (just ok, nothing special) and a green juice (good but pricey for the amount you get). Service was fine, waitress was nice and attentive, which you'd expect for a newly opened restaurant. I love that it's close to where I live and would go again to order some different things. I do feel the place is pretty pricey, the portions are nice and I'm sure they'll adjust. read more

Our 1st experience with this new jewel added to the neighborhood had a small hiccup however George fixed it fast and without being condensing. We have to admit that we were super excited to have them finally open and couldn't wait to dive in. My husband picked me up the Brunch Burger. The bacon was on the thick side and was tender and crisp. The flavor was fresh and not over powering. The over easy egg was cooked to perfection with the whites cooked and not runny. The yoke was delicious. The beef patties had the char broil flavor but not over powering like baby bear says...just right! The bun was fresh and held everything together nicely without falling apart. All in all a very good 1st impression along with a desire to dive deeper into the menu. Sweet Cafe is a welcomed neighbor and refreshing brunch spot. Yet another terrible place around here! It was nothing like the pictures. I just had a plain 'ol burger, and they botched that to hell and back to the point where I couldn't even eat it! I just ended up munching on the fries that tasted like they were boiled. But that was better than my wife's omelet that was rubbery, and had huge chunks of unsauteed onions in them. Even her hash browns were more like mashed potatoes, not crispy at all like you'd expect! I just have to accept that I'll have to drive a bit to get anything good. read more

Ruben was terrible. About 1 oz on chopped brisket on sandwich. Little thousand island dressing, so waitress ask if I would like more. I said yes as there so little on the sandwich. By far, Sweet Cafe is our favorite breakfast spot. Chilaquiles was terrific and aren't on the main menu. Therefore, have it before it's gone. Finally a good breakfast place in the area. The place looks beautiful inside and is incredibly clean and tidy. There is a ton of natural lighting and the sunroom seating area is very nice as well. The omelettes that we ordered were just the right amount of crispy and fluffy and seasoned and the veggies and additions weren't too big or too small. The potatoes that it comes with are on an entirely different level! Crispy, smooth and buttery and garlicky. Honestly none of it needed any salt or pepper or anything because they were just *chefs kiss* The pancakes were soft and fluffy as well and cooked perfectly and the butter and syrup they came with took them over the top. If I could give this place a 10/10 I would! We will definitely be going back and trying other menu items and telling others about it! read more

We tried this spot for breakfast for the first time recently and were pleased with the food and the service. We would go back again. We got there before 8:00 on a Saturday, so it wasn't too crowded. However, it was still a little hard to hear over the noise. I imagine it must be much much harder to hear when the restaurant is full, so I would highly recommend doing something to dampen the sound if possible. Otherwise we had a nice experience. read more

I was looking forward to this place, mostly because of the online neighborhood hype. We had a table of 6 and waited 30 mins for a table. We were sat at a cramped table 1/2 booth and 1/2 table with chairs on either side. Cramped. I have to say, the place is beautiful and very busy. Service was just eh. Waited forever for the server to come and take our drink/coffee order. Then forever for her to bring the coffee. The forever MORE to get cream and spoons for our coffee. Painfully slow. Food was good, but I think overpriced for the area since I can go elsewhere for cheaper. I like that they serve alcohol like breakfast Bellinis and martinis. Server messed up on our order and didn't bring the sides that were supposed to come with it. Took forever to get butter and syrup. Had to ask multiple times for a refill on my coffee. I shouldn't have to do that. Then we get the bill and she overcharged us on the OJs. We ordered small, she brought large and charged us for a large. She was aggravated when I told her she charged me the wrong amount. I had the front desk fix it. I might go back but they need to brush up on the service. read more

Food is overpriced for the portions. $4 for a cup of coffee and they don't come around with refills you constantly have to ask. On the bill there's a line item for "Service Fee" when I asked what the fee was they said it was if you are using a credit card. But because it's a line item on the bill it's taxed. But if you pay by cash they just subtract the fee amount not the tax. The other thing is about 39 minutes before closing one of the employees starting sweeping and there was dust all in the air. I brought my wife and other son in today, all together. My wife got the SC chicken Pesto Panini, and house potatoes, both were very good and she said she enjoyed them. I think the potatoes were the best I've had here thus far. My kids split a children's hamburger meal with a bonus fruit cup on the side. They finished it all, just barely and the fact that my kids ate everything is a testimony, let me tell you! I ordered a sweet plate this time. I never order sweets for breakfast but I couldn't resist the description of the cinnamon roll French toast option. I have a weakness for good cinnamon rolls. This was a good dish and locked into the flavors of cinnamon roll with its buttery cinnamon drizzle and icing, Dunn Farms maple syrup. The service is efficient and orderly, we got our food very quickly and Everything was smooth and good. We enjoyed our Brunch, which means a lot, because we usually only get out for Brunch once a month these days. It feels great to go and enjoy it. Breakfast potatoes on skillet were rough cut/light smash/double fried. That's how it's done if you know good cookin'! Decor is super clean and understated.
