I was in Moab the last week of December and this was my first stop. The Samson sandwich was fantastic! Roast beef, bacon, blue cheese, and onions make for the perfect combination. I came with my friends family down here to Moab and this food is UNREAL. Everything is delicious and extremely soft like all the baked good are amazing I got cookies and the orange bread is the best thing I've tasted in a long time!!! Sweet Cravings Bakery + Bistro We were in the area and found Sweet Cravings on Yelp. I did not bother reading any of the reviews and just trusted the 4 1/2 Star Average. The staff at Sweet Cravings Bakery sure knows how to handle hungry and impatient guests. There was a line out the door when we arrived, but it goes by quick. Almost every customer had questions or were not prepared when it was their time to order. The staff was quick to give recommendations and good descriptions on items on their menu. Me, on the other hand, knew exactly what I wanted. I ordered their Grilled Turkey Panini and asked if they can make it triple meat. I was also willing to pay extra for the additional turkey breast. I got denied and was told that they could only double the meat. Anyways, I received my Grilled Turkey Panini, and it was awesome. Everything about the panini was delicious. I admit it, it is large enough to satisfy most people, but just was not enough for me. Note to self for next time...order two panini's because they do not or will not add extra meat. read more

Moab off season is my jam, but the downside is that many places aren't open. This little town is booming and maybe that will change in the future, but for now, we were left with fewer options on a Saturday lunch. Lucky for us, across the street from the hotel we found this little spot. There's plenty of parking (though we could have walked) and we rolled up for a late lunch with little expectation except we wanted food before heading out to a small canyon. First things first: the ambiance here is a little country home-ish, but mostly just functional. The edges of the space are lined with down homey decor for sale (I saw more than one Wake - Pray - Slay signs) but that sorta fits the mom's country kitchen vibe. There are for sure more trendy spots, but they're not trying to be trendy. We saw the menu had a few sections: hot paninis, cold sandwiches, salads, and... I don't recall the others. Many had the names of local landmarks and that's part of the fun of ordering. The nice woman behind the counter was VERY patient as we asked a lot of questions before finally ordering a couple of simple sandwiches. Honestly, you're just going to have to read the descriptions and order. Mine had turkey. They're all somewhat simple with a few surprises. They're a little generous on the mayo, but that's not too terrible. You'll be tempted by the bakery case. We had eaten a really delicious pastry for breakfast from a bakery elsewhere, so we weren't craving the sweets yet, but boy howdy if you are, this is the place. Staff was friendly $3.75 for a medium coffee - bad diner coffee served in a to go cup for dine in customers. Complete with room temp cream in plastic tubs. -1 star for the subpar coffee. Tried a sample of the banana bread and it was disappointingly dry. Didn't order any baked goods as a result. The breakfast burrito was solid, perfectly fluffy, moist eggs. It's not a sit down and be served kind of place, but that doesn't mean the service was lacking. The counter staff was super friendly, willing to explain the extensive menu, and made us newbies to this restaurant feel right at home. Food choices were amazing and flexible. My husband had a breakfast sandwich and I chose a hot lunch sandwich - both delicious! They also offer wraps and all items can be eat-in or take out. Great coffee bar. Cute gift shop items. And all their baked goods were made in-house. Zucchini bread was moist and delicious and I got a small sprinkle cookie with my sandwich - a delightful surprise! We came here twice, once for lunch before Canyonlands and a second time to take dinner to go for Arches. Both times were great. Friendly service, pretty efficient. If eating there, I recommend on the patio area and ordering the hot paninis. I got the Adventure Inn and it was so delicious. Wouldn't be great to go though, after sitting in the car for a while. The Delicate Arch was good, should have added more to it like some spice. Tried the Cowboy Cookie - it was sadly really dry. Their small cookies provided with lunch were much better. Had chocolate chip one day (good when warm in the sun) and oatmeal another (the best baked good we tried). The scones were pretty delicious too. If it weren't for the locals recommending this place we probably would have passed it up thinking it was just a bakery. It is actually more of a sandwich takeout with cookies and brownies secondary. There is a large and interesting selection of sandwiches. They are all delicious and fresh. They had awesome gluten free bread as an option ($2 extra) the sandwiches came with a side which we chose bacon potato salad - yum, and a cookie or macaroon. The sandwiches are pricey, but they were the best thing we ate during a week long trip in Utah. Totally worth the money. We had a salmon BLT panini, roast beef with something panini and the next day, another roast beef sandwich and I tried a turkey avo bacon sandwich. Between the two I'd say get the paninis! My fiancé got their chorizo breakfast frittata. We recommend both, but numerous other delicious options. I'd definitely come back to explore their other options. Their bakery looked great. We lucked out on their one day old monkey bread for two dollars, which was a steal! They also brought out free samples from their bakery including the German chocolate cake and strawberry cake, both of which were delicious. We split the turkey sandwich with spinach which maybe too small for some to split but we aren't huge eaters. It was packed with meat, and had a very nice mustard/Mayo on it. Bread was fresh. It comes with a free cookie and a side (chips, potato or coleslaw ). Also got the pumpkin snicker doodles, YUM. Today we came back for lunch in, as they have an amazing selection of hot panini sandwiches, I got the ham with Brie, so good. My husband had a very fresh salad that came with a choice of a huge scone (we had to take that home. My friend got their cowboy cookie and another got a chocolate chip cookie - I tried the chocolate chip later that night and it was AMAZING. OMG - it was an absolutely gigantic cookie and it was fresh and delicious. The following day we stopped in a little later for lunch before driving out of town on our way to AZ. I chose a veggie wrap that was served cold but had grilled peppers and mushrooms on a spinach wrap, with applesauce and a small little cake piece. My friend was delighted with the little bite of cake and raved about it. It was delicious. They have samples out and a very generous menu with tons of healthy options for breakfast and lunch. You can choose from one of their yummy choices or make your own, though I found that choosing one of theirs is a better deal because you get way more ingredients for $9. Otherwise you only get one veggie and have to pay extra for each one. I ordered the chicken strawberry salad with balsamic vinaigrette. It was fine - nothing special about it really. I felt as though it was a very small amount of chicken which I was disappointed about. The candied pecans that were in it were yummy. It does come with your choice of scone - I chose blueberry and it was HUGE and tasty! It also came with a chocolate cookie which was a nice surprise. As soon as I entered, the employee working at the front was friendly and welcoming. This restaurant offers a selection of baked goods and sandwiches, and I got to try a sample of one of their sweet treats before ordering. I ended up choosing one of their sandwiches, the B.L.A.S.T, which cane with bacon, lettuce, avocado, tomato,turkey, a tarragon aioli, and blue cheese. The combination of flavors was impressive without being overwhelming, and I would definitely order that sandwich again if I went back. I got an iced coffee for the road (mocha because I wanted a treat coffee) and a balsamic strawberry spinach chicken wrap (yum!) and brownie cookies (they do all kinds of baked goods). Highly recommended for a quick lunch or baked goods stop! Cute merchandise as well especially if you love dogs like I do. Right now they are also doing high sanitation and social distancing (no indoor dining) and they have a hand washing station before you come in and everyone is requested to wear a mask.
