I was in Moab with my family last week and we stopped into Sweet Cravings Bakery + Bistro twice. The first time we were going to eat lunch inside, but as we have twin 16 month olds we needed two high chairs to prevent them from running all over the restaurant. When I asked at the desk they informed me that they only have one high chair! This was very disappointing as I would think local mothers would enjoy meeting up for a coffee or a quick bite. Not an option if they only have a high chair for one baby. We promptly left and found somewhere else to eat with two high chairs. The next day we returned for lunch to-go on the way to the airport. I ordered a custom wrap for myself, a spinach wrap with grilled chicken, fresh spinach, provolone cheese, another veg and one of their spicy sauces. I found it a bit dry and flavorless. I can't completely blame them since I chose the ingredients, but maybe a bit more of the sauce would have made a difference. I chose potato salad as my side. Although it was a VERY small portion I thought it was delicious. I also ordered a veggie quiche for my boys to share. They did try to be accommodating when I asked for an alternative side to the salad it listed on the menu. They originally offered grapes, but then said they would give oranges instead. When I checked the bag there was a banana instead. If the apple sauce had been in season they could have had that instead. The main part of the quiche was okay, but as a whole I found it disappointing due to it being about 50% crust. This would not have been satisfactory even if I had been the one eating it, but I definitely would have preferred more filling for my toddlers. To end on a positive note I did find the staff pleasant and friendly. I would give them another shot since I only tried a couple of items, but this experience wasn't the best. read more

The staff were great. The place was clean. The good all was pretty average. I think I'd try a panini if I ever went back. They had a lot of amazing looking bakery item. I tried the orange bread. It was light on taste, but the texture was nice. I think I'd be more inclined to return just to try something different from the bakery goods. read more

The staff were incredibly friendly. The BLT and the turkey blt were great. The applesauce (homemade!) was some of the best we've ever had. Excellent breakfast. So good that I wanted to go again the next day (but sadly couldn't). It's hard to go to a bakery when you can't have gluten but when both the bakery and the staff completely understand and serve many gluten-free options, it's easy. The counter staff was really nice. One asked me about what type of gluten allergy I had (she fully understood the various autoimmune issues related to the need to avoid gluten, wheat and other things with like protein and made sure I knew my options and how things were processed. She helped me with what not to choose (things that wouldn't come out the best if altered). I went with the Healthy Boarders special: Warm chorizo, egg cheese quinoa with. It was delicious. This place is stunning. Ambiance is just like any other burger joint. Nothing too fussy about it. Coming to the food, it was heavenly. I had a strawberry lettuce pecan salad. Asked them to add chicken to it. It was out of the world. The best salad I had till date. Then came the jalapeno panini, again with chicken added on request. This was stunning too. If you prefer your food spicy like I do, you can ask for sriracha sauce that they provide. Particular mention about the staff: They are very friendly, though its a self serve joint, they were always around checking things with customers. That shows they care for what the customer thinks. What is this? A sandwich shop for ants!? I'm 215lbs and pretty active, so yeah, I'll admit that I can eat a good amount, but by no means do I need gross proportions of food in order to be satisfied. When I walked into Sweet Cravings, I was excited by the large selection of sandwiches, wraps, and the like. Plus they come with a side of either chips, potato salad... umm... applesauce... or something else. I forget what. I went with the potato salad. Either way, I was expecting a formidable meal to match the large selection and large price. For $10 per sandwich, I was sure that the sandwich and side would taste delicious and fill me up at the end of my hike... I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up. I got my food to go, so I didn't actually see it before I left the restaurant. It wasn't until the end of my hike, after dreaming of this sandwich for a few hours, that I discovered the disappointing truth. Don't just take my word for it though, I posted a picture of the sandwich to the yelp page so that you can see what I'm talking about. On the plus side, the sandwich makes my hand look huge! Also, the sandwich tasted OK, but it was nothing to brag about. All of that being said, the shop is clean and cute and looks like a nice place to hang out. This place is absolutely divine. I went three times over the course of three days because I simple ups not ask for a better tasting, more enjoyable meal after a day hiking. The spicy Thai wrap and the strawberry chicken salad are phenomenal. Great options to take with you when you hike or to replenish your energy levels afterwards. The chefs spicy panini is also incredible. Everything is fresh and full of flavor. Try the bacon potato salad as your side! Considering a desert? The temptation brownie has marshmallow and rice crispies in it. If you go to Moab and you don't stop by here, you've missed a true gem. read more

Food was amazing. We went there three times in 2 days which is saying a lot! Had the crave breakfast burrito, the bomb sandwich, another amazing sandwich with goat cheese and a Thai veggie wrap. All delicious with friendly service! The cafe sells cute things too so it's fun to shop while you wait for food. Also- they give you a tiny dessert with each meal, complimentary. What a great selection of desserts! As a Pennsylvanian I was pleasantly surprised that that had gobs (whoopie pies) and I was impressed! The s'mores cookie was delicious, as was the sandwich I got. Delightful and delicious Lured into this shop by a reference from the Hampton Inn, we were really pleased with what we found. The restaurant is privately run and feels like it - it was clean, friendly, reasonably priced, and the menu was creative. We liked our lunch so much the first day we were in Moab hat we came back the next day, too. I really enjoyed the "4 by 4" jumbo hotdog (included chili, onions, cheese and peppers), while others in our group had custom sandwiches - choose your bread, meats, cheese, toppings. The sourdough was fresh, and the sliced turkey was fresh - not processed. Did I say it was friendly? Great family-owned cafe / coffee shop. Best place in Moab to get work done: good free wifi, not overcrowded (so I did not feel quite as bad occupying a table for several hours), several wall outlets to plug in laptops (if you have a long enough cord). A huge thank you to the owners for that! This was also the ONLY place in Moab that wasn't absolutely packed during the morning breakfast rush each day I was in the area. I thought I should expand my horizons and try other places, but I always ended up back at Sweet Cravings. Stopped by for lunch after long (13.3 miles to be exact) hike at Zion. Cute atmosphere, a nice and cool escape from the 100 degree heat outside. Greeted by really friendly staff! I had the strawberry salad wrap and it was exactly how it sounds - salad with a wrap on the outside. The lettuce and onions were fresh and tossed lightly in the balsamic vinaigrette. Strawberries, pecans and goat cheese (yum!) gave it an extra sweet, tangy and saltiness. I loved my wrap! Was on the pricier end ($9.50 before tax) but I was in the Moab (read: they don't have veggie farms in the middle of August so I was supporting a small business and import fees).Didn't try the desserts but if I had the chance to go back, I would have loved to try it! read more
