I'm giving this place 3 stars. The Tom Yum soup was fair. This had a nice sour flavor, but not enough heat, imo. The Drunken Noodles were decent. Not bad, but not outstanding, either. They had a local craft beer on tap, but it tasted like the glass had been washed in soap but not rinsed. I'm a craft beer nerd and this beer had a soapy, chemical flavor. Maybe it was the beer, but I doubt it. The service was a problem for me. I ordered the beer and the soup first, and when she brought the soup, I ordered the drunken noodles. Not 5 minutes went past, and the noodles were on my table. Fast service yes, but I hadn't gotten halfway through the soup yet, and I still did not have the beer I had ordered!!! This is a pet peeve of mine, getting the entree before I've finished the salad, or soup, or app. And to not have the beer first was a downer. They filled my water glass constantly, which was nice. This place is right across the street from the hotel I stayed at (HIE), so it's a short walk and I don't have to get in my car again after a long day on the road. If I stay here again I will re-visit, but will take my time ordering my meal for sure. read more

The food was good but spicy. I ordered several things and asked for them all as mild as they make so my toddler would eat them too but it was all spicy. Even my husband who likes spicy commented that it was much spicier than he was expecting it to be. If you like heat then definitely go for it because the flavors are good but if you like mild Thai food this place isn't for you. read more

Favorite Thai restaurant in New England. Sweet Ginger is better than many of the establishments we've tried in Boston, the rest of Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. Their pad Thai has just the right level of sauce. Try their crystal pad Thai for a different noodle. Love their mango curry. I don't love Americanized Asian food, but their crab rangoons have a hint of curry and are the best I have ever tasted. Meats, seafood, and vegetables are always fresh. I wouldn't recommend their wine though. Got a bad glass of red wine once. Mixed drinks are also meh. We get take out from this restaurant approximately once a month. We also dine in occasionally, especially since they expanded and renovated. The employees are all super nice. There was one occasion in which they forgot to place my dinner in the take out bag when my husband picked it up. I was seven months pregmant, very hungry, and called the restaurant in a panic. I believe it was the owner who drove it out to our home, which is crazy because they don't deliver, and threw in some drunken noodles for our troubles. Great service recovery. Just in case though now, my husband always checks the bag before leaving. Sure enough, it did happen once again after that. This place gets so busy Friday and Saturday nights that I imagine their take out counter must be mayhem. This place is a reliable source of great Thai food. Sweet ginger chicken with rice noodles and Seafood madness with sticky rice (.75 c up charge) for lunch. Took it "to go". Everything was still nice and hot about 10-15 minutes later. We found seats outside the outlet shops as we had two dogs with us. A little hard to eat without a place to rest your "dish" but we managed. read more

Wife and I bedded down at the local Holiday Inn on the way up to Maine. This place was 150 yards away in the shopping center. The good reviews bore fruit. The place was hot but not unbearable. The wait service took a bit to get to us but they were prompt with our meal. My wife had a garden salad with spicy peanut dressing and spicy basil vegetables with tofu which she wolfed down. I had the coconut soup and the Salmon Teriyaki. Both servings were packed with veggies that were cooked well. Coconut soup was delicious with a spicy tomato flavor. My salmon was a bit over cooked but still edible. Teriyaki sauce was great. We had a bottle of Pinot Grigio that was not terribly over priced which paired well. We topped it off with mango and sticky rice that was fantastic and large enough for two. Mango was ripe. Will definitely come here again. read more

My whole family likes this place, but it's really kind of hit or miss. Some stuff is absolutely fantastic, some of it is not good at all, so you have to be careful. My son loves some dish they have called, "Chicken Fever", which sounds terrible, and to me tastes exactly as terrible as it sounds. Their Pad Thai is a definite skip. It's got no heat to it at all. You might be saying, "Well, just add Sriracha, then! It's definitely there, right?" Negative, Ghostrider. If you want Sriracha, you better bring your own. Speaking of heat, the dishes vary in heat visit to visit, it seems. Some days the Lo Mein Kra-Pow is hot enough melt sheet steel, some days it's just warm. It's very strange. I don't know what level of heat to order, because it's never the same. I'm worried that one day I'll order it hot, and it's the day they decided a dish should be REALLY REALLY hot, and I'll die of a melted esophagus. My wife enjoys the curries, even though I find them bland personally. I've tried many of their menu dishes, and sometimes they're great, other times not so great. I'm not sure if the food quality varies that much, or if they're just fucking with me at this point. Fact is, it's good most of the time, pretty good occasionally , and really good sometimes. Not great but not terrible either. Ordered the vegetable rolls as appetizers and those were fantastic. The issue was with the main course. Ordered panang curry with vegetables and I've tasted better panang curry. This curry had no flavor, it was so bland. We also ordered the basil fried rice which was alright, but then again I've had better. I guess it was really a disappointment because the reviews were great and as soon as we walked in we were welcomed and the ambience was really nice so we had our expectations high. It says $3.75 online but when I got the bill, it was $4.50 which is very expensive. This is based on two experiences one, late, say 9 PM at night with a male waiter that was really just looking to usher us out of the location with or without food, extremely rude and definitely made my position on this place a little confused based on the number of good rates. Food that time was meh as well. The second time we came around mid-day on a Saturday, no one there, we ordered two very basic dishes curry chicken and pad thai with JUST chicken because my wife has a shellfish allergy. Despite the fact that they came out with a dish with shrimp... Which they seem confused about they returned it and fixed the order and i will say that that Pad Thai was what you miss and crave for when you get bad Pad Thai, that is the Pad Thai that make you want Pad Thai, the sweet brown sauce that covers the noodles, chicken and the bean sprouts and just entices you. Draft beer prices are a little high for their low end beers. Food was great, just make sure you go at a good time and make sure you are clear on your order or you may need to run to the hospital if you aren't paying attention. read more

Our meals were good but very disappointed in the Pad Thai dish that might - flavorful but sauce was very running and they used some thin noodles --not traditional pad tai noodles. We arrived two hours before closing and the restaurant was 1/3 full. Felt very rushed to eat and get out. They even started cleaning the floors while patrons were still eating!!!! Restruants should wait until they close before washing floors. Who wants to see and smell that while eating! It felt like they all wanted to close and get home. Drunken chicken has a lot of fresh green beans, red peppers and onions. My husband enjoys the BBQ Pork. It is a large portion which he enjoys with the basil fried rice. We also enjoy the fresh rolls and you can get them vegetarian as well as with shrimp. I have never dined in so I can only speak to the take out which is made fresh and ready on time. I didn't expect to find this hidden gem in Merrimack, NH. But the dishes are delicious. The Sweet Ginger Clay Pot is a must have if you like fish. Crispy tilapia stewed with vegetables and savory sauce, yummy. The Seafood Madness has a nice kick to the flavor. Even the Siem Fried Rice is much better than the typical FR. My son and I tried this place last night. Mainly because we were in the area, had some time to kill, and saw the great reviews on yelp. We were also in the mood for some good Thai food. The restaurant is very small, and we were seated next to a very loud talking Couple. You will not be able to dine in this place with any kind of elbow room because the place is so small and they seat each party really close together. You couldn't have a private conversation here if you wanted to. First the waitress came over and poured water into our cups on the table from a pitcher. The water was lukewarm, no ice, and had a funny taste to it. I ordered the drunken noodles and found it to be only OK, it was heavy on onions and peppers and had exactly 3 shrimp in it. I was very unimpressed. My son ordered a squid dinner of some sort. I'm not exactly sure what it was called. But he loves squid, but he did not care for this meal. He said it was chewy, and floating in a puddle of hot sauce. Didn't seem to have any vegetables besides onions in it, just squid, Onions, and floating in hot sauce. I was so happy when they opened a Thai restaurant in Merrimack. It's a very comfortable, modern, clean place to have a meal. Loved the friendly and kind service. I'm so glad I won't have to make a special trip to MA just to get authentic Thai food! First dish I had was their spring rolls. They were good for a little appetizer. Then I had to order my two favorite Thai dishes; Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles. Both entrees were so delicious and affordable that I had to order some for take-out. Their Thai Iced Tea was the perfect drink to go with the meal. I have also had all the curry dishes they have. I wasn't as impressed because it's more watery than other curry dishes I've had in the past. My friends and family don't seem to mind it though. Love love love this place! Definitely one of the best Thai restaurants in NH! The staff is very sweet and helpful. Not to mention they love it when you know anything in Thai. (Thank you = Khob Kuhn Kah (for women) and Khob Khun Kap (for men)) My favorite menu item is the Northeast Combo (a classic Thai staple). It consists of the green papaya and carrot salad, and comes with sticky rice and grilled chicken or pork skewers. This with the Tom Kha soup is fantastic. This is a very solid Thai restaurant in Merrimack, easily accessible from the Everett and Continental Blvd, tucked in a plaza next to the State liquor store. The menu is this place is enormous, featuring tons of dishes with the usual suspects as well as some interesting alternative choices. Gluten Free dishes and spicy dishes are labeled as of such on the menu. There are no cocktails and the interior is pretty spartan, but the open kitchen concept is well executed and the staff is very upbeat and always pleasant. The portions are very generous for the money, and the quality is always strong. I had a Yellow Curry with duck there which was outstanding. The only dish I've tried that I wasn't crazy about was the Clay pot; I thought it was pretty bland, especially for Thai cooking. Overall, a great find, and I've been here many times. read more

I ordered food here the other night and glad I did. The thai sping rolls is a must, you get four for $4.50. The thai wings were good but they put the sauce on the side I rather it be on the wings. The wings were like 6 for $5.50 and they were tasty. the crab rangoon was good and very unique. The filling had a cury taste to it, at $4.50 you should probaly give them a try. The wonton delight was ok, it was minced chicken and shrimp in overally fried wontons for 4.75. The pad thai was excellent, great taste and fair portion of shrimp and chicken for only $8.95.
