The place has heart, but as far as Thai food goes, we found it strange. Service was prompt cheerful and on point. The green papaya salad was strange had different (more) spices than most places. It's a dish I make at home several times a year and order out often. Tim thought it tasted more like kimchi... The shrimp we added were the best part. The Thom Kha was inedible, strangely salty, coconut milk separated and grainy, it tasted as strange as it looked. Thehicken had an odd texture. We sent it back and it was offered to be taken off the bill. It didn't taste like any other Thom kha I've ever eaten. The green curry chicken had good flavor, the veggies were cooked nicely, but the chicken again had an odd texture not sure if there coating it in something like cornstarch before the typical poach? Rice served with it was mushy and really unappealing. The food was expensive for what it was. Around $20 a dish and honestly the food was not something I would order again. Was really hopeful since Ian W (big fan!) was overall positive and it's the closest to Milford/Amherst. Came on a Sunday evening to a largely empty restaurant. Seems like they do more take out with a table by the front door for door dash. Back door was open letting in a cool breeze. Seated quickly. Friendly server. Dining area was clean. Ordered boba teas which were ok, but some of my boba were crumbly as if they hadn't fully softened. Tasted watered down. Started with edamame which was generously salted, and salted again for good measure. Beans were cooked well. Tried the Tom Kha which looked nice but was pretty bland and seemed to be missing some zing, lemongrass? Tom Yum was better but also missing some tartness. Tried the green papaya salad which seemed to have all the elements (don't always see the tiny dried shrimps) but was also generously salted, almost inedible. Tried the Pad Thai which was so-so. Also bland with a gravy like sauce. Good amount of shrimp. No egg? Tried the red curry with chicken, satisfactory. Tried the Thai fried rice, satisfactory. Tried the Kra-Pow. Very salty. Located in the former China Star building on Elm Street (1.3 mi west of Oval), Asian Thai Kitchen is a basic looking Thai restaurant offering sitdown dining, takeout and DoorDash delivery. They serve mostly Thai food and a few other Asian dishes here including noodle dishes, fried rice, curries, soups, salads, stir frys, appetizers, desserts, and Pepsi products in the cooler. The pricing seems fair. They are associated with Asian Thai Kitchen in Concord and Jasmine Thai Kitchen in Springvale, Maine. I stopped by Asian Thai Kitchen in Milford for takeout recently. I ordered the Tofu Pad Thai Combo ($17 plus tax) served with white rice, 2 Thai Crispy Rolls and 2 Veggie Gyozas. The place had a few customers seated and dining in and picking up food. My hot food order was all set to go in 10 minutes. I drove back to the house and the food was still very hot. The Thai Crispy Rolls served with a hot sweet chili dipping sauce were very similar to the Panda Express spring rolls, crispy fried semi thick wrap filled with cabbage & carrot. The small fried veggie gyozas were firm and filled with ground veggies The tofu pad thai had a mix of stir fried soft noodles, firm tofu cubes, egg, bean sprout, scallions, & ground peanut in a sweet Thai sauce. The white rice was soft and cooked just right. Similar to the food I've had at the other Asian Thai Kitchen in Concord, the pad thai noodles in Milford was pretty good and cooked fresh. From humble origins come the most delectable foods! Asian Thai Kitchen moved into the old Milford Fish Market location. Though there is indoor seating, the ambiance is lacking at best. What the restaurant lacks in ambiance it makes up in flavor! Each dish is well balanced and the restaurant happily tweak the spice level to upon request. The duck curry was exceptional. Many restaurants overcook duck. Last night it was moist and tender. The pad Thai is equally delicious (though I'd appreciate more veg included with the dish than as charged add-ons.) My favorite was the Lemongrass Duck entree at the "adventurous" spiciness level. To die for!!! read more

The online ordering system was easy to use. They're offering of vegan options drew us to order from here. Even though I asked that all items be made vegan, one item came with chicken and shrimp. Food is great, all the curries are perfect. Soups are excellent. Ambiance, well there is none. But the owners are super friendly and attentive and the 6-seat bar is never full. Maybe we just came at a bad time (mid-afternoon on a recent Friday after an appointment in town) but I can't understand all the reviews saying how good the food is. Service was excellent but the food definitely was not. My husband ordered pad Thai and the noodles were like rubber. He fished out the other ingredients, ate them and left all the noodles. Conversely, the noodles in my pad sa-eaw were very gummy, almost slimy, and seemed like they had been cooked some time ago and reheated. We eat out quite often in a variety of different types of restaurants and I can honestly say that this was the worst meal we've had in a long time. Hopefully other diners' experiences will be better but we won't be going back. read more

We came in late to pick up something to go, and were seated down by a friendly server. The inside looks very nice and clean, and the person who served us made sure we had water to drink, and convinced me to order the pad thai, I got chicken.
