Happy to have found a legit acai bowl /smoothie bar in the South Maui area. Staying in Wailea, we did not have any luck with acai bowls until we found Sweet Hula! I ordered the Jaws bowl and the Hawaiian Blend smoothie. The Jaws was refreshing, although I do think the granola could use some improvements to make this even a richer bowl! Granola had a little bit too much puff for me, and a more roasted, stickier, and nuttier granola might do the trick for me. My ideal acai bowl also would have chia seeds and coconut oil as toppings. :) The Hawaiian Blend smoothie was just OK, but I'd try something different next time! The woman taking our order was super sweet and welcoming! Order takes a bit of time to come out but at least you know they're making it to order. Noted in another review from a different food truck in the South Maui Garden food truck pod, this truck is in a seemingly newer pod that we had not come across during our previous visits to Maui, so consider it a gem for now! But the pod has just about everything you could need during a food truck haul -- it is plentiful with partially shaded picnic tables, portable bathrooms, and even an outdoor sink with hand soap and paper towels. read more

Do not skip this place! Located in a food truck circle, the best acai bowl I've probably had in my life. We ordered the HONOLUA ACAI BOWL. 10/10. The almond butter, the bee pollen, the layered granola, everything was so well thought out. The acai was creamy and wasn't too sweet which was preferable against all the yummy fresh fruit. Sweet Hula is a recently opened food truck located inside South Maui Garden. I got the "Jaws" acai bowl (large) for $15 which was very tasty and big enough to share. It had organic acai topped with granola, mango, strawberry, coconut flakes, and honey. The granola and coconut flakes added a nice texture and crunch and the fruit was sweet and fresh. It took them about 10 minutes to make the bowls, but that wasn't a problem since you can walk around and check out the other nearby food trucks or garden area. Their Acai Bowls are a nice refreshing and healthy treat for a hot day in Maui. Acai bowls originated from Brazil and the owner is from Brazil, so it seems pretty authentic to me! The owner was very friendly as well. In addition to acai bowls, they also have superfood bowls, smoothies, and some Brazilian bites. I didn't get a chance to try to Matcha or Blue Majik bowl, but you can ask them for a sample before deciding on what to buy. read more

The best açaí on the island...hands down! Every time I visit Maui, this is my go-to stop. The açaí bowls are always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly crafted. The staff is super friendly, adding to the overall great vibe of the place. I also really love the location, it's just a fantastic spot to enjoy a bowl. The only downside is that they're not open in the evening, which is a bit of a bummer. But other than that, I can't recommend it enough! read more

I got their most basic açaí bowl - the Maui No Ka Oi: with honey, banana, granola. The açaí was refreshing on a hot day, but next time, I would probably do a custom bowl since it was a bit sweet for me with the honey on the açaí. They have other interesting options like a matcha bowl and also lots of smoothies. I wanted some Brazilian cheese bites, but they were sold out, but it's nice that they have some savory bite options, too. Everything is made to order, and staff are friendly. read more
