A food truck in South Maui Garden. They serve acai bowls and smoothies. We got Rio smoothies (acai, banana, strawberries) and it was delicious! My little one drank the whole thing and didn't want to share!

Stopped by the Sweet Hula food truck in Kihei (located in the South Maui Gardens) and ordered a medium with Honolua and Hana açaí bowls. Both were absolutely delicious--fresh fruit and great texture and perfect portions. What I appreciated: they gave me a carry-away box so I could take it to the beach to enjoy. Super accommodating and exactly what you want when you're planning a beach day. Highly recommend if you're in South Maui!

Hands down the best place to get Açaí bowls in Kihei. Do not go anywhere else. Friendly service and set inside a nursery so there are lots of plants around that makes for a nice setting. 10/10 would recommend.

Medium Jaws plus papaya and cacao nibs

The store front is absolutely adorable and the line gets long quick. I sat down with my family at one of the many tables in the little food truck nook. Lots of chickens roaming about the area. I ordered a medium size Jaws with the açai base, and it came with granola, strawberry, mango, toasted coconut flakes, and honey. I added to it papaya and cacao nibs. This was the perfect way to start my day. The bowl is almost ice cold, the fruits are fresh and juicy, the honey added a sweet almost savory aspect to it a the cacao nibs were the perfect semi-sweet addition. Overall the bowl is a 5/5. I can't wait to go back and try another one.

Food: 4.5 - Had the Jaws Small bowl - didn't like the mango in it - to mushy, but was delicious Had the Green Haiku matcha shake - Delicious ! Service : 5 Ambiance : 10 ( it's Hawaii ) Cute area with all the food trucks, nicely laid out and plants everywhere. We will definitely be back

Sweet Hula is a food truck located in South Maui Market. We ordered two açaí bowls and they are delicious. So refreshing on a hot day. We went to Sweet Hula for breakfast want something lite and cool on this hot day. Service was kind and quick. I actually also dropped my bowl and lost my strawberries. I explained to the server what happened and she replaced my strawberries at no additional cost. I thought that was pretty awesome. I would definitely return on my next visit. (I created a collection of all the restaurants we visited on Maui from fine dining to food trucks and all in between.)

Pretty good but don't expect spectacular!! I love getting acai bowls and unfortunately the acai flavor wasn't shining through. It was mixed with fruit juice which masked the flavor. The overall ingredient quality of the fruit and service was five stars. I care about organic ingredients so I love that they provide this quality to their customers. This food truck is located in the Maui Gardens- easy to find a table to sit at or go for a walk in the nearby neighborhood.

    Matcha bowl with almond butter

SERVICE - located in kihei food oasis - parking available on street or in nearby lots - plenty of coveted seating at benches shared between other trucks - friendly staff who explain menu well and work fast to make bowls - good for a casual brunch or snack MENU - smoothie bowls - vegan/vegetarian friendly - average price ($15 per bowl) FOOD - matcha bowl (8/10): matcha coconut base topped with mango, blueberry, coconut, and granola. I added almond butter as well. I liked this base better than the blue majik. The base itself is sweetened so the bitterness of the matcha cuts through the sweetness of both the sugar and the coconut. I also liked the combination of the tart blueberries and just ripe mango as fruits. I think the almond butter should be a default addition as it adds a needed element of creaminess and nuttiness. - blue majik bowl (7/10): coconut and pineapple cream with spirulina topped with strawberry, blueberry, pineapple, and coconut. This was sweeter than the other one despite the acidity from the pineapple. It is aesthetically appealing because of the bright blue hue but flavorwise could have used more pineapple. WOULD I GO BACK? Yes! The food truck area was fun and the bowls were decent

Medium bowl with blue majik spirulina as the base, topped with granola, strawberries, mango, pineapple, and cacao nibs

I went to this place on a Monday afternoon, and it wasn't busy at all, so I was able to walk right up to the window to place my order. I ordered a medium bowl with blue majik spirulina as the base, topped with granola, strawberries, mango, pineapple, and cacao nibs. There were plenty of seating and open picnic tables to wait at. My order came out very quickly, about four minutes after ordering. The bowl was delicious. The fruit tasted very fresh and flavorful, and everything came together with the perfect balance of sweetness. Overall, a great experience and a refreshing, satisfying bowl.

I really like this place. This was my first time trying Sweet Hula. The acai bowl was really yummy. It tasted really good. This was a great snack. I would highly recommend this place. It's a must try.

I'm hooked. Best acai bowl I've had on island. I've been loyal to the Honolua Bowl so far- so delicious!

My husband and I thought we ordered a reasonable amount of food and quickly realized we may have gotten a little too ambitious. The staff was friendly, service moved quickly despite how busy it was, and the atmosphere felt very local and welcoming. There are a lot of breakfast spots on Maui, but I can see why this place is always recommended. If you're visiting, it's definitely worth stopping by at least once. The vanilla latte was really good, and I really enjoyed the chicken and waffles too. The breakfast platter was also solid. Overall, simple, comforting breakfast food. The ordering system was a little weird and chaotic, though. You have to wait in line to order before finding a seat, but then also wait by the counter for your drinks. The space is pretty tight, and with families and tourists coming in, there were easily 20 people packed into the small area when we went. It felt really crowded and chaotic, and it was hard to know where to stand or wait. I also thought it was a little pricey considering how casual and chill the spot is and the amount of food you get. The food was good, but I expected either larger portions or slightly lower prices.

I was already doing the math and thinking , "Eh, we might be here awhile." But nah, good timing. People were finishing up, bussing tables, and bam, maybe 20-30 minutes tops. Not bad at all. While we was waiting, they come out with waffle samples for everyone in line. I mean... who does that? That's how you keep people from getting all hangry. Instant good vibes, the whole line outside was just smiling and waiting patiently. Finally get seated and both the hostess and waitress were super nice--real friendly, no rush, no attitude. In the front they had mushroom soup on the specials board, so we figured we go sample um. I had them bring a cup of soup out to start along with my wife's coffee. Gotta be honest--when I dipped my spoon in, I was already judging. Looked kinda thin, not creamy like other mushroom soups I've had. I was thinking, "Ahh here we go." Took one spoonful and immediately had to humble myself. That soup was money. Like, stop-talking-and-just-eat. My wife tried it and confirmed that this soup was "winnahs" . Deep mushroom flavor with the right amount of seasoning. It also came with a little piece of focaccia toast which I would have really enjoyed but had to take my wife's word for it since she ate um all . Should've ordered the bowl. Rookie mistake. For my main, I went with the original eggs Benedict. Portions were a little on the small side, but with the roasted potatoes, I was good. Didn't leave hungry, didn't need to loosen the belt--perfect middle ground. My wife got the strawberry waffles and yeah... those were legit. She's not a syrup person, so she asked for more whipped cream. The waitress comes back with a little mountain of whipped cream in the little silver ramekin. All in all, solid spot. Friendly people, ono food, and little touches that make you feel taken care of. We will be heading to Cafe Kaila again to try some other stuff like the "chicken and waffles", and next time, I'm not playing around with the soup. Bowl, Garans.

On one side they have the ordering area with a beverage cooler, a display case, and hats for sale with their logo. The other side has seating and can probably fit around 30 to 40 people. For lunch on this day I went with the chicken pesto panini while my father went with a hot dog with mustard and sauerkraut. The menu described my sandwich as chicken breast, sun dried tomato, toasted pine nuts, provolone, and pesto spread, and my father's simply as sauerkraut and mustard. It was busy when we were there, so it took about 10 minutes to order and another 15 minutes for the food to come out. Since we ordered separately, my food came out first and even though I planned to wait, I had enough time to eat it while waiting for my dad's. The chicken pesto panini ended up being quite good. The chicken was moist and flavorful and there was more than enough cheese. The sun dried tomatoes added a nice pop of flavor, although I wish there had been more. My favorite part was the pesto spread and pine nuts, especially the garlicky flavor from the pesto. My dad also thought his hot dog was good. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I enjoyed my sandwich and my dad enjoyed his hot dog, so I would be interested in trying more of the menu.

We were spoiled with such a wonderful and memorable experience and would make the hour drive from Kaanapali to Wailea many times to dine here. Firstly, the restaurant is open, airy, clean, and casual with an elevated dining experience serving the most amazing food. There's a beautiful ocean view from the restaurant that sets up the relaxing atmosphere, sunset included. Secondly, the service was incredible. Abby was poised, polite, kind, and just wonderful all around. Very attentive and knowledgeable. Thirdly, Chefs Chris and Tarah treated us to many delicious plates. The caviar starter was unique and remarkable. The ahi crudo and ceviche were fresh and vibrate, as well as the green salad and fried green tomatoes with burrata. I had the best smash burger of my life. My father-in-law agreed and loved his. My husband said he loved his chicken entree, cooked perfectly, flavorful. His new favorite chicken dish anywhere. Mother-in-law raved about her fish, soft and perfectly cooked. This is a can't miss place. The place is inviting and warm. Chris and Tarah were a joy to be around. Do yourself a favor and dine here.

My husband had the same hash with grilled ahi (very salty) . They tell you the egg on the hash is a runny sous vide- I think she said. I thought it would be ok, like ramen, ....Runny was right, the white of the egg was more translucent than opaque. Specify more cooked egg if this raw thing is not for you. Service was with a smile, but we were half finished with our breakfast before the Bloody Marys showed up. Patio is nice and airy with some view across the blue course and toward Molokini. In the treetops. So why a rate of 3? It's the details- the server commented on delayed drinks very dismissively, and their outdoor speaker was on too loud to the point it reverberated with some static, definitely blown out. I asked to please turn it down or off as it was not adding to the experience. Got a very strange look and maybe it was turned down a fraction about 10 minutes later. Traffic noise was significant but we were sitting outside next to the road. Expected. But to compete with the music and traffic was not our cup of tea. This breakfast as described was $95. You decide.

I was debating if we should check out and try the breakfast buffet or take a walk to the shops at Wailea, nearby for breakfast & the final decision: decided to do the buffet instead and more convenient since we had slept and woke up just in time before breakfast ends. AC Kitchen hours for breakfast are Mon-Fri. 6:30-10am , Sat-Sun 7:00-11:00 am Pay first with cashier, you will get a table number to order items from the kitchen. The self serve items: parfait, cereal, charcuterie, fresh fruits, croissants, waffles, granola, juice and coffee is nicely set up. Items from the Kitchen, which you order from staff : avocado toast, classic oatmeal, open face toast, belgium waffle, gourmet egg tarts, croissant sandwich, & loco moco. The made to order items from the kitchen are super good and tasty, my favorites are the croissant sandwich, avocado toast and open face toast. Having eggs was such a nice treat due to the egg shortage. I loved the croissant sandwich, it was prepared to perfection. My hubby enjoyed his loco moco. Since it was all you can eat, we were full after our first order, took a little break and ordered again, but hmm... how many can one eat?! It was a great selection of breakfast items. I missed out on ordering the belgium waffles, ( next time) Overall, so convenient, great service, great food, lovely experience. I would go for the buffet again next time I visit.

What looks like a lobby coffee shop is actually a tiny buffet restaurant located in the AC hotel by…read moreMarriott. We've eaten here a few times and I got to try everything, so I think I have a good take on the place. My initial quest was to try every buffet in Maui island, specifically to find a made-to-order buffet here in Maui (post-transplant patients have to stay away from buffets due to cross contamination, germs, etc). I've eaten here pre and post op and it's good, decent! It's not comprehensive, as it's a small, tiny buffet, but for what it offers, I like it. From a year or two ago, it was $22, then late last year it jumped to $25, and when we went today (6/2023) it is now $30. Still cheap considering you can easily spend that, for 2 people (especially at a hotel buffet). You check in with the person at the podium adjacent to the buffet nook to pay first and put in your initial order. The menu of the made-to-order items are on an upright menu and consist of: loco moco, avocado toast, egg tarts (leek, spinach and cheese, and Swiss), egg scramble on toast, oatmeal, Belgian waffles, etc). You can also order lattes and cappuccinos here, but they're trash because they come from one of those kureig things. Very watery. In the actual DIY area of the buffet they have: charcuterie board, hard boiled eggs, toast, bagels, muffins, croissants, fresh cut fruit like blueberries, melons and strawberries, cereals like cheerios and granola, cartons of milk, carafes of juice like OJ, apple, pineapple, water and iced coffee. A breakfast yogurt with chia seeds, and oatmeal toppings like brown sugar, dried cranberries, etc. All your condiments like ketchup, Tobasco, sugar, and utensils are in the buffet area as well. I deducted a star because seating is weird and kind of sparse, and the coffee is bad. Again, their selection is smaller than conventional buffets, especially for hotels, but I've always left content and happy. If you like having many options to try for a meal that buffets offer but in a made-to-order format, come here. Along with the always friendly hostess/server, I'll come back.
