5 stars just isn't enough when it comes to Rupa. I started going to get a brazilian from her a while back. I have tried wax in the past and after visiting with Rupa, can't imagine a reason I'd ever go elsewhere. Sugaring was originally a way for me to try something different. With waxing I would end up with ingrown hairs, be sore for a while after, etc. With Sugaring ingrowns are rare. Also, the intensity of the hair removal is nominal at best. This is where Rupa shines. The conversation is always interesting, but she excels at the hair removal. As I stated prior, the intensity is nominal and I believe this is truly due to her. Since I've been going to her, others have commented on how soft and clean the area is. Friends immediately asked me for her info. If you are debating trying this for the first time, or are looking for a gift for a person I promise disappointment will never cross anybody's mind. My next appointment is next week, and I'm already looking forward to it. What it boils down to is if you've ever spent a half a heartbeat thinking about trying this....get sugared, and more importantly get sugared by the best. Make a reservation with Rupa. TLDR: Fast, friendly, and professional way to get rid of annoying hair. It's also keto friendly. Wish I could convince her to do my head, but apparently it's not a good idea though. My friend Rupa just started her sugaring hair removal business. I've heard about this sugaring for some time, seen the jars, even literally tasted the stuff, but never actually had it done. I haven't ever had hair removal either. Being one of those guys that can't get hair in the right spots, I figured I'd try getting my gorilla back sugared. I need orangutan arms to shave it myself, so I usually end up missing a bunch of spots. Right now she's at Winq off Comm Ave. It's very pink in there. Her room was tidy and man friendly. We settled to remove my back hair, she put a jar of the sweet stuff into a microwave, and away my hair went. I'd be lying to say there wasn't any pain. It was really Rupa suffering from my jokes, not me from her service. Really though, we had fun. My back was really smooth when done and I don't see any left over hair. It's still taking some getting used to, I like it though. I'd get my chest done as well. I had my first appointment at Sweet Nothing Spa today and I'm so glad, Rupa is a gem. Her technique is super gentle, I have been getting sugared for a while now and I can honestly say this was the best experience I've had so far. She's very thorough, gets all the hair and doesn't miss any spots. I started sugaring with Rupa about 6 months ago. She does a great job! I decided to try Sugaring because I had tried waxing once and had a terrible experience--I had welts where the skin came off along with the hair. I had heard that Sugaring was a gentler process because a) the sugar paste sticks only to the hair, and b) it's an organic product made from natural ingredients (you can actually eat it!) The skin around the hair follicles was slightly red after my first Sugaring, but any irritation was gone by the next day. When the hair started to grow back, it was much sparser and finer. Once I found out about sugaring, I have continued to stay with it. I used to be a Sugaring Boston customer, but I felt I wasn't valued enough as a customer by them. Rupa is hands down the best. I started going to Rupa in January for Brazilians and haven't looked back. She does a great job. She's thorough, super nice, and puts up with my incessant complaining. I used to do traditional waxing and shaving, but my skin would always get so irritated. After switching to sugaring with Rupa, I have fewer in grown hairs and my skin doesn't get anywhere near as irritated. She is ah-mazing. I have been going to Rupa for a year now and I have seen a drastic difference with her waxing. Beforehand, I went to the European Wax Center but it was always rush or sloppy; but Rupa takes her time and she does great!
