I've been a customer at Young's General Store in Catskill ever since they opened. To the best of…read moremy recollection I've never had anything close to a negative experience in that store....in any way shape or form. Helpful, friendly, cooperative and most of all eager to please. It's so worth it to shop at Young's General Store than any big box store......by a country mile in fact. They're well stocked and if by chance they are low or out of something they can get it very quickly from their other store or at worst tell me when it's arriving from their supplier. I'm very happy that a store and employees like this still exist. Thank You Young's General Store for just being you!!

She would freeze from fear if our other dog of the same breed (Papillon) was taken out of her line of sight. They are the smartest toy breed and London understood how to be Maddie's support dog, staying with her if allowed. But when the manager changed, the salon began to promise to keep them together and then as soon as I left would bathe one at a time even though the had two groomers just waiting on the bather. They may be better now. I don't know. I stopped bringing my long haired dogs there when they cut my dog London multiple times. Then they both passed at 14. Now we go to Amy's. It's a lot better if your dogs have any issues as it's a single client at a time. Petsmart may have advantages now though, I don't know.

When the theater concession payment terminal wouldn't work, this wonderful business volunteered to pay for everyone's concessions, popcorn, drinks, candy, Etc. Paperwork was not given prior to appointment and important questions were not asked at all. I had a feeling in my gut to hang around for my pups first grooming experience here and I'm glad I did. Watched the camera feed to see my dog in the back room just hanging around for 15 mins before they attempted to put him on the table. He didn't react well to being in a new unfamiliar place with strangers who barely acknowledged him. Both groomers were busy with other dogs so I'm confused as to why they took my pup back if they didn't have the time or attention for him. I was happy to walk out of here before they even got to grooming my pup. I'll make sure to do more research to find a groomer that can handle anxious pups. The owner of this establishment is extremely rude and should rethink their approach to handling customers. I'm not sure how this business has lasted with such poor customer service. We had to figure out how to put stakes with visible colors (to the snowplowing company) into our 1/2 mile gravel driveway with rocky, difficult edges. Gary found the 130 stakes we needed but better yet he came up with a plan for how we could get the thin, plastic stakes into the rocky ground without them breaking. He found the perfect mallet and a very thin, unbreakable metal skewer that we could pound in to make a hole and then put the fragile dayglow stakes into. Anyway, the point is that Gary was thoughtful, patient, kind and creative and solved our problem! Ask for Gary and you will be fine,

The last three times I've gone in for my sr. horse feed and beet pulp for my old guy, I've had a bad experience each time. What I usually get is in the back somewhere, or in a different location., and they simply tell me they don't have it. .then I find it. I Can't navigate through the aisles, and the place is a total mess!!! What happened? I since head to Agway now for all my horse and gardening needs.
