Sweets Bar & Grill is always a great spot. The staff is friendly, attentive, and makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in. The pizza was fresh, flavorful, and honestly had one of the best hand-tossed crusts I've ever had. The garlic parmesan crust seasoning was incredible and added so much flavor. Their ranch is top notch too. My friends loved their burger and tots, and the fried pickles were excellent. The place is clean, the atmosphere is fun, and it has that small-town friendly feel that makes it easy to relax and enjoy yourself. Suites Bar & Grill was just what we needed after a long days drive. The server was nice & the small town vibe was definitely instilled in the walls. Luckily we arrived when they still had the full menu available. The cheese bread was delicious- I totally need another before I head home. Stopped in for dinner tonight. Our first time here and we're surprised how nice it was inside. Pool table, free pac man machine, tv's on every wall with sports. We had a cheese burger, a hamber, and a club sandwich. It took a while to get our food and service for refills on beverages was lacking. It was fairly busy on this Saturday eve. The food was good including to fresh cut french fries and onion rings. Service was 2 stars but the food was 4. Will probably come back and hopefully the service was just a fluke. read more

I rate this a 4 to 4.5 based on food. The pickle fries are crunchy because they are thinner, and the ranch dressing tastes house made and is delish. Flavorful, but I prefer a thicker pickle slice. My husband raved about the freshness of the pizza and he isn't wrong, but this olive burger with the cheese pimento spread and Parmesan garlic fries steals the show for me. Definitely worth the wait. We came in during the Euchre night which was most likely a longer wait for food than usual. Our large family went here for the first time after receiving a gift certificate. We took our daughter for her birthday. We had such a great experience! It is really hard to walk into restaurants and feel like our big group is a burden... we never felt that here! Granted we were one of two tables on a Tuesday night at 5:30 pm. Jen greeted us well and was super patient with us. Our food was prompt and delicious (although we never did get the drinks that were supposed to come with the kids meals). The chicken quesadillas, chef's salad, meaty pie pizza, club, and kids meals were all equally enjoyed. Flavors were great! Then music bingo started and I was in HEAVEN! Free bingo cards, daubers, a fun rowdy crowd- and everyone sang our daughter happy birthday! The first winner of Bingo was one of the owners and she shared her earnings with everyone there!! We love this place! Every time we are in the area we make it a point to visit here... usually on our way back from a day at the lake. They have great pizza! Of course, one small downfall is that it is a bar and it really messed up our experience the last time we came in because a table full of drunk teenagers at the next table over were being loud, obnoxious, and swearing a lot in front of my four year old. Nobody made any attempts to cut them off or anything, and I'm not really sure they were old enough to be drinking in that establishment in the first place. They were 21 "at best." Mildly annoying, but it comes with the territory of family dining in a bar. The food and service were still great! read more

It's so hard to rate a place without eating here and I definitely plan to return to try their food. They have daily specials that look really reasonable. We had our customary cocktails, well whiskey and soda, for my husband, and well vodka and soda with a splash of grapefruit juice for me, both in pint glasses. The grapefruit juice is always hit or miss. Many places don't have it, but they did. This is a true Up North bar. In mid-May it was a local favorite. I fear that's not the case in the summer. It was dark and simple. They have a pool table. Best of all our cocktails were dandy and set us back $3.50 each. The bartender was friendly and attentive. It is so loud due to acoustics that you have to scream to be heard over all the other people talking. We asked to be moved outside and they would not let us. This is where all the townies go to let loose. We stopped by on a Saturday night after skiing, hoping to catch a quick meal before all the sidewalks in town rolled up. I felt overdressed wearing a basic black sweater and necklace. My hair looked crazy from my ski helmet and I had no makeup on. And yet I managed to get hit on by a local: "My friend says you look like trouble." Uh, no thanks. I did like that they had one tap devoted to a Sam Adam's seasonal and one for a Petoskey beer and offered pitchers of beer at a decent price. Our service was great. They have a large menu, with sandwiches, burgers, pizza, and entrees. We saw a few pies and plates of cheese bread come out from the kitchen and they looked pretty darn good. I opted for the fried perch, my husband got the ribeye special, and we split our dinners with each other. I liked my perch but found his ribeye to be the toughest, fattiest steak I've ever had. It was cooked to medium as ordered, I'll give them that, but I should have lowered my expectations once the server brought the bottle of A-1 out before our meals. Pretty poor service. Every time I come in here, the bar tender finds it more important to service the three people at the bar than the many other people at the tables. Majority of the time, they run out of their 50¢ wings on Sunday before 3pm. The food here is great, and it's a reasonably stocked bar. The service really drags this place down. It took us 30 minutes one day to get our check. This is the norm here, and I can say, I won't be back for a while. I shouldn't have to remind a bar tender I want my tab 5 times before I get it. read more

You wouldn't think to much from walking up and then heading inside to see that its kind off dark but then you look around and their usually isn't a place to sit in the summer.
