Mandy is hands down the best colorist I've met. She was referred to me from my roommates color that's really well done n finally got to experience getting my color with her. She reached out to me and had to me send inspo photos and had a very thorough consultation with me which never happened with other stylist. I love that she doesn't double book which my other girl was always doing and leave bleach on my hair way too long. She checked on my hair the whole process and told me step by step everything she was doing. The outcome was more than I could of ever imagined and I finally feel heard. I chose this Salon because of the good ratings it had on Yelp. I have fine hair with out-grown baby lights that needed a cut and color. The women that helped me was Lauren or "Lo". A couple of hours before my appointment I sent her pictures of the color and style I wanted. Which she agreed she could do. I was seated and left WAITING while she finished a mens hair cut right next to me while leaving my hair to PROCESS. I got there at 5:30pm and left at 8:00pm!! Only to go home looking like I had old WASHED OUT pink hair that hadn't seen a salon in months. How is that even possible?!?! She kept reassuring me that it would "WASH OUT". I get home and text her that I'm unhappy with the color and she offered to fix it the following day. We agreed on 3:00pm that night. I was able to to leave work early and txted her during salon hours if she would be able to take me earlier. After an hour of no response, I went home 25-30 min away and decided to get my hair colored by someone else closer to home. I texted her about me not needing to get my hair done and SHE GOES OFF ON ME. At this point I want my money back for this TERRIBLE experience and HORRIBLE customer service. I cannot believe I didn't leave a review for this back when i went here in October for a really challenging hair makeover! But the stylists who worked on my hair deserve the credit in the form of a positive review. It was Christina (CC) and I believe Luke (it's been a few months so I'm not positive!) who took my hair from magenta to blonde. My new job was requiring a hair color change to something "natural", so there was a little bit of pressure and definitely a bit of a mood from me about the work situation. They worked tirelessly with my very stubborn hair, literally all day (6 hours in the chair), until it was a perfect, beautiful blonde. It would be a five star review but for the price. It was outrageously expensive, but I do understand the cost considering it took up the better part of the day for two stylists. Two stylists! Went for a walk-in haircut today & was not disappointed! I'm new to the area so I was a little nervous to go into a new salon, but Chuck just became my go-to guy! He greeted me immediately when I walked in & we got down to business. I was excited to go in to chop off quite a bit of hair & he made it a fun experience from start to finish. He encouraged me to take off a little more after the initial cut since I told him I was looking for a drastic change & I'm glad he did! I came here for the first time when I recently moved to OB 1.5 years ago and needed a blowout for my graduation party. I've been coming since. Luke is a miracle worker. He gave my natural curls a stunning balayage and gives me a moisturizing treatment each time. His cuts and styles are awesome too. Luke and the rest of the Sweet Salon staff go above and beyond and are very fair with proving. Their hours are super reasonable too. I don't want to give 1 star review since the hairstylist is really nice person - however I came for an all over coloring and haircut.. I couldn't even notice any difference.. my hair got darker and lighter here and there. I messaged her and asked if she could fix it.. she explained it to me and said I had different hair dye on my hair etc etc. she asked me to go in again two days later. She bleached my hair and said it would fix the problem.. due to the lighting at the salon I couldn't really see it but when I went home and took a picture - omfg. Did I just spend $275 + 25% tips for this??? I don't even bother to message her to tell her to fix my hair... I'm not going to waste any dollar to "fix" when she can't fix this mess. When I lived in San Diego, this was my salon and Steven was my guy! He can do NO WRONG! He always gets my cut (and color) exactly right and makes me feel like a million bucks! No less than four Ocean Beach barbers were closed before 4 P.M. on July 3rd of 2021 (I hoofed it to Good Vibes, Ocean Clipps, O.B. Barbershop, and The Cliffs first) when I walked past Sweet Salon thinking perhaps this was as pointless a quest as trying to find a supermarket open on a Saturday in the Netherlands and wondering why no one wanted my money. Eric, owner, colorist, stylist and genius is the sweetest most understanding stylist i have ever been to. he gave me a cut i had only dreamt of. perhaps most important for us curly headed people who suffer mushroom silhouette he has a secret way of cutting that made complete sense. I avoid getting my hair cut because I am picky but low maintenance when it comes to doing my hair aaand I normally don't love the result. I part my hair all over the place, so fresh cuts can be pretty obvious. I went to see Lindsay because it had been a year since I had a trim, and my hair needed LOVE. We did a partial balayage and trim, and I am IN LOVE. Sweet Salon is a great little spot in OB and Lindsay is a hair goddess. She turned my messy, sad, dull locks into bright and healthy hair. Today was my second time at Sweet Salon. The first time, Mary Beth cut my hair, but sadly she is no longer there. She was amazing! But today, I was equally as satisfied when Lauren cut my hair! My hair was super long, and I had cut it myself (with my husband's help) while all the salons were shut down. So, it was a disaster. I always have great concerns when someone new cuts my hair, since it has thinned out a lot and it frightens me when they pull it too hard. Lauren was super understanding and compassionate about it. She gave me some recommendations on the type of cut I should get. She cut it, and I LOVE IT!!! She even gave me some great tips on styling and how to avoid breakage for my specific hair type. I came out of the salon feeling so good about myself and my husband loves it too. I highly recommend this salon. If you don't live in OB, just make sure you get to your appointment EARLY because parking CAN be a nightmare, especially on weekends. read more

She gave a me a haircut with just enough edge that even if i dont get blow dried it looks hot.
