I was so happy to find this place during a recent Sunday visit to the Keys farmers market. After wandering around the market and finding nothing I wanted to eat I remembered that when I walked in there was what looked to be a little café Maria the owner was standing at the door, calling people in very welcoming. They sell all kinds of fresh squeezed juices, cacao chocolate bars, little protein bites. These are the premade items. Then behind the small counter, there are five different reps or bowls or salads to choose from. I went with the chickpea wrap and my brother-in-law had the black bean wrap. Both were phenomenal perfectly fresh extremely tasty and large enough that we both had leftovers. Definitely recommend if you're in the keys. read more

If you were looking for açaí do not come here. You will get more of a smoothie than an açaí, it is runny and flavorless compared to other açaí bowls. You can definitely tell with the consistency and the color that it is not really an açaí bowl. In my opinion it was also very overpriced. Customer service was very friendly. read more

I stopped in while passing by with no expectation. I was shocked with how healthy and clean the menu is. I have many food sensitivities and when I found out the entire establishment is gluten and dairy free along with being 100% vegan I was sold. The customer service was amazing as well. I was able to sample a fruit infused water, try gluten free rice, and learn about the benefits of the juices and foods on their menu. I'm going back next week for their juice cleanse!! The food they serve is nothing like the food they post online, the Acai bowl for example was not purple but rather completely different color, and a much worse quality than the one advertised. We understand that the pictures online are not a complete representation of the food that is served but in this case it was simply false advertising. We asked the owner about the Acai bowl and she seemed to lack an understanding of her own food. Our experience wasn't all bad however, we learned that we could get an abundance of baby food by simply ordering any meal from the menu. read more

Was craving an açaí bowl during our little vacation and googled it and this place came up. Looks SO good by the pictures and taste just as good as it looks. I got the green machine bowl and it's delicious. Such a good size portion as well! I'm not sure if it is the owner or not but the guy at the front is so stinking nice. THAT is how you keep customers. I still remember the day I first heard of 'Key Roots'! I was training with Andrea at the FNX 24/7 GYM on the same property as Key Roots. At first I never imagined such a perfect juicebar with so much good energy could exist that close to my home & I had no idea it was even there! I was still pretty new in town so I forgive myself! I did have reservations about trying Key Roots at first; I have very high standards... But before you know it, I couldn't hold back, I may of even went in that very same day to check it out. This was probably about a year ago, & now I stop in to Key Roots often, sometimes even multiple times per day! Vanessa, the owner of Key Roots, which is an all organic & vegan juicebar, makes all of her juices & food options with love! The juice blends are made fresh from scratch using a cold-pressed process, bottled in reusable glass, & are available for 'grab & go' in the refrigerated coolers in the juicebar. Vanessa welcomes customers to reuse the glass bottles or return them for her to sanitize & reuse again. She also offers many other 'grab & go' options that are available at all times such as housemade almond milk which is high in plant protein & ridiculously satisfying!, ginger lemon juice shots, turmeric pineapple juice shots, celery juice, & cold brew coffee. Vanessa is extremely knowledgeable about the benefits of each individual ingredient that she uses in her delicious creations. She also offers cleanses if you are serious about seeing more immediate health results. There is a custom order menu as well. The interior is modest, clean, and sleek, and we opted to sit outside at the picnic tables. I got Berry Nutty, and I loved the almond butter, blueberry, and banana taste. There were plenty of toppings, and the only thing that could use work was the granola. It had a bit of a cereal consistency, but this is probably because it's gluten-free to cater to different diets. The portion was definitely big enough for a hungry, late breakfast like when I had it. Prices are about what you expect, and they have much more than smoothie bowls! Think toasts, grain bowls, etc. I love seeing healthy places like this in the Keys! read more
