We checked online while driving down to Key West. Their website said they were open and accepted an online order ($12.50 for ONE specialty coffee). We arrived 7 minutes later and the doors were locked with cars in the parking lot. Employees starting walking out the back and leaving while I called the business line and finally a man answered and said they closed early because of weather. He was not very friendly. He also said he would refund our money the next day. The next morning I received a call from him that he couldn't refund the order but would mail a check. Ten days later we received a check in the mail for $11.50. I shredded the check and disputed the charge through my credit card company for the full amount. read more

Good, local coffee spot in Marathon. It was convenient to where we were staying so I could avoid the big name spots. I tried the iced Georgie of course. It was so tasty. I didn't get too much peanut butter flavor, it was a strong chocolate flavor that overpowered it seems. The key lime beignet caught my attention. It was more of a key lime filled donut, I wouldn't necessarily call it a beignet but it was tasty. My husband wanted an iced tea, but they couldn't accommodate which was a bit of a bummer but not a huge deal. Definitely a cute little local spot, with good coffee and some pastries and small breakfast bites. It's a good spot to stop in the area to avoid the chain spots. read more

Absolutely outstanding! I had the drip coffee and husband had the iced cappuccino both delicious!! The custard filled donut was so soft and fluffy it was unlike anything I've eaten. It is not custard filled like you would be expecting It does not ooze out when you bite into it, it was delicious. They definitely know how to do pastries!! I rarely write negative reviews but here goes. We were excited to try this adorable coffee shop while on vac'n in the Keys. The lady who took our order was not friendly at all. I was pleasant and asked a couple of questions, she answered but seemed annoyed; however the Barista WAS friendly. The drinks are absurdly overpriced. My small Matcha latte cost $9.14. Note: I did add lavender, which was an extra $1.00. That still puts the drink at over seven dollars for a small, which I think is pretty steep. Coffee was priced around the same. It was an average drink. I prefer the one at Starbucks much better. They have pastries, empanadas, and other breakfast items, but again, everything was marked up--$ 6 for an empanada, which is typically $3-$4 in this area. Just beware...this place costs more than Starbucks. I'm giving it four stars because it's super cute inside, and I don't like trashing small businesses over prices. I can understand if this was part of a resort or at the airport, but there are many other options in the area where you can get good-quality coffee and breakfast for much cheaper. read more

As a pet owner, this was a no brainer to visit while in key west! We stumbled across Georgie's while on our trip in the Keys with our pup, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our stay in Marathon. First off--super pet-friendly, which is always a win in our book. They have treats right in the front for your furry family member! The outdoor seating is perfect if you've got your furry friend with you. There is plenty of shade, great views of the one road ( US-1) , and very palm filled, Keys-style atmosphere that made it easy to just hang out and enjoy. We had the croissants at 11$ , a bit salty for my taste but fresh and flavorful. No added sugar to the croissant I noticed and made with real butter. The coffee was really good as well as the decaf! Service was friendly and laid-back (in a good way), and our server made sure we had everything we needed. Honestly, it's the kind of place you're grateful is open at 6 am in a sea of expensive restaurants that inhabit the area that maximize tourism spending. If you're in Marathon with your pup, Georgie's should absolutely be on your list. Bonus points if you read Georgie's story on the wall and see her friends!!! read more

Super cute coffee shop in Marathon Key! We were staying close by and needed some breakfast and found this spot. We had our doggo with us which matched perfectly with the casual, coffee shop vibe, and the mascot Georgie! The light blue cafe has tons of parking outside and outdoor parking. The ladies working the front were super friendly and we decided on 2 lattes and 2 bacon, egg and cheese croissants. The medium lattes were huge! And same of the sandwiches. If I could leave 0 stars I would, but I can't so here's my 1 star. I got 2 basic drinks, a croissant sandwich, and a custard beignet ( which was false advertisement, I'd call it a "bun") all of the beignets my group ordered were soggy. I've NEVER spent 40 fucking dollars on so little in my life. I will say the coffee was good though! But the croissant was so burnt it was flaking away and the bacon was so undercooked it was white. Make that make sense. The employees were so rude. They messed up my cousins order so I had to go ask for them to fix it and man if looks could kill. 0/10 do not recommend. read more

This small little coffee shop really packs them in with the sweet, the savory, and the caffeine. They offer the standard hot, iced, and frappe style coffee drinks with regular and alternative milk options. The food options available were a variety of pre-made croissants and beignets (more like large donuts). They are known for their bacon,egg, and cheese croissant sandwich , and I think they are kind of prepped ahead as well. My husband said it was ok. I had the spinach and feta croissant which was tasty, but needed a bit more filling. My son had the Nutella Beignet, which he enjoyed. We also tried the Key Lime version, but feel it needed more yummy filling. The drinks were decent, and pretty standard. The prices were moderate, comparable to that other popular coffee chain, and not exactly what I was expecting. Seating is limited, especially if raining, as most of seating is outside. The staff of 2 were friendly and doing their best. It is definitely a good choice for on the go, but not a quick grab, if crowded. I would rate 3.5 if I could, instead of 3, but maybe next time we can give it another try. read more

Headed home from marathon and we needed some coffee so we stopped at Georgie's. The place is very simply decorated, giving modern keys vibes. I asked if I could get two iced latte with white chocolate and cinnamon (I noticed that they had Ghirardelli syrups, so I had to try it) and two chocolate milks for the girls. They prepared it quickly and were very nice. The coffees are really freaking good and the girls really liked their chocolate milk. Cute little coffee shop located in Marathon key. We went twice while staying at hawks cay for our babymoon! They were slammed on the Sunday morning we went, so be mindful weekends are probably more busy. The coffee shop is small and seating is very limited. We had to take our order to go over the weekend cause there was no place to sit. We also stopped in Monday morning before our drive home but we were able to enjoy our coffee and breakfast at Georgies! Staff were friendly and coffee was great. We shared the bacon, egg, and cheese croissant both morning which was absolutely delicious. The serving size was big and the croissant was so flaky and buttery, yum! So we came in to try the fabulous coffee that so many have reviewed here and we weren't disappointed! Coffee is delicious and we had a chocolate almond croissant which was to die for! We then walked out to our car to see that there was a flat tire. Desperately needing an air compressor to fill up our tire in order to get to the nearest tire shop we asked the employee on staff if there was any help that can be given. Try the beignets! You'll get excellent service here but they don't make my style of coffee. The brewed is a dark roast and the latte was iffy - a starbucks style overroasted bean. There were multiple different pastries including beignets with several different fillings. Quite good although mispronounced. I recommend the Key Lime beignet. There aren't many coffee shops in the northern/mid Keys, but Georgie's stood out with excellent service. My latte was rich in flavor! However, the regular coffee was weak and tasted a bit watered down. If you're a fan of lattes, I'd definitely recommend it. The atmosphere is adorable, clean, and they offer outdoor seating for a nice morning coffee experience. The cinnamon bun, which had pecans, was delicious once warmed up. George's Coffee is convenient BUT they discourage anyone from staying there to drink coffee. There are NO refills and their prices are on the high side. I travel 190 days of the year and visit ~150 different coffee shops a year. It is very odd not to offer free refills. I would like to advise the owner here that their cost for coffee is not the coffee itself but the cup, location, payment, and labor. The coffee is a very small part of the Income Statement. In addition they were very late wiping down the tables. I wiped down my own table. read more
