Wonderful little restaurant with great food and ambiance. Started up during Covid and supports local cheesemaking factories. Sandwich was delicious and service was great. They were beyond friendly for our work group touring Wisconsin cheeseland!

The pizza was hot, loaded with toppings and had a fantastic crust and sauce.

I stopped by here with a friend after a day of golf for some food and drinks, and I was blown away by the decor, atmosphere, and food. Here's how this restaurant works: the family that runs the restaurant also operates the farm that the ingredients are grown on. You can't get much more farm-to-table than that, and it shines through in the quality of their offerings. This was, hands down (and it isn't even close), the best pizza I've had at a casual restaurant/bar type establishment. For the price point you simply cannot go wrong. The crust was the perfect combination of crispy and chewy, with a supremely flavorful sauce and plentiful, fresh toppings and plenty of stretchy cheese. The pepperoni were crispy and flavorful - I haven't seen crispy pepperoni like this before but I loved it. I can't be more emphatic - get this pizza if you are nearby and send me a message to thank me later. Aside from the pizza, you'll enjoy the sparkling clean interior, outdoor seating and the large bar with great local and major label drink selection. It sure looks like they went the extra mile to make this a special, family run establishment. It was the perfect place to cap off a fantastic day, and you and your family will love it too.

This is such a clean cool place! So friendly lots of TVs for sports! I'm gluten-free and finding food isn't always easy but the menu has GF buns and cauliflower pizza! So yah!!

Also, our waiter was a (seemingly) high school kid who was waiting tables and prepping food in the back--super impressive but that is a lot for one person to do! The Halloween decor was also on point--very spooky. The pizza was super disappointing. I don't think they put any seasoning on that sucker. When you have the name "pizza" in your restaurant name-sake, I'm expecting a slamming pizza. It was also burned :( The service was also breathtakingly slow, but it is because that one kid is running all over the place doing all the jobs. I also thought it was weird when I asked for a water for dine-in they brought our table bottled water so we could take it to go. We requested just cups of water and they thought we were WILD for not wanting to waste more plastic.

There are several beers on tap as well as in cans, ciders, and soda. I'm not a beer drinker, so I tried a Cherry Von Stihl Cider from the nearby Von Stihl Winery/Cidery/Distillery. I may have found my new cider! Anywho, for a small town like Algoma, this place was hoppin', and it wasn't just locals! There is plenty of seating indoors at the bar or around it. There is a patio right outside, also with ample seating, The outdoors is dog friendly, but I don't know about the indoors (although a giant garage door opens to combine the two, so...) There is a small corner offering up various merch like hats, t-shirts, mugs, etc. 10/10 would recommend a stop for a quick drink if you're in the area or just passing by. We went around lunch and it was PACKED with of course limited indoor seating, crowded parking, people everywhere but honestly the food made it worth squeezing in. The tomato mozzarella salad was SO fresh and delicious, and the pizza absolutely lived up to the hype. We got the goat cheese & spinach pizza with hot honey and wow... whoever decided hot honey belonged on pizza deserves a raise. Sweet, spicy, cheesy perfection. Even my four year old loved a kick on the pizza. Now for the reason this isn't a 5-star review: the service. Our waiter seemed like he'd rather be literally anywhere else on earth. We had to ask multiple times for refills, and the overall vibe felt like we personally ruined his afternoon simply by existing. I totally understand places get busy, especially during tourist season, and we also had a four year old that was starving and was quiet about it with us so we weren't expecting royal treatment, but good service and a friendly attitude really do change the whole experience. The food? 10/10. The atmosphere? Cozy chaos. The waiter? Needed a snack, a nap, or maybe both. Would absolutely come back for the pizza alone. Just hoping next time our server likes people a little more. Solid 4/5.

There was a snow squall going on, but I wanted a glass of wine and I'd be danged if I'd let a snow squall stop me from getting a glass of red. Blessedly, this place was open, and they welcomed me and my friends, even though we were bedraggled and covered with snow. Bad Moravian is full of vintage furniture and artwork everywhere you look. It's one of those places that you would call "a vibe" (although I would never say those words). You could also call it "hipster," although I'd never say that word either. The decor is just very intentional and aware of itself. I got a glass of Lambrusco, which was nice and effervescent, and nice to sip on while I defrosted. My friends got a glass of Beaujolais and a beer, but Bad Moravian has lots of other carefully curated selections of adult beverages. They also have a small selection of pizzas, which you can customize. We didn't stay long enough to eat, just long enough for drinks. But this is a great place to get drinks. It's cozy and fun.
