Stumbled upon this spot with the family on our way back to Milwaukee from Sturgeon Bay. It's so unassuming but it's quite nice! The inside is really spacious, has lovely vaulted wooden ceilings, and a big wrap around bar in the middle. The outside space clearly accommodates small events, as there is lots of law seatings, games, and a mini bar with a stage. Being there on a Sunday, we quickly found out that day is buffet-only, meaning they don't serve off of their regular menu but instead it's one-set price and you can go up to their buffet to have whatever you want (unlimited). It's a good deal indeed but I wouldn't say it was my fave food options. Would look forward to trying their main menu if and when we return one day! read more

This used to be my favorite spot! However, I just went for weekend brunch and it was the worst! The scrambled eggs were not even real eggs, they were the powdered type you get in a bag and add liquid too. Like what you get in a school cafeteria. I stopped by here with a friend after a day of golf for some food and drinks, and I was blown away by the decor, atmosphere, and food. Here's how this restaurant works: the family that runs the restaurant also operates the farm that the ingredients are grown on. You can't get much more farm-to-table than that, and it shines through in the quality of their offerings. This was, hands down (and it isn't even close), the best pizza I've had at a casual restaurant/bar type establishment. For the price point you simply cannot go wrong. The crust was the perfect combination of crispy and chewy, with a supremely flavorful sauce and plentiful, fresh toppings and plenty of stretchy cheese. The pepperoni were crispy and flavorful - I haven't seen crispy pepperoni like this before but I loved it. I can't be more emphatic - get this pizza if you are nearby and send me a message to thank me later. Aside from the pizza, you'll enjoy the sparkling clean interior, outdoor seating and the large bar with great local and major label drink selection. We were staying in a tiny town south of Door County and feeling like there would be nothing to eat for miles. However, I read about Homestead and we hopped in the car to check it out. Farm to table here means really great cheese. We cheesed ourselves into a coma but went away happy. Cheese curds and cheese pizza washed down with local beer meant an instant snooze the moment we got back to the motel. It's in the middle of nowhere, it's clean, modern, totally put together and delicious. The only thing I had hoped for was a wider menu and some more vegetarian options. But, hey, we are in dairyland and cheese is always the answer. read more

Great food and wonderful service. It's become one of our families favorite restaurants because there is something everyone is going to love on the menu. On the rare occasion they make a mistake they promptly fix the issue and make sure you're satisfied. Burgers are fantastic and the Friday Fish Fry is among the best in the area. Typical bar food, nothing special. Pizza is better than average, Friday fish fry is ok, Cod is good, the Whitefish is terrible (I love whitefish, they simply do not know how to make it), perch is ok. For a farm to table restaurant (owned by a local farm with beef and dairy cows) I'd expected top notch steaks but there was none to be found on the menu. I gave them 3 stars instead of two as the employees are great and the building is very nice. read more

New to me this place is simple clean and fresh the clam chowder was the surprise for me being use to the local food it was fresh flavorful just amazing baked cod Philly even to much for a guy with a big appetite the only downside for me was the chili it was just ok "what a bummer " if you've got a bit of a hunger swing by the staff is really friendly read more

The pizza sauce has onion and tomato chunks in it. The top of the pizza is sprinkled with red pepper flakes. We ordered a 16" cheese & sausage and a 16" meat lovers. These ingredients should be noted on the menu so people know before ordering. If people wanted onions they'd order the supreme. Not everyone likes spicy stuff, onions or tomatoes. We ended up throwing our pizzas in the garbage. What a waste of $40+. We will never eat there again! read more

This was a great dining experience from start to finish! We needed a late night dining option, which is hard to come by in Algoma. I called and they confirmed that the kitchen was open late. We still don't do inside restaurants (due to Covid precautions) and Tonya was so kind as to offer that although there were no servers outside that we would be able to order at the bar and sit outside to eat. We walked in and were greeted warmly with a substantial beer tap of local micro and imported draft beers. We were surprised to see that the beef used in burgers was farmed 2 miles down the road! We enjoyed a delicious meal of hyper-locally sourced beef outdoors in a grain bin with a gas fire. They had many lawn games for us to play - giant connect 4, basketball, corn hole, and others. The beer was great, the burgers were fantastic, the set up outside was so cute, and all the staff was so friendly. It was a perfect night! Will definitely return next time our travels bring us here. read more

Excellent!!! Everything about this new cute restaurant is excellent. From the moment you drive up to it, and you can't miss it, until you leave, it is a wonderful dining experience. We had to wait on a table a little while, but found seats at the bar and had drinks. The host couldn't have been more attentive and checked on us until we were seated. The bar staff was also very friendly and gave us a short history of the restaurant. After we were seated a friendly gal took our orders, and we were served our delicious food. I had the nachos, and I think they were the best I've ever had. They were loaded. My husband had the steak sandwich, and he also thought it was great. I then had a piece of cherry pie since I couldn't leave the Door Peninsular without trying their famous cherry pie. It was scrumptious. This place is amazing! I came here with my family while I was visiting home from Texas. We had Emily as our waitress. Both the food and the service was phenomenal!
