My favorite spot on the island besides the actual beach. Inside the store is bright and colorful. Staff is great: quick and patient. Will let you sample as many flavors of ice cream as you want. The ice cream they use is Hershey's. Lots of unique flavors. Portions are a nice size. We come here every time we visit the island. read more

my husband and I have always loved to go to this store for ice cream. We live here year round so it was a nice treat except for the other night. We were refused service because we wouldn't wear a mask. My husband has COPD and can't wear a mask and the governor of this state has given exception to the mandate. Best icecream I've ever had! There are many icecream places around but this is the best by far! I got Outrageous Oatmeal Cookie and it was amazing. Very very delicious! The shop is very cute inside. There are fun decorations everywhere and they also sell candy and a few souvenirs. The prices are very reasonable as well. They have every flavor of icecream you could possibly imagine. It's really beautiful inside the shop. Bigger than it looks on the outside. The abundance of candy makes me very happy. I like the variety of gummy and hard candy as well as the chocolate and ice cream. But let's talk about the fudge okay because the fudge just tastes like a huge piece of chocolate, meaning it's not soft or squishy when you bite into it like fudge is supposed to be like. And honestly the fudge at Golden Corral is better than the fudge here (sorry). read more

I've been here many times on vacations to Emerald Isle. Such a cute little place and the customer service is great. We always stop for ice cream a few times during the vacation week and hang out to eat it on the rocking chairs out front. When you order ice cream they always ask you "Is this enough?" and if you say no, they add more with a smile! That's just one example of the service you get from the friendly employees. They also have a few gifts and some salt water tafffy and other kinds of candy. There really is something for everyone here and did I mention it's so cute? read more

This is a great store! I met the owners when they were opening. They were friendly and seemed very community oriented. We are in Emerald Isle about 90 days a year and have been to the Sweet Spot almost every trip. The staff is as friendly and helpful as the owners! They make you want to come back! The "Sweet Spot" is actually more of a gift-shop than an ice cream and candy store..but that one little idiosyncrasy aside, it is worth a visit for the soft-serve Hershey's Ice Cream. Staff is friendly and professional, and the ice cream is the best brand in the business! read more

I have been to the sweet spot about five times and every time I liked it it was OK but he wasn't my favorite they don't have many flavors to choose from there like every other ice cream parlor that just has one flavor but one of the good things that they have is they have a shop where the ice cream minutes so you can shop while eating ice cream if that matters It's was not that good read more

We have been coming here for 10 yrs, my kids love this place... if they aren't in the mood for ice cream they can get candy. I would give 5 stars but they didn't have the specific candy that my daughter remembered getting last time we were there. In fact, they were missing another candy that my other daughter also wanted. So 0 for 2 on the chocloate candies ( salted caramel truffle and chocolate covered espresso beans) . Otherwise, they have an awesome selection of taffy and ice cream. Service is also fast and friendly. Please keep the chocolate candy stocked up (see above) and I can update with 5 stars. read more

Line moves fairly quickly due to them having a flo's number of employees, whom were also extremely nice and helpful! LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!!! I am so lucky that it is just a few steps from our vacation place. We walk there after dinner and rock in the chairs while snacking on ice cream and JELLY BELLYS!
