I had the hot cinnamon roll, it was so good and the icing so yummy, sweet and gooey. I also had a coconut iced coffee it was good, a little sweet and strong coffee taste which I love. My family also got the Oreo single cake, chocolate single cake, the single one with berries and the icecream sandwich which they all enjoyed. The staff is very nice too. They greet you with a freshly baked cookie, the employees are super friendly and very helpful, the ambiance is welcoming, and the baked goods are to die for! The coconut Bundt cake was so so good! The cookies my mom has she said they just melt in your mouth! My husband ate a slice of the red velvet Bundt cake and he was speechless for a minute, (which is rare!) We got a lot of things which included a dozen cookies, teeny bundt cake, banana pudding, red velvet cake, and a red velvet cinnamon roll & the total came out to around $30, which is a pretty good deal to me! I also purchased small banana pudding and peach cobbler both really good. On the other hand the cakes were dry and were not good. I purchased 4 different flavors and they were all dry. I am always open to "new" as she is my ZAGAT guide, has a culinary (french) background, and has many friends/relatives who are professional chefs. I am from the South and am generally skeptical about baked goods that are touted as "southern" - most are average and many miss. We really really wanted to like this place as the hospitality/service and ambience are very good. However..with all do respect, I'm not sure whose family recipe calls for salty (?) 'sweet' potato pie (I'm still deeply disappointed and mildly traumatized) or somewhat dry red velvet cake that no frosting (very good) could save. I dislike overly sweet desert (especially sweet potato pie) but I would like to taste a better balanced mix of brown sugar, condensed milk, and vanilla - less kosher salt (?) , salted butter (?) mixed with the standard nutmeg, cinnamon, ground clove trinity...(trying to figure why the pie was so salty). Maybe the menu is geared more toward a (pre) diabetic demographic (?) - or its plant based/ vegan which would explain the minimally "sweet" aspect. I understand that recipes vary but I've never tasted a more disappointing piece of pie in recent memory. We couldn't not finish anything really and no other family members wanted it either. Quality went down. Used to come here all the time. The lady at the register told me to download some app called Too Good to Go. She said they have a promo on the app. So I said sure why not. Never doing that again. Deleted the app because the desserts were stale, a little overdone to almost burnt, and tasted more than a few days old. Why tell your customers to download some app and give out day old food. I always buy in person not through some app. That kind of left a bad taste in my mouth. I saw this bakery on an Instagram ad and was intrigued because it was new in my area. Finally got to check it out this past Saturday! It's a cute bake shop in Carson near the 91 freeway entrance. Once you enter, you are greeted with super sweet, helpful staff & a free cookie! They have a great selection of desserts, but be warned, they can sell out! When we dropped by on Saturday afternoon, their dessert fridge was sold out of banana pudding, which is what I wanted to try! We ended up buying a cinnamon roll and a slice of their maple brown butter Bundt cake. Both were sooooo good! Not too overwhelmingly sweet! And they warm the cinnamon roll up for you! Excellent bakery! The young woman greeted me with a cookie and a smile the moment I came in. I decided to order a cinnamon roll which was delicious. Usually the frosting is way too sweet and in some instances can taste artificial. Theirs was perfect. It was light, had a great balanced flavor and the roll itself was moist and satisfying. Alright! I FINALLY was able to try this place out. Sorry, I don't have any pics. I ate it all - which should be a good sign! Honestly. The only reason why I'm giving a 4* and not the full 5* is because I wasn't as impressed by the Pecan pie. The crust was decent but I felt overall it was too sweet and I wasn't as impressed by the texture. But everything else, I would give a 5*. The cookies are BOMB and the banana pudding was AMAZING! I'm a banana pudding snob and I was impressed! Their banana pudding EASILY gives Magnolia Bakery a run for their money!!! I hope that puts how good it is in context. I wish I can give a half star because this place really deserves a 4.5* (a 4.8* if you factor in staff and customer service). The staff was friendly and the service was great. I love that they were knowledgeable on each dessert and was able to tell me what was in it, what's good and what's popular. I enjoyed my time in the store with them.
