Talk about incredible customer service! My husband came in a couple of weeks before me to try their cinnamon rolls and loved it. He got me a banana pudding to go and I really enjoyed that too. Since my daughter's birthday was coming up and they sell bundt cakes, I wanted to support a small business and purchase through them. It was also really close to my house, so it was super convenient. I called a couple days before my pick-up and the person who took my order was really warm and helpful. On the day of the pick up, everyone was very sweet, especially the kind lady that gave us free cookies. She made my daughter feel so special. They did such a beautiful job with the interior. I used to go there when it was DaVinci and they totally brightened the place. Well, my order was not ready and was told that it won't be ready for another 20 mins. I was in a time crunch, so I told them I would be back. They apologized and I said it was fine. When I came back the lady gave us more free cookies and the owner threw in a free sweet potato pie since my order wasn't ready at pick up time. Such a nice gesture and this is what I'm talking about their top-notch customer service. They recognized their mistake and totally made up for it. I got the confetti bundt cake, mini maple brown butter, and red velvet bundt cake, and brookie and cookie platter. Everything was delicious! Our guests raved about the cookies the most. Today was my first time at Sweet Valentine and it did not disappoint! First of all, the space is beautiful and clean, very modern as well. Loved the holiday decor! I was greeted with a complimentary brown butter chocolate chip cookie-delicious!! Got a few cinnamon rolls and an oatmeal white chocolate cranberry cookie for later. Went to try this new bakery in Carson.. and it did not disappoint. We were greeted with a warm welcome and generous hospitality. we got to meet the chef and owner and he offered us a complimentary cookie. He was friendly and engaged us by sharing about his training and background. As far as sweets, There were lots of items to choose from and we got the banana pudding, cinnamon rolls and some more cookies. Everything was great. This bakery is the biznesss!! First off before we even get to the goods, the staff is so nice!! They make you feel like a long lost cousin. Literally the sweetest place ever! Lol literally! They were closing and me and my boyfriend just wanted to walk around while waiting for his family. One of the workers, I didn't catch his name, but he had glasses with the most genuine smile ever! He actually opened the door for us and told us to come in even though they were closing. I found this place by scrolling on IG. I had already found a bakery earlier that week to order my cake from, but when I saw who I believe was the owner, talking about the bakery and all the different cakes and deserts I was in awe. I saw the beautiful white coconut cake and knew I had to have it for my birthday. I went the next day. The staff were amazing, and I was greeted with a smile and a cookie . I bought their banana pudding and brought a slice of the cake I was ordering for my birthday because there was no way I was going to wait to taste this amazing looking cake. I picked my cake up and it was absolutely beautiful. I am still getting calls on how delicious that cake was. Don't judge me, but my plan is to try every slice of every flavor they have . OMG this place is so addicting. Everything is so delicious and generously portioned. I found out about this place a week before their ribbon cutting ceremony so went to check it out. Banana pudding is one of my favorite desserts. I've had banana pudding from Magnolia Bakery, Lucille's, etc and Sweet Valentines was the best of the best. Not only did it have a generous amount of vanilla wafers, but they gave me extra in a bag just in case it wasn't enough. I also bought brown butter Chocolate Chip Cookies, Cobbler, Cinnamon roll. Everything was freshly baked and mouth watering. I've bought Bundt cakes from some other places and they were really good but sweet Valentines was just extra, so much better. Even the amount of frosting piped onto the Bundt is 2x the amount from other places. This is a must if you're in the South Bay right next to the 91 Freeway and Fat Burger. The other thing is the employees are all so helpful and sweet and smiling, could be from all the sugar they handle lol. read more

I really wanted to love and support this place. But the quality of what I purchased was just so so. I bought cookies, banana pudding, and peach lemonade. Cookies are just so thin and small they all broke apart in the bag. There's really nothing to the cookies and it's as if they tried to create the thinnest, lightest, cookie imaginable. The Banana pudding was heavily flavored with artificial banana flavor. I know traditionally banana pudding is made with banana flavored pudding, but it was just turned up with this one, to the point that it was like that banana candy flavor. Not sure if they use an extract on top of the pudding or what? Finally the lemonade was just your average lemonade mix with some flavor syrup. Overall not bad, not not great either. read more

I saw this place advertised on Instagram and just had to try it! It did not disappoint- I bought I little bit of everything. From the take and go area I bought the Banana Pudding-taste like my mom used to make it with the just the right level of sweetness, the peach cobbler was on point with the flavor and crust. I also have the maple cake, the cookies, cinnamon roll and the teeny red velvet bunt cake. Omg everything is delicious and the employees were so patient and kind. I'd probably give 3.5 stars but I'm going to round up for the free cookie you get upon entering the shop. Very nice touch. Shop is small but cute with a table in the center for a little bit of communal seating, but mostly it's designed to order to go. I got a single serve banana pudding and a mixed bag of 6 cookies- they didn't have a list of available varieties anywhere that I saw but the person helping me was able to name what they had at that time. The cookies are a little on the small side compared to what I am used to getting from similar style bakeries/cookie shops. The flavors were good but nothing that completely wowed me. The banana pudding was solid. The prices were very fair ($10 for 6 cookies + $6 for the banana pudding). They had a sign lit in the window that said "hot cinnamon rolls now" and I saw someone rolling some dough but didn't see the finished cinnamon rolls anywhere. That's not usually my go to dessert but if they would have tried the upsell or had them displayed somehow, it might have got me because they do look good in the pictures online! I would like to go back and try the cake slices or the peach cobbler (they were sold out of the cobbler when I went). read more

I tried very hard to like this bakery. I bought many items and just didn't like it. The banana pudding didn't have bananas and it didn't have a southern custard but taste like whipped cream without bananas. The cinnamon rolls were drenched in their icing where it overpowered the cinnamon rolls. The dessert are not truly southern. Everything had that same frosting on it. Needs more variety read more

I felt like this place is trying to us back to what a true bakery is - where building a genuine connection to community members is just as important as making delicious baked goods. And my gosh did they hit the mark on both. I tried the banana pudding here and it was rich, creamy, softened - everything you dream of when you think of a comfort dessert. And the churro cookies are also delicious; I had one on the spot (amazing). I also had one later at home when they weren't warm anymore, but it still melted in my mouth! Like how??
