I purchased the bayalage groupon and made an appointment a month prior for my visit with Ashlea. Before my appointment I went on the website and looked at the FAQ page which gave helpful hints as to how to reach her building. I had no trouble finding the place. I highly recommend you book weeks in advance with her as her business is really picking up! I felt extremely comfortable with Ashlea doing my hair and loved the outcome. I showed her a picture of an idea I had and she was able to replicate that into my hair. She is extremely nice, bubbly and is the type of person you can talk to about just about anything :) I will be sure to make another appt. with her and found she was very easy to get a hold of. For people complaining about getting in touch with her - she is a one man band. She is one person who does EVERYTHING. She does not get voice reception in her room and if she does not answer she is with a client (for example she had 5 other appts. after my 1:30 pm today). She reached out to me via text after I left her a voicemail and that is how she prefers to communicate which I find extremely easy. Book an appt. with her! I tried for 2 weeks to make an appointment at this salon via Google voice and facebook messenger. When she finally called me back she blamed the two different ways I tried to reach her for the reason why she never gave me an appointment. It's not cool to blame your potential customers for your poor customer service skills. How about asking your customers for their phone number and calling them in a timely fashion. Ashley is such a great hairstylist. Why? Because she is a PERFECTIONIST! She will not let you get out of her salon not until she is satisfied with her work or not until you love what she did to your hair and that is important. But what amazes me so much is that she is really passionate with whatever she is doing. And I am a happy customer of hers...not only that because I am alsoso satisfied with her work. Outstanding customer service as well. Very bubbly personality. 3 hours went by so fast because of that. We kept talking and laughing through my entire appointment. Ashlea did such an amazing job with my hair and I can't wait to go back!! I found this salon through Groupon and was able to easily book an appointment for a couple weeks later (more about my availability than hers). The parking garage is a little tricky to find, but Ashlea texted me detailed directions which helped a lot. It's a really small salon, but I appreciated that it was personal so I didn't feel like I was just another appointment that she'd rush to get through. I got a balayage and haircut and it looks GORGEOUS. Ashlea really knew what she was talking about which put me at ease right away and she gave me lots of good pointers for taking care of my fine hair, including stuff like not wasting money on volumizing serums that will make my hair crunchy (and when's the last time you had a hairdresser NOT push a product on you?!?). Ashlea is so sweet and of course.. I love my hair! I even had fun chit chatting with her as she did my hair. I'm usually a quiet client who just lets the stylist do their thing, but the conversation came naturally and it made the experience all the better. Ashlea is amazing! Recently I have been a groupon haircut kind of lady and I was lucky enough to get a balayage groupon for Sweet Wine and Summertime. It was hands down the best hair experience I have had to date. She spent so much time working on my hair asking me how things were going. Ashley is not about keeping her customers happy, Most salons will fix a cut/color upon a few days post PAID SERVICE without recharging the customer. She cancelled the redo appt 2 times and then called the cops when we had a disagreement on my paying for the service AGAIN, when she was supposed to be fixing my hair, which had been PAID FOR in the first session. I'm super crazy about getting my hair cut. I never trust anyone, and had been putting it off for about a year. I looked up the reviews and saw a lot of good ones for Ashlee (sp?). I bought a Groupon and made an appointment. I saw some negative reviews saying she doesn't answer the phone, but it is a google number, so once I called and she didn't pick up (she doesn't like being rude and answering the phone while she's with a client), I just sent her an email on her website, and heard back really fast. Anyway... I needed to get my hair cut a bit shorter than normal since I hadn't gone in so long. I told her my worries and she was really nice, and accommodating, walking me through what she was doing the whole time. When she was finished I could see it looked pretty short and was really nervous, but when I looked in he mirror I loved it! Even though it was shorter than I expected (I asked her to take off that much) I think I will get this haircut every time now! Also, she blow dried and straightened it for no extra charge, which is awesome bc places normally try to charge me another $20 for that, but you can't tell if you got a good cut or not unless it's styled the way you'd normally style it. Not only was she great at cutting hair, but she was really friendly. I highly recommend checking this place out!!! read more
