this used to be me and my families togo thai place and it used to be so good but after getting new ownership, ai menus, completely new employees who didn't know what to do, the place has changed a-lot in a bad way. the portions have gotten way smaller, the workers seemed clueless about everything, and the quality of the food has gone way worse. they used to have a really sweet hispanic waitress and she was the only one who helped us but ever since the new ownership i haven't seen her so i wonder if they fired her. im just very disappointed in this place because the place used to be so good but now its not. i don't recommend this place at all anymore. they've gotten cheap. the ambiance is fine. it's quiet, clean, and dark. read more

I had lunch here today. The food was good, but I'm giving only 1 star because of my checkout experience. The server didn't provide a printed receipt before asking me to tap my card to pay. I selected an additional 7% tip on the payment terminal. Afterward, I requested a printed receipt and noticed that an automatic 18% gratuity had already been added to my approximately $106 bill. That resulted in nearly a 25% total tip, which I wasn't aware of when I paid. If an automatic gratuity is included, customers should be clearly informed before they're asked to complete payment. I was surprised to see how slow the business was on a Saturday. Kudos to them they survived through the pandemic but I wouldn't say they serve the best Thai food. This was my go to and I would always make the drive from Huntington Beach. However, we recently found out they're under new ownership and are being very frugal. Example, they got rid of the fish tank because it was too much $ to deal with ‍ that honestly should've been our first sign that the quality was gonna go down. We love the Hispanic lady- she was always nice, friendly, and attentive and always checked in on us. I went about three weeks ago and did not see her there and assumed it was her day off. That day, I received over cooked pad Thai and it was absolutely disgusting and burnt. We came again tonight and were sooo confused to see completely new workers. Unfortunately they haven't gotten any better. The workers are unattentive. Our server seemed confused and NEVER checked in on us. He never set our tables- he literally asked us how many plates we wanted when our table had NO PLATES NO FORKS NO SPOON! The pad Thai lost its flavor. Barely any crab on the fried rice. Water taste terrible. Portions are wayyyy smaller and of course the price stays the same. Safe to say I am never coming back here. This is what happens when you try to be cheap. The layout hadn't changed and everything pretty much runs the same as before. We ordered some dishes to share, including what I was craving - tom yum noodle soup. This is one of the few places that make this noodle soup and has all the fixings that I like in it. Plus they make it spicy on a consistent basis, which is hard to find. Our food came out quickly and everything was good. Sweetee Thai is one of the those places where some of the dishes are fantastic while most of the other ones are consistently good. We know that when we come here, we will get a good meal. I also convinced my friends to share a coconut smoothie with me - yum! Didn't get her name, but she was quick to serve us. I had ordered the yellow curry with rice and salad. Not sure what dressing they topped the salad with, but it was good. Tasted like honey mustard. First we ordered the chicken satay and it was so juicy, and paired with the peanut sauce, it was incredible. We also ordered spicy fried rice with chicken in the medium spice level. It was so good with a burst of flavors once we had a bite. Don't underestimate the heat! My parents enjoyed it but it was too spicy for me, so we ordered another regular fried rice with chicken, and looking at it seemed like it wouldn't be as flavorful but it was amazing as well! The rice was so fluffy and there was a good amount of chicken and eggs. Another dish we ordered was the chicken pad see ew. This was the only dish which didn't blow me away, and wasn't really the best pad see ew I've had. The next dish that came out was the chicken panang curry, and the curry was exceptional! I loved pairing it with the regular fried rice. It was so creamy and light. Staff here were friendly and kept on asking if everything was to our liking. Portions aren't that big for the cost, but all food is expensive these days. You have to ask for utensils and condiments. I was in Artesia for work today and got a sudden craving for Thai food. I remembered a spot on South Street that I had tried a while ago and loved, so I decided to give it another go. I'm so glad I did! The food was just as amazing as I remembered. I went with a few friends and we ordered a bunch of dishes to share. I got the seafood dish, and honestly, it was a solid 10/10. Fresh, flavorful, and just perfect. I also tried the crab fried rice, which was packed with real, fresh crab--definitely a winner in my book. My friends ordered the fried mussels, along with a couple of other dishes, and everything was so good! We ended on a high note with Thai French toast for dessert... It was bomb! My family and I used to frequent this place almost monthly from 12 years ago til about 5 years ago. We decided to give it another shot after being away for so many years. On August 4, we went for lunch and had a waitress who could barely speak English greet us and take our order, (which was incorrect when we asked for for pork Moo Yang, she gave us some ages old beef). Then she tried to up-sell us on some lunch set which we're not interested in. We ordered pad-see-ey, and 2 thai boat noodles, in which were terrible tasting. The last straw was when we got our bill which came with a 18% service charge. We had 3 adults and barely 2 childs. Asked the waitress is it customary to charge automatic service charge for barely a group of 5, she nodded her head and spoke gibberish. There is also no clear mention of this charge on any of the menus or elsewhere in the restaurant. A once fine establishment probably ran to ruins by new greedy management, I as well as my millions of followers will never set foot here again. read more
