Love this place! The medium gam-ja-tang already has a good portion of meat with potatoes, pasta, and perilla leaves/seeds. The pork cutlet is pretty big, and the crunch factor is definitely there. We also got the mini toppokki and the chicken bulgogi, which were both flavorful. Honestly, all the dishes and the sides they offer hit the spot. My personal favorite sides are the kimchi, the cucumber with radish, and the fishcake. Service was wonderful- the lady taking care of us was friendly and accommodating. They also have a call bell, which makes it easier if you need to call the servers for anything instead of flagging them down. For the interior, I like the lighting display- gives a nice illumination to the place. It's a plus that they're also open late till 12am!

Small bossam and soon tofu haejangguk combo

Went for a late weekday dinner. Service was quick to sit but took a little bit to take my order, which was odd since there was only one other group in the restaurant at the time. Eventually got to ordering. They are known for their gamjatang but did not want to order a super large soup for myself, so opted for the bossam + soon tofu haejangguk combo. A decent spread of banchan was provided. The meal came, was a disappointed that the soon tofu soup bowl was sort of half full only. Bossam was ok but not anything crazy good. Left a bit underwhelmed since the reviews were good otherwise. Thinking I should give it another shot and try the gamjatang but this wasn't that great of an overall experience.

I was excited to try Jomaru and some dishes that I've never had, amongst which included the mung bean pancake and spicy monkfish stew. My friend and I shared both, and rice cost $2 extra. The mung bean pancake was sturdy, almost like eating a baked potato with a rougher texture. It felt earthen and healthy to eat, though. The monkfish was interesting, definitely a meatier and drier fish with less taste - one of those must-dips in the sauce. For a dish this large, there both wasn't a lot of fish, and the rice costing extra almost implied that it wasn't meant to be shared? But this dish is most definitely big enough for two! At this price point, I was shocked that rice was not included for us. Service was fairly quick, and the sides were okay. Their marinated potato and seaweed was amongst my favorites. On a weekday afternoon, the restaurant did feel a bit emptier, but this is a large space! Paying was also fairly easy and efficient, and they were able to split our bill down the middle - yay!

Unlike most hotpots, and with Korean dishes that I've never experienced before, their gamjatang pork bone soup stands out for its unique, savory, and rich flavors and density of ingredients. The pork bones included were tender and meaty and absolutely delicious over rice and with homemade banchan. The portions are huge, so arrive with a very empty stomach or invite extra people! Service is good. Although upon arrival, the tables were filling up and the servers seemed overwhelmed. But once your food arrives and you're settled, they are responsive to the help button or are walking around to make sure guests are comfeand have what they need. Very relaxed atmosphere with booths and other sesting options for larger parties.

Service 150/100. Food quality 100/100. Kimchi 200/100. My mom and I are still raving and craving Jomaru's extremely delicious kimchi ban chan and the wonderful seafood soondubu jiggae and seafood hot stone bibimbap we had for lunch recently. We swung by on a sleepy Monday afternoon and so glad we did. Our server was very kind, patient, and observant. She had a very keen sense of timing due to being very aware of what the diner needs next. She expertly stopped by at our table to refill drinks, ban chan, brought our orders, took away empty plates, any extra items I wanted, food containers, check, you name it, she had it on the ready. I never even had to say a word or look over to find her. GOLLY just with the immaculate timings of bringing EVERYTHING a diner needed without any wait or feeling rushed alone blew me away. I wish every servers at a dining place was like her. It elevates the dining experience so much and makes a huge difference. The seafood hot stone bibimbap had loads of different shellfish types of seafood in it. I found different clams and shrimps in every single bite of my food. Loved it!! The accompanying egg made for a mellower flavor when mixed in which I appreciated. And the kimchi omg. I could eat a whole bucket of it with just rice and be a happy camper. It was THAT good. All the ban chan made this a very filling meal and I can't believe it was only $15 due to its lunch price promotion. My mom thoroughly enjoyed her seafood soondubu jiggae and loved all the kimchi. We still talk about it some half a week later and hope to go back again before she flies home next week. Lastly, parking is ample and free in front of the restaurant. I hope to try their other menu items in the future also. This is a restaurant I wouldn't mind taking an hour drive from home, traffic or not, just to go eat there due to good service, good food, and late closing time.

We came here on a weekday and ordered the katsu and gamja tang. Their portion is big, especially with the soup. We ordered the M size gamjatang which was for serving of 2 and had plenty of leaftovers, we had 2 more meals with it at home. Love both of the dishes we had. The soup flavor was very savory, love the perilla taste. The katsu was also good, very crispy. A few of the banchan like the radish kimchi tasted off though, like it was old.

Food: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Ambiance: 10/10 This place is outstanding from start to finish. It is clean, spacious, and very comfortable, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal without feeling rushed or cramped. No idea why it didn't have a line o it the door but this is my second time going in the same week! The staff are truly some of the nicest people ever. They genuinely care about your experience and are on top of everything, great recommendations, quick refills, and always checking in without being intrusive. Service alone would make this place worth coming back to. But the real star of the show was the Soy Braised Pork Bone Stew with Vermicelli. Oh my goodness. Absolutely incredible. So flavorful, comforting, and satisfying. The portion was generous enough that I even had leftovers to take home. This is a must-try spot, and I'll definitely be back for more.

Jomaru is a fairly new Korean hot pot place in Cerritos! My friend and I shared a medium Gamjatang and it was a large enough portion to fill us both and have leftovers. The broth was very flavorful and the meat fell right off the bone. I also loved the variety of the banchan. The staff was very kind as they helped us cut the meat and served our first bowls.

If you're a fan of gam ja tang, this place is a must try. Hands down, it was the best gam ja tang I've had. It had a deep, rich broth with tons of flavor and perfectly cooked pork that fell right off the bone. It's the kind of dish you keep thinking about after you leave. We also tried a variety of other dishes and were impressed across the board. The seolleongtang was amazing, clean yet deeply comforting, and clearly simmered with care. The mul-naengmyeon was refreshing and well-balanced, and the panjeon was nicely crisp without being greasy. The bossam was good overall, though a bit too lean for my personal taste, I prefer it slightly fattier, but still enjoyable. To top it off, the banchan was really good, fresh, flavorful, and generous. Overall, this spot really shines with its soups, especially the gam ja tang and seolleongtang. I'd absolutely come back, especially on a cold day when you want something hearty and satisfying.

I've found my new fav Korean soup spot! Didn't realize that there's a jomaru in this plaza before. It's right next to meet fresh, with plaza parking. Very spacious, bright, clean, and opens late (midnight!!). Relaxing vibe, great service, and most importantly, their food was so hearty and tasty. Highly recommend the gamjatang and seafood pancake. Their side dishes were basic but with good variety. Highly recommend.

I wanted to like this place more but meh. It's more like 3.5 stars. We were all craving some Korean food and found this spot on Yelp. I came here with a group of 4 for lunch on a weekday. There was maybe one or two more parties inside while we were there. We got seated right away and were given their banchan. All of which were pretty good. For food we got their Pork bone stew, a seafood tofu soup, and a seafood pancake to share. I actually found everything to be very bland. The pork bone stew definitely needed more flavor. It came with some potatoes, lots of meat, and some veggies and mushrooms. We were all given rice with it. The seafood pancake came with some sauce so that was good. The tofu soup was decent. The portions were quite generous and we had left overs to take home. The one lady working though was really nice and made great recommendations. She was also good about telling us how to eat everything and came to fix the food up for us. Definitely very attentive. The inside of this place is casual but pretty large and great for large groups or smaller ones. They have a good variety on their menu and even have lunch specials and combo deals. If I did come back I would probably try something different.

Jomaru is a chain based in Korea that has made its way to the states! They have quickly become my go-to Korean spot because they close much later than other spots (midnight) and every time I've been here, there's no wait for a table. Although they are well known for their Gamja tang hot pot, I have a very specific review of some other items. First, I'll start off with the best thing on the menu...the sullongtang! Yes, it's pretty weird to say because it's such an overlooked dish, but they have somehow surpassed all of my expectations. The broth has the DEEPEST flavor of any bone broth I've ever had. One sip and you'll know what I'm talking about; it's clear, yet has just enough fat to enhance depth. The brisket meat is extremely tender, which almost never happens when I order sullongtang. Seriously, this is some impressive broth. Next is the Bossam. I am so happy that they sell a half-order because it's the perfect amount to share between two people. The full size is perfect for a party, but not many restaurants offer a smaller one. It's not the best bossam I've had - it has a bit more "spice" than I'd prefer - I can't tell if it's cinnamon or something, but it has a sweetness to it that I'd prefer less of. Nonetheless, the bossam is tender and fatty as you'd expect. The soondubu haejangguk is a surprise. It's not your regular tofu soup - it's got a heavier, heartier flavor because of the added vegetables and meat. It's known for its hangover-curing qualities, and it's perfect for the winter. We've ordered the galbi and pork bulgogi in the past - it's decent enough, but I'd only order if you had a large group and wanted to try more things. Overall, at this point I literally come back just for the sullongtang and the bossam. I think about the broth every single week.

If you're craving authentic Korean comfort food, Jomaru is a must-try! They specialize in gamjatang (pork bone potato soup) and other rich, hearty stews that taste just like the real deal. They've been in this location for about a year (maybe a little less), and I've already ordered takeout from them at least six times. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the flavors are chef's kiss--definitely among the best in town. The staff are always welcoming, and the atmosphere is casual, comfortable, and never too loud--perfect for hanging out with friends, coworkers, or family. Whether you're dining in or grabbing it to go, you can't go wrong here. Do yourself a favor: check out their menu and treat yourself!

It has been transformed…read moreinto one of the area's premier destinations for authentic Korean comfort food, embracing the traditions of slow-cooked, homestyle recipes passed down through generations. Every dish reflects a dedication to Korean culinary heritage, arriving at the table bubbling, sizzling, and steaming with irresistible aromas. Step inside and you are welcomed by the comforting scent of toasted sesame, simmering garlic, and richly fermented broths that instantly make you feel at home. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and unpretentious, capturing the feeling of gathering around a family dinner table. The menu celebrates soulful Korean classics with bold fermented flavors, slow-simmered stews, casseroles, salad wrap combinations, noodle dishes, and grilled fish, alongside shareable favorites like Korean chive pancakes, seafood pancakes, and abalone porridge. Every meal begins with one of the best complimentary spreads of banchan in town. The assortment is vibrant, tangy, spicy, and refreshingly diverse, featuring dishes that are increasingly difficult to find at many Korean restaurants. Our table included a variety of namul (seasoned vegetables), steamed eggplant, creamy Korean potato salad, japchae, and wonderfully fresh kimchi. Each side dish provided its own balance of flavor and texture while perfectly complementing both steamed rice and the main courses. **Dwaeji Bossam (Steamed Pork with Napa Cabbage) + Doenjang Jjigae (Soybean Paste Stew) Combo, plus banchan - $45.99** The bossam showcases beautifully prepared pork belly that is incredibly moist, tender, and melt-in-your-mouth rich without any unwanted pork odor. Thin slices of pork are elegantly arranged like ribbons and served alongside an impressive assortment of accompaniments: spicy julienned radish kimchi (musaengchae), sliced raw garlic, fresh jalapeños, ssamjang (sweet and savory fermented soybean chili paste), saeujeot (salted fermented shrimp), carrot and cucumber sticks, crisp green leaf lettuce, and blanched napa cabbage for wrapping. Every condiment serves a purpose. The crunchy radish kimchi cuts through the richness of the pork with bright acidity and spice. The saeujeot delivers an intensely savory burst of umami, while the ssamjang contributes a balanced combination of sweetness, heat, and fermented depth. Wrapped together inside fresh lettuce or tender napa cabbage, every bite becomes an explosion of contrasting textures and harmonious flavors. The accompanying doenjang jjigae is equally satisfying. The fermented soybean paste creates a deep, aged savoriness that is rich yet mellow, supported by anchovy stock, garlic, and just enough heat from sliced jalapeños. A slightly thickened broth envelopes silky tofu, tender zucchini, onions, and potatoes, creating one of Korean cuisine's most comforting stews. **Eun Daegu Jorim (Braised Black Cod) - $48.99** The braised black cod is another standout. Buttery, flaky pieces of fish are gently simmered in a glossy reduction that perfectly balances savory, sweet, spicy, and umami flavors. Thick chunks of radish slowly absorb the rich braising liquid until they become almost as satisfying as the fish itself. Just before serving, the dish is finished with freshly diced green onions that contribute brightness and a subtle bite to this deeply comforting classic. Service deserves special recognition. Every member of the staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. My family felt immediately at ease from the moment we walked through the door. The servers anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, quietly refilling water glasses and clearing finished plates with thoughtful timing. What impressed me most was the kindness they showed my mother, treating her with genuine warmth, sincere compliments, and the type of hospitality that made us feel less like customers and more like welcomed guests in someone's home. This restaurant beautifully showcases everything that makes Korean comfort food so beloved: slow-cooked recipes made entirely from scratch, deeply flavorful stews, generous portions, exceptional banchan, and heartfelt hospitality. Between the authentic homestyle cooking, robust flavors, and caring service, it has quickly become one of the finest places in the area to experience the warmth and comfort of traditional Korean cuisine.

The side dishes or banchan change frequently, my favorites are the tomato and apple, onion and parsley plus the house made kimchi. Occasionally they have the white or non spicy kimchi which is so delicious and refreshing. We often get the combo cold noodle with beef bulgogi (thin sliced marinated beef) or kalbi (LA style short rib sliced across and marinated then grilled). Love the bossam plate :boiled pork belly served with vegetables for wrapping. Also good is the marinated chicken & veggie wraps combo. The gamjeatang or pork spare rib spicy stew if full of tender pork and stewed vegetables, that I feel is a healthy alternative to the grilled meats. The boochoo neon (I hope I spelled that correctly) or chive pancake is done so well here: tender and crispy on the edges. Great for sharing as an appetizer. They totally use their outside fridge for ingredients. My kids loved the kimchis they have. We got chicken soup, soluntang and the pork. My kids loved everything. I'm a bit under the weather so the hearty chicken soup really hit the spot. It didn't have a huge piece of ginseng like some places but I didn't mind that. The lady working was so nice as well. It's a small authentic Korean joint that's family-owned. The ambiance isn't the best but the food definitely makes up for it; it's more of an older generation vibe. The salt and green onions are self-serve. I always get their Seolleongtang or Kong Na Mool Guk Bap and they both come with rice. They both taste great and are often considered a hangover cure. If you want to add noodles, you can choose between white or glass. Near the end of your meal, they give you Sikhye as a little treat. Sikhye is a traditional sweet rice punch. This place is never too packed and it's a great place to dine if you're looking for something light hearty and a warm meal!
