I stopped into Sweetgreen with a friend for Friday lunch. When we walked in most of the tables were full of people enjoying their meals, so I took this as a good sign. The place isn't very large, but we were lucky enough to snag two bar seats facing a window looking out to the stores across the street. I had the Bondi salad which came with an Asian dressing, mixed greens, wasabi peas, corn, chicken and hearts of palm. I don't eat avocado, which normally would come with the salad, but even without it, the salad was delish! My friend had the salad special of the day which came with falafel and looked very yummy as well. I wish I had enough room for the fro-yo, but there was no room to spare. Yum! Healthy, fresh, and good selection. I got the curry chicken salad and my boyfriend got the avocado and chicken salad in a wrap. Both were delicious. A little pricey for salad, but the one I tried was more like a meal, and afterwards, I was quite satisfied. The salads are quite tasty, but the staff seemed a bit miserable. A smile won't kill you! Nice place to have a quick lunch if you are in the area. The salads are all fresh, local, organic, and taste good. Its a little on the expensive side but I guess its cause its local and organic. My favorite salad that i like to get from here is the spicy sabzi, you can also create your own if you arent really into their signature ones. The food is good. The staff are terrible. Surly and rude. As if you could not be inconveniencing them more by patronizing their establishment. They leave ingredients out and act as if it's your fault when they don't have some ingredients. Don't even try to come in the half hour before they close. I called at 8:50pm to order a pick up wrap after the gym, going off the yelp information that they closed at 10pm. The woman who answered the phone was super nice, asked me if i'd be there soon because they were about to close, then helped me decide what ingredients to pick. Turns out they closed at 9, I got there 5 off, wrap was ready, cost me about 6.50 ( that's the chic p wrap minus the falafel- which happens to be cheaper thanks to the generous employee info! ) nice people and good, healthy food! Great place for a quick and healthy lunch. They are credit card only to improve efficiency, the lunch rush is managed well and goes by fast. They have pre-made salads to help you narrow down the multiple options. The matcha drinks were interesting, but I'm not a personal fan. My husband and I go to Sweetgreen often. One of our favorite places to eat. Love their salads!!

I've had two experiences at Sweet Green. 1) The place was open about a month or so and my oldest asked if we could go try it out. Sure, why not? We open the door at 7:58 pm. The guy behind the counter immediately says "We're closed" without even looking at us. Apparently, they close at 8. No "I'm sorry but we're closed", no "Unfortunately we're closed.". Just simply "We're closed." Given that there were a couple of people still in the shop and the relative new-ness, I was shocked that they didn't try to squeeze in a couple of extra frozen yogurt sales. Especially because my iPhone indicated that it wasn't even 8 yet (I had to double check after we were thrown out). 2) It had been a boycotted shop based on the prior experience, but last week, my oldest asked again since she still hadn't gotten to try it out. Ok, why not? The frozen yogurt is unique -- it's made from real yogurt and is tart like real yogurt. You can add sweet toppings to make it more dessert-like, but the underlying flavor is tart. It was interesting. I wouldn't classify it was something that is good in a conventional sense for a dessert, but is was refreshing. There were also people eating salads, but we didn't partake. Overall a 1 for the first experience coupled with a 3 for the product that they're selling averages out to a round 2. read more

Overall I really like this place. It's a nice healthy on the go alternative to fast food and ice cream however I've been grossed out the past few times I have been in there. As I watch them make my food I watch tons of gnats and fruit flies land on the produce cheeses and on the glass. Now I've been a on going customer at all the stores in the square for sometime now. One day last week I decided to go to Sweetgreen and that visit will be my last. Now as a customer I just wanna air out my opinion of the store in Ardmore. Do NOT EAT THERE!!! there nothing in this world worst than the night shift manager Mikey, or maybe his name was Mickey. Anyways he was a loud obnoxious person i would try to tell him what I wanted in my salad to be slowed down by his impendingly terrible and inappropriate jokes he told one of the girls next to him to "shake it" referring to the dressing and its was by far one of the most awkward moments in my life. I love the west philly location. Both times I ordered from Ardmore, parts of salad ingredients were over or under cooked. Hard sweet potatoes. The pesto vinaigrette dressing wasn't shaken and was pure oil so tasted like nothing and ruined salad. Will not go back to Ardmore location. Too bad. read more

as a college student, healthy options rarely are a go-to but sweetgreen (this location in particular) is always a great choice. the store itself is super clean and the service is great- went when the bread was baking, so gave up on getting any, but a thoughtful employee came over to our table and made sure we got some from the new batch! definitely will remember that. would recommend for a casual post-gym meal, or any meal for that matter. will miss this place after graduation! read more

Sweetgreen never dissappoints and this is by far the friendliest location of all, which is the only reason I'm reviewing it. Aside from the amazing salads that are consistent every time, the staff here really genuinely goes out of their way to be friendly and nice--it's funny because to me this could be a challenge, given a presumably difficult main line clientele. Every single time I've been there, the people on the line are lovely. Also, I love all the bowls and salads, even the worst ones I've had are 10 times better than the best thing at Honeygrow. I like the Szabzi, the new warm portabello bowl and pretty much you can't go wrong with anything. Also, the pesto dressing is amazing. One tip: trust them to do what they do well--go with their blends, and don't sub out the dressing--for the best experience. Even funky dressings that I wouldn't try at other places--always end up being great here. I've been tempted to customize, but it always seems that they have down pat what works well together already. I also would guess if you customize, it gets more expensive. Excellent fresh healthy food and the price is well worth it--if you are not that hungry, split a salad. I'm a hearty eater and they are almost too much for me unless I'm starving. read more

As a person who doesn't really eat healthily but wants to, sweet greens was a pretty good experience.

I am a HUGE fan of sweetgreen-- will travel to eat there and definitely subway to get lunch and dinner there when I am in NYC. Food is great, quality is great, flavors are great, and salad ingredients just beat every other salad place. I don't know why but for some reason sweetgreen salads just taste better than everywhere else! I am only giving three stars for the Suburban Square location because it can definitely improve on service. The food prep people are just really sloppy and annoyed. Not necessarily bad attitude, but they just don't seem in sync and I feel like food is flying all over the place when they make the salads--counter tops are dirty, and the toppings are all mixed in with each other. Hope no one has any major allergies. They also ran out of spinach?? Not sure how that is possible for a salad place. And they are always out of bread. I guess I should thank them for helping me avoid the carbs. I think this location needs better management...perhaps management should visit sweetgreen in NYC during lunch time madness and see how efficiently they operate there. read more

It's salad. It's fresh, and there are plenty of toppings to choose from, along with some solid suggestions. The dressings I've had have all been really good, and you can get a slice of a nice brown bread on the side. Some of the servers could lose the attitude, and they're skimpy with the frozen yogurt (although it's easily the best frozen yogurt I've ever had, including Red Mango and Yapple in Wynnewood). It's expensive, but you're paying for a nice, large, fresh salad, so it's not outrageous. read more
