Really 3.5, but I'm feeling generous. The food flavor/taste, solid. Decor Insta-worthy. Staff very friendly. Portions for sides like bread and rice very much on the stingy side. Service is lack luster to low grade. For the price point, having to ask for extra bread, pita, clean plates, utensils, take away dirty plates, will have people not returning. BTW, asking for just water for your " drink order " will be bottled, not ice water in a glass or cup. It'll be a while till I return, but worth checking them out if your around, especially for some late night comfort food.

While looking for a celebratory restaurant to celebrate 2 birthdays, I came across White House Tajine. I made the reservation and then read several reviews where couples were turned away on Valentine's Day even with reservations, so I called to triple check we were on the list and remind them in person we were celebrating 2 birthdays. When we got to the restaurant, we walked into the main dining room but were ushered upstairs. In that small dining room, the walls are draped in fabric with the decor seeming to be a little tired. We started with a small mezze which was an okay size for four although we could have used more pita bread. The 5 dishes in the mezze were a good variety, and I especially enjoyed the baba ghanoush. My husband had the Kefta Tagine which he said was good although a little under seasoned. I liked the Chicken Tagine as it came out hot and juicy although it too could have used more seasoning. One of our friends was not happy with his chicken cous cous while his wife had the lamb kabob. She said it was good although dry. Because we were upstairs, the servers had to constantly run up and down the stairs, so they kept opening the front door. As our table was right next to the stairs, throughout the meal I kept jumping up from my seat to dash down the stairs in order to close the door since they kept leaving it open. No one seemed to care the cold air was blowing in through the open front door, and I kept having to ask the servers to please close the door. It also took a long time to get our entrees, and people who were seated after us appeared to get theirs well before us. At the end of the meal, there was not one acknowledgment for the real reason we were there--to celebrate 2 birthdays. Overall, interesting food and a money-saving BYOB, but just an okay experience.

Very tasty and delicious lamb leg very hot dish. We loved it and wish to come again. Service excellent.

The plating is beautiful. This was spanakopita, Taziki, and hummus with pita

Delicious food!! The ambiance is lovely, clean, cozy. Good vibes all throughout. The owner and the service staff were great, the food was amazing. I highly recommend. Im forewarned: you will sitting right next to total strangers at the beginning of the meal, but they will become good friends by the end.

Food is really great, but the service has to be one of the worst I ever received. First, there is no AC inside, and my friends and I had to squeeze in the corner seat with the decoration constantly hitting my head. The main server kept forgetting what our table number was and was asking US what it was, showing us the iPad and putting it down on the table and going through the tables one by one, seeing which one was ours.. We ordered the Medium Moroccan Mezze, Falafel Platter, Mediterranean salad, and the Chicken Dinner Kabob Platter, and Moroccan Coffee. It took about 45 minutes since we got seated for the mezze, falafel platter, and salad to come out. Not gonna lie, we were impressed by the food and it was so good! I wanted to save some of the hummus and dips for the chicken kabob, so I was taking my time eating them until we realized we had finished everything and had to ask for more pita. We did get more pita pretty soon after, and this time it was warmed up and we were like wow! yes! Even yummier! And then the server asked if we were done and so we asked when the rest of our orders was coming out. He looked confused. Once again, he asked what our table number was and went through the iPad together to find that we indeed placed more orders.. At this time it had been about 1.5hours since we had sat down. It was also getting hotter because there is no AC here and the fan was not blowing in our direction... He tells the kitchen staff to get us our chicken kabob and the coffee. Only about 10 minutes later they come out, and so we think they had originally forgotten it.. At this rate we were full and a lot of dessert places seem to be closing soon so we decide to finish our food fast and ask for the check. The main server was constantly outside so we ask a different, younger guy for the bill. He says okay. But he continues to just run around and serve other tables, which we were confused about and were getting impatient with, since we already had to wait so long for our food and now we had to wait more to even leave the restaurant.. Once again, we ask for the bill to the same guy, and the main server runs in saying HE is the check man and that we should not be asking anybody else. Other customers look at us and laugh. We try to pay and for the third time, he forgets our table number. Good thing we memorized ours and helped him out right away. We got the bill, and the plastic bottled water that we received were charged in the bill which I thought was ridiculous.. They were not serving tap water and this was the only water that they were giving. So why then was it charged on the bill..? Anyways, the food was great so it is such a shame that the service is pretty bad that I would not come back unless I had all the time in the world to spare..

This restaurant is such a gem. My husband and I loved it so much we took our 3 children back - it was my birthday dinner choice! They loved it too! They proclaimed it the best food they have ever eaten. Food is authentic, fresh and absolutely delicious - from the tea to the mezze to the soup to the Tajine to the dessert - it's such a treat!

A happy birthday surprise, Chocolate Mousse Cake!

Service was terrible, which affected everything else. Bread promised to the table never came, nor a waiter to ask about it. Water was delivered after 10 or 15 minutes. Though we had a reservation for 7 pm, they seemed totally unprepared for us and seemed very shortstaffed. We were told the person who checked us in, Zach, had already left. Nobody came to check on us while waiting or during the meal and items that were requested to come first as an appetizer, such as soup and the pastilla dish, were served altogether with entrées. The worst was checking out. We were never given a bill. The waiter came with an iPad and said what the total was, $177 for 4 people. Seemed high, but we just paid it and left. On the way home we tried to calculate how the bill could be that high for what we ordered. We were given no receipt and none was emailed, so we saw no breakdown of the charges. I called there the next day and left a message, where nobody called back. I called again later in the day and spoke with someone 3 TIMES before I got an emailed receipt, and could finally see the errors. I was actually texted screenshots, where I could see the charges. We were charged for a lamb couscous ($39) instead of a vegetable couscous ($29), a $10 difference in an already overpriced dish that had few vegetables and little couscous. Expecting to share it with 2 people, it was good that we ordered some other things. It was not a proper serving for 2 (small portion) and it was just ok. We were also charged twice for tea when asked if we wanted refills. Can you believe $20 for tea? All in all, a huge overcharge. Instead of refunding just the difference in the charge, he refunded the price of the entire dish, so the refund was $51. But in what occurred with the service and the fact we could not get a bill, put a real damper on an otherwise pleasant evening with friends. There is no excuse for what happened, and will likely prevent me from returning to this restaurant. It's a shame, as the flavor of the food is good.

Always looking for new restaurants and last night my buddy and I met up and went out for dinner. He recommended this place although, I was reluctant to go as each time I have gone to Moroccan places I never really cared for the food. It was his bday so I let him take the lead. Food was incredible, start to finish everything was amazing. We got a medium size Mezze which was incredible. Never had hummus that I enjoyed, this was incredible. Baba Ghanoush was fantastic as well. Additionally we got the Lamb and Chicken Kebab and a Goat Tajine. all were outstanding. To top it off, the gentlemen who waited on us I believe also was the chef was amazing. Very welcoming, friendly and funny. You can tell he loves to make people smile, not only through his interactions with the customer but through the passion and love he puts into his food. Amazing place and look forward to going back.

Wow, this place is awesome. We don't live close by but one time I went to surreal creamery I saw this place. I looked online and saw the amazing food pictures and the raving reviews. I decided to take my husband there for a date night. We were both seated right away, we brought our baby, and the staffs were so friendly. The owner was very helpful and recommended several dishes for us. We were so glad they did, cuz the food was phenomenal. And the presentation was on point too. I will definitely come back again, the only slight criticism I would say is when we came there's a lot of flies, which could be distracting sometimes.

We dined at the White House Tajine around 4pm with the restaurant being almost empty (just one couple sitting down). The waiter asks if we have reservations and we say no an he said you can take that table. The table has two used and dirty plates which we set aside. The waiter comes and gives us the same plates again, which we note that they are dirty. He leaves and comes back 5 minutes later to take the order (Baba Ghanoosh, two lamb kabobs and a lamb shank Tajine). We sit for 15 minutes and he comes with the appetizer and which point we ask for water. He then brings us 3 bottled waters (and no glasses). After half an hour, he comes with two lamb kabobs, which have a tiny tiny amount of rice for in a bowl (to be shared for two people). Then after 10 minutes he comes with the other dish. If we wait for 30 minutes, at least we expect the food to arrive at the same time. Both dishes are very bland (although tender) so we ask for salt. He brings a shaker which is so dirty and disgusting (that I refuse to touch). In general the food was bland, the service was awful and the place is super yucky.

    Goat Tajine

This was by far the best Moroccan I've had! The Moroccan Mezza was enough to fill us up, but then our meals were magnificent! Goat Tajine, Goat Couscous and Lamb Tajine. Service was excellent, friendly and fun atmosphere. Highly recommend

I originally placed a catering order with the manager of the restaurant for an iftar. We agreed on a menu of lamb shank tajine, chicken tajine, and rice, and we agreed on a price of $4500, which was paid in full the day before the Iftar. The morning of the Iftar, I was contacted by the owner of the restaurant demanding more money or else they would cancel our order. I told him that I made the order with the manager and that we already paid, so why was there a problem? He said "oh that guy doesn't really work for us, he just helps us out sometimes." The owner stated that we need to pay an extra $1500 and would cut our order in half! I tried contacting the manager to understand why this was happening, but he blocked my number! The owner and I finally agreed on a menu of 45 trays of lamb tajine and 45 trays of rice to keep the price at $4500. We also agreed that each tray would feed 8 people each (see screenshots below). When they delivered the food (over half an hour late), we were shocked to see just how little food they put in each tray. The pictures show how the trays looked immediately after opening them, before anyone had a chance to eat from them. Every tray was like this, and they didn't even provide 45 trays. I contacted the owner and he said each tray would feed "UP TO 8 people". I asked the owner for a partial refund, and he refused. You can see in the text conversation that it specifically says "each tray will feed 8 people" and he responds with "order confirmed". These people are scammers, and they scam their own people in the holiest month of the Islamic calendar. Imagine how they treat others the rest of the year. And the food wasn't even good, I don't think they used any salt or spices.

Located in Bryn Mawr on Conestoga Rd, there is a private lot and street parking available. They have indoor and outdoor seating available. We were greeted by a friendly server before we even stepped inside. The host station is right inside and we were welcomed warmly once again. They offered us our choice of inside/outside seating. Being our first time there we wanted to see the interior. I mentioned this and they gave us a great table upstairs overlooking the restaurant. The store is decorated with a lot of Italian transportation...small cars and Vespas. I loved the high ceilings, and the upper level seating. They also have a huge TV on the wall, and decorated for the 2026 World Cup, despite Italy not qualifying! Our server, Alex, was very personable despite being busy with a large bday gathering and several other tables. He made us feel welcome as he went over the specials and took our orders. I got the chicken Parmesan which is my goto litmus test, while my date got the beet salad with grilled chicken. The food arrived promptly and looked and tasted delicious. My chicken parm was yummy, crispy chicken with melted cheese over delicious spaghetti! The beet salad was also well received. We saw several tables getting some delicious bread and asked for a basket. I thought it may be complimentary however it was 8$ a basket. They make it in house and drizzle it with olive oil. Served with some fresh rosemary and soft butter, it was delicious and well worth the price, just don't fill up on it! We were pressed for time so turned down their house made gelato, however we passed the gelato station on the way out and regretted this decision, it looked amazing! I mentioned to Alex that my entree was delicious but what set the restaurant apart was the service and atmosphere. It was warm, welcoming, and friendly. Some Italian places can be a bit on the cool/formal side so this was a nice change. Stop in and check it out, save some room for that bread and the gelato!
