I placed a mobile order yesterday for sweetgreen's outpost and had a very pleasant experience. The food came on time with everything I ordered (a custom bowl). My only issue was how expensive it was just for a bowl (over $22). Would maybe try one of their pre-fixed bowl menu items next time at their restaurant. This sweetgreen is pretty good. It is one of the few fast casual establishments in the area. I mostly utilize online ordering. I haven't had too many issues with my order. Only once I ordered guacamole greens and they gave me the wrong dressing. It was another green looking dressing so I didn't notice until I got home and put it on my salad, it was the one they use for the Chicken Pesto Parm, so it was a pesto type dressing. I just try to check my order before I leave so there's an opportunity to fix it. Another time we ordered food online, but the Sweetgreen was closed for some reason (it was a normal day, during normal working hours). They charged my fiancé's card, but we worked with customer service and they fixed the issue. Most of the time my online pick up order is correct and ready for pickup at the specified time. I love to get the harvest bowl which has chicken, sweet potatoes, apple, goat cheese, wild rice, kale, and balsamic vinaigrette. More recently I tried the Hot Honey Chicken which had 2 portions of chicken, almonds, sweet potatoes, kale cabbage slaw, and quinoa. I like their wild rice so I substituted wild rice for the quinoa. It was good too, and filling! I also love guacamole greens it's a salad that does taste like guacamole to me! That was what I first ordered when I wasn't that into salads. Another thing is it is really hard to find nutritional info on their website. I try to monitor how much dairy I eat and I need to know what goes into everything, including the dressings. This Sweetgreen doesn't have a lot of seating and most of the tables were pretty unclean when my friend and I were here last night around dinner time. The Kale Caesar Salad I got is always a classic because of the delicious Caesar dressing. I asked for extra chicken, but it didn't feel like it was double the portions. A great option to have in your back pocket. We live in the area and have had our days (like I'm sure many of us have) where our body just tells us we need a salad for dinner. Sweetgreen has come in CLUTCH on those days! You can order online, substitute any options that you'd like, and have everything ready upon arrival. I think their staff are always so nice, too! I went here after a workout class in hopes of being healthy. The place seemed fairly clean and empty around 8. I went to order the curried cauliflower salad and stood in line to wait. As I looked down I saw a brown bug crawling across the floor. Now I am no scientist, I can't say with 100% accuracy that it was a cockroach but damn, did it look like a cockroach. I literally was frozen in my tracks and yes, I should have said something but I was so disturbed by this critter crossing my path that I couldn't say anything. I am REALLY hoping this place doesn't have a cockroach issue... Regardless of the bug, the lady didn't ask me about how much dressing I wanted and just poured it on. And I honestly couldn't find one piece of cauliflower in my salad. I kept thinking I was eating cauliflower but I think it was just quinoa so I can't really recommend this salad cause it was confusing. read more

I have been here many times, mostly because I live a few blocks away. Here is what is consistent about this location: they will screw up your order, they will be late with online orders, they will badger you into subbing ingredients you don't want (because they're out of the ones you do want), they will fight with you if you don't want a piece of bread (seriously...this one is just perplexing but happens 50% of the time), they will slop salad all over the counter in front of you and not clean up afterwards, they will not take out the trash, so it's always overflowing, they will not clean the restaurant, so the tables are always messy, and they will treat all of the above like they're doing you a favor when making a salad. We typically get the kale caesar or make our own bowls. I decided this trip to try one of their new fall bowls the chicken+ brussels (Roasted chicken, roasted brussels sprouts, roasted sweet potatoes, local apples, raw walnuts, organic mesclun, chopped romaine, cranberry maple vinaigrette). It was delicious. I like the mix of savory and sweet and the brussels sprouts were roasted perfectly. Only downfall is that they only have a tea or water station. I tried all their teas and I'm just not a fan. Either go for the water option or bring your own drink. read more

This is the worst sweet green that I have ever been to (and I am a frequent visitor.) The staff does not understand English, but more importantly messed up my Mexican corn bowl TWICE. The restaurant was empty and it was not busy or loud at all so I am not sure how you can mess up a menu item. They eventually had to ask two other staff members who spoke a little better English to help translate THEIR menu items! Not only that but the chicken tasted off and I got sick one hour later after. I didn't know that could be possible with a salad bowl, but alas my stomach disagrees! I furthermore reached out to sweet green to provide feedback of my experience (rather than give them a poor review because I was hoping it was a one time mistake), and received no response or explanation. I'm hoping that sweetgreen is not losing sight of their values of quality food, or customers opinions as they continue to expand.. what a shame. read more

I do love Sweetgreen! This location only gets 3-stars because of it's slow service every time I go (other Sweetgreens get 4 stars from me). I don't know why this one seems to be slower than every other Sweetgreen, but once they get their process fixed, I'll be a happy customer. They were out of the chicken (that I love) so they let me sub for another hot entree with no charge. It was great and good customer service, but they acted like they were doing me a huge favor and that I should be grateful - even though they were the ones out of a staple ingredient. Otherwise - Sweetgreen has good, fresh ingredients and is very customizable. I will never never never enjoy that they do not take cash - it's pretty inconvenient and Massachusetts ruled it was illegal since cash is legal tender. Hopefully every store, not just those in MA, will start taking cash. Long story short, Sweetgreen all around is great - this location is slow - and I carry cash and just wanna pay in cash. read more

I generally really enjoy sweetgreen, but the quality at this location is inconsistent. Sometimes the salad comes out fine, while other times the salad is much more sparse than usual or an ingredient is off. Most recently, I had a salad in which the chicken had been overcooked until it was hard as a rock- not something you would expect from a $12 salad. That being said, all the employees I've interacted with have been fine, and even though the line gets crazy around lunch time it moves pretty fast. I only have a 40 minute lunch break. I simply ordered to the wrong location and IMMEDIATELY contacted them to cancel and send the order to the correct location. They refused and said they cannot cancel or edit orders once they made... Literally yes you can. I even said they could just refund me since it had already taken up so much of my time. Not only was I not able to speak to an actual representative but they have the worst customer service by making you text.... I kept asking them to have a supervisor contact me and they refused and just added credit to my account. I will NEVER spend money at a place that inconveniences they customers so much. So what is the point of adding credit? They basically robbed me of my money and wouldn't work with me and I didn't get to eat any lunch because I spent my whole break texting some idiots at sweet green trying to get help. Always a hit! Got the OMG omega salad and added some nuts and lemon juice. SO good. I personally always sub my dressing for the tahini yogurt dressing. 10/10! I also love their Mezze bowl and beets don't kale my vibe. I'm a water person and usually don't like any kind of sweet drinks with my food BUT their matcha Fresca is so yummy and refreshing. My favorites are the harvest bowl and guacamole greens, but I have never tried a salad I didn't like there. The price is a bit much for a salad place but I usually stop by at least once a week for healthy, filling meal that I know is made fresh and with local ingredients! The guy making my salad either hated his job, life or me... it actually made me feel bad for being there... When staff are unhappy it makes me question other things like are they doing their job properly when it comes to cleaning bc they clearly don't care about the customer so they probably don't care about other important health aspects. Listen, I love sweetgreen. I always boast whenever I'm at college (in Boston, where there are several other sg locations) that I'm from the area where sweetgreen originated. But IMO, I think the company needs to slow down its franchising and focus on making sure each location serves top quality food and customer service. This review is for THIS sweetgreen only, and not for other (and better) locations in Georgetown, Ballston, etc. Yes, this sweetgreen is always packed with the Clarendon lunch rush and yes, I can sympathize that it's probably really stressful to work here. But the employees always seem to hate their lives whenever I'm in here. It's to the point where I feel bad telling them my order, because I feel like I don't want to bother them. Not only that, but the reason I'm writing this review is after the bowl I had today. The brocolli topping I had was all stems - maybe that's a new trend, so I'm not thattt mad about it, the cilantro was not trimmed at all and I also got mostly stems, they were out of one dressing and I barely got any of the premium topping (tofu) that I also got. Again, maybe take a little extra time in the morning prepping the items. Lastly? The app says they don't do online ordering. :( read more
