I've had a few things off the menu, and I've been impressed by absolutely everything! The herb seasoned fries are delicious and crispy, and the oat shakes are to die for. The burgers are pretty good, but I think the chicken sandwich is where it's at. My only complaint is that the sandwiches could be a little bigger. $10.99 is a little pricey given that it is so small. I am not vegan but I love these burgers. We tried the double cheeseburger and spicy crispy chicken burger. Both were excellent. I like the spicy crispy chicken a little bit more because the sauce was so good and the chicken was extra crunchy the way it should be. I could not tell they were not real meat. I'll say this, the double cheeseburger looked and tasted as close to a real beef burger as I've ever tried. The regular fries had a very nice and unique crunchy texture. What I couldn't get over was the price. There is not value here. A dbl cheeseburger, large fries, and small drink was $24 (plus the ubiquitous tip request). That's really not sustainable, IMHO. She cares more about her phone than attempting to help people. The other guy is nowhere to be found - hanging out in the bathroom for LONG periods and can't ring up an order properly. Also, good luck ordering through the app, because if you can't, you're SOL getting an order from this place! Awful awful awful! Second Edit: No response from management on the company despite sending three emails to corporate and two to Jonah. They really don't care. No response to the private message either. Your business is in a high-end, very expensive grocery chain. One fast food meal from your establishment costs the same as a sit-down restaurant meal in DC. I've been to this PLNT Burger several times and I've never been disappointed! My favorite items are the BBQ and Mushroom Burger, the Chkn Nuggets and the sweet potato fries. I always get my burger on the Swiss Chard wrap because I'm on a weight loss journey and since I'm always going to get the sweet potato fries with spicy dust with BBQ sauce on the side I skip the bun! Would I mistake this for chicken? No, but I'd definitely eat it again. I loved the texture of the mushroom (chicken) patty and the sauce on it was so tasty. The bun was perfect for it and the sweet potatoes fries were fat but cooked well. Got the Berry drink to round out my meal and it was delish. At first, I was confused where this spot was located. It is inside the Whole Foods on Duke. We parked in the Whole Foods parking garage and took the stairs up to the main floor and found them on the back wall of the Whole Foods. I was pretty impressed with the mushroom bbq bacon burger I got. It was a plant based patty with caramelized onions, plant based cheddar, mushroom bacon, BBQ sauce and crispy onion petals. The flavor was good and I liked how well the vegan cheese melted. The crispy herb fries with the spicy aioli sauce were great sides. I was quite surprised considering I've had many beyond meat burgers but the toppings provided a great twist and taste. I ordered through plant Burger on Grubhub, I ordered the kids meal with the grilled cheese french fries, 6pcchicken nuggets, I ordered a bunch of dips with it... but I only received one of the dips that I ordered which was good. But they did provide a lot of mustard &ketchup, but I was looking forward to trying all the different dips, but did not receive it, but overall I really liked the grilled cheese (first time I've ordered that in a while since a kiddo lol) and the French fries were very flavourful, and I enjoyed the chicken nuggets good texture, and I also got a drink along with the meal which was a mandarin cardamom, also good not too sweet. I've been a regular at this place for a while, but lately, I've been really disappointed. They've been out of vanilla vegan milkshake for what feels like weeks now. Is my favorite item on their menu and it's frustrating that every time I come in, I'm met with the same response: "Sorry, we're still out of vanilla." Everything here is plant based, I'm not a vegetarian but I am sure this is great for people who choose not to eat meat. The flavor and texture of the burger are more reminiscent of chili than a burger in my opinion but not bad, just different. There is also a sweetness to everything that is unexpected, I'm guessing this is part of the sauce they use to replicate the smoky beef flavor. I take out from PLNT Burger at least once a week and really appreciate what they're doing. The food is fantastic (especially recommend the Mushroom BBQ Bacon Burger and the Steakhouse Burger), the prices are reasonable, and the app makes ordering very convenient. Plus if you have an account, they offer discounts on certain items almost every day. Not to mention that eating vegan is healthy and good for the planet! My only small critique is that their signature dipping sauces come in really tiny 1-inch cups and aren't big enough for a regular size herb fries (which are really good!). read more
