The wok hei for the mu shu pork was not good; too greasy and again, the ingredients were really inadequate (way too many onions, zero cabbage, scant protein). The hoisin sauce clearly came out of a bottle (way too sweet and flat) and here's the death blow - thick flour tortillas, not those thin Mandarin pancakes. I mean, the thinness of the pancake is the whole point - it is NOT a "Chinese burrito" (a phrase that is an insult to burritos, mind you). The last dish was ma po tofu. For me, a good ma po tofu is all about flavor balance - do you understand between straight up heat from the chili and the numbing of Sichuan peppercorns? They do not understand, this was so overwhelmingly peppercorn that it seemed pretty apparent that someone just equated "hot" with peppercorn and then added chili oil. Again, scant protein. What if today's service was lousy? It's no longer a tip, but a service charge. The biggest problem is not informing customers in advance. Maybe illegal? Well, IYKYK.
