The Jasmine/Yuzu and Orange Poppy chiffon cakes are my favorite ones to date! The Black Tea is a close second. The cakes here are also toddler-friendly and not too sweet which is so appreciated. Service is excellent as always!!!

I loved this spot enough to come back here! My girlfriend and I placed an order on their website for some items. We went to pick it up after trying Aroma Craft next door. This was a great dessert for a post lunch. We went around 12:30 PM and the store wasn't busy. They have free WiFi here and we were able to enjoy our time while doing work. The staff were very friendly and even gave out some samples. We got some drinks, an orange poppy chiffon cake, and a hojicha basque cheesecake to try. I personally got the hojicha cold foam cafe latte and really enjoyed it! Both the chiffon and basque cheesecake were also really delicious and not too sweet. The chiffon cake leaned towards being a refreshing flavor, while the basque cheesecake had a vibrant hojicha flavor that I loved! Sweets by Aroma is a great spot to grab some desserts and perfect to do work. Definitely will come back again!

    Coco cloud & Coco matcha

I have been hearing about dessert from here for a while now, and today decided to check in with my girlfriend. I initially thought that I was ordering my cloud when I actually order Cocoa Matcha, which is on the right. I think I would like my cloud better since I like the cream of the Macha compared to Coco Macha, which is just mature on top of coconut juice. It's not sweet, I personally would like it sweeter, but they did not ask me for sweetness level. We also ordered blueberry cheesecake and Matcha tiramisu, both are very good. I do love the fluff off blueberry cheesecake, which is very soft and fluffy, instead of very thick then cheesecake like normal cheese cheesecake. I think I'll be back for their pies, and matcha cloud!

These are some of the best tarts I ever had. Me and my bf decided to get some sweet treats after our brunch, and the tarts selection is really tasty. Sweet Potato Tart 10/10 Really good sweet potato that is perfectly sweet and delicious. Slightly nutty but goes well with the crust! Ube tart 8/10 You can definitely taste the ube but it wasn't enough. Really good though! Taro tart 8/10 This is really good for Taro lovers! Not too sweet and has a good balance of nutty and starchy flavor. Friendly staff and our order came out pretty quickly. Very cute interior with seating and they also have merch as well. Parking is in a plaza along with other restaurants so easy to park. Coming back to try their cakes!

Sweets by Aroma Craft is just a few stores down from its original store, named Aroma Craft. The difference is Sweets has a brighter ambiance, more chill vibe, more elegant and focuses more on teas and sweets, as opposed to Aroma that focuses on coffee and a more savory menu. The interior is tastefully decorated and very calming. There are some seating against the right wall, and a few bistro tables outside. The music is mild and relaxing. The hallways to the restroom have their merchandise displayed in a very tasteful way, almost like a boutique store. Their sweet pastries and desserts all look like they've been prepared with care and patience. We were very full before coming in, so we just tried their mini tarts, which are sold in a box of 3's. Though they look very unique and be great to give as a gift as the piping made them look like flower pedals, the flavors were very subtle and too mild. Maybe these tarts pair well with tea, but as a coffee drinker, I wanted more flavors to come from the crust and the fillings. The service from the young gal was excellent and matched the ambiance well. I feel the owners really paid attention to the full experience, from when you walk in, the sight, sound and interaction with the staff. I just didn't love the pastries we got. Pastries : 3/5 Everything else: 5/5

Sweets by Aroma Craft is my favorite study spot in Walnut. I stop by on a weekly basis to either order a pick me up caffeinated drink in the morning, or a warm and uncaffinated soothe your soul drink in the afternoon. The staff/baristas are always so kind and friendly--they've memorized our orders and always make us feel welcome, even when we're on our depressed study grind (shout out to Ken, Jamie/Jali, and Mia). I've had the opportunity to try basically all their desserts now and several drinks. My favorites are probably the matcha tiramisu and the chiffon cakes, with the former being sweeter than the latter. On average, their flavors are light, fluffy, and not too sweet as compared to other stores. My favorite drinks are probably the matcha and hojicha latte with oat milk when I need some caffeine, and winter melon lemonade or brown sugar oat milk (no espresso/off menu) when I don't want anything caffeinated. They also often offer samples of their baked goods, so definitely give them a try to find your favorite! This summer, one of their staff, Mia, is also hosting several crochet night events if you're interested in the relaxed vibes and spending time in and with community. The storefront itself is brightly lit with several plugs. But the tables are minimal so if there's a lot of people you might be out of seating indoors. They play music but it's not overbearing at all. If you're planning on studying and get hungry, you can also order at their sister store two doors down and have them deliver to the bakery itself.

Gorgeous looking cakes outside the usual Asian bakeries you find around Rowland hts, however, be prepared to pay the $18 for it. It would be great for a single serving or maybe a celebration for a couple, but not big enough for sharing with a group. The packaging is beautiful and they also have Happy Birthday signs with a candle if requested. They offer samples of the teas as well. Just ask for it. The cake flavors were super light. Although the cake was moist and very pretty, the subtle flavors made it not worth the price.

I ordered some mini tarts for my mom for Mother's Day and she left some for me to try. She got 3 minit tarts: ube, taro, and sweet potato. We both agreed that the sweet potato lacked texture and the flavor was very minimal. Taro and ube, on the other hand, were delicious. We could see ourselves ordering the larger version of those in the future. The packaging is adorable and the desserts came in a very nice reusable bag. We used the kiosk to order and took it to go but there's a good amount of seating inside and outside to hang out or do work.

Such a cute shop that offers drinks & desserts. Although the flavors of their cakes are a little different then what i'm used to - they are very pretty. It is a little pricey but I understand the work that goes in to making it & the ingredients. I tried the wintermelon lemonade and it was so good. Very refreshing. The matcha coco was okay, i didn't really taste much matcha since the coconut water was very overpowering. They have merch, other desserts, a plant wall & it just seems like a great place to hang out with friends or go do some work

I have mixed feelings. I feel the prices were a little steep, yet also reasonable. Wasn't a fan of the premium Matcha Latte (lacked strong matcha flavor), but LOVED the Wintermelon Lemonade. The place is super cute though! And service was great. Lots of seating. Black Tea Chiffon Cake - 5/10 Sweet Potato Tart - 6/10 Ube Tart - 4/10 Dark Chocolate Tart - 8/10 Matcha Latte - 6/10 Wintermelon Lemonade - 10/10

cute lil cafe and sweets shop! the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. i'm a matcha fan so i had to get all matcha related sweets matcha chiffon cake: sooo good!! it's not overly sweet which i love. i really like the matcha frosting on top as it adds to the overall matcha flavor. the cake is super soft and spongy. coco matcha cloud: can never go wrong with a refreshing coconut water with matcha foam. they also have a version of a matcha shot instead of the foam which is a great addition. matcha strawberry lemonade: another refreshing drink, tho it was a little bit more sour than i expected. i still enjoyed it since i haven't since this combo at other cafes before! osmanthus oolong tea: derrick was super nice and explained their tea selection and also let us have samples that we ended up getting one! the packaging is super cute too. the cakes here are gorgeous and their specialty, i would def stop by again for the cakes and wanna try their wintermelon lemonade next!

I absolutely love it here! The moment I walk in I get amazing Service from the people working there. Very engaging, polite, and helpful. The treats are a nice crumble of flavor. (Matcha biscuits) For a super hot weather I enjoyed a sweet refreshing Strawberry Matcha. The aesthetic was very bright and cutesy with cute little plants down the hallway. Then a couple of small trinkets to purchase to take home. Very affordable as well!!

At first glance, the store was simple and nice. The atmosphere was relaxing and not too crowded for a Sunday afternoon. The store also had a small merchandise area in the hallway toward the bathroom. There were a lot of artisanal crafts for purchase that looked very aesthetic and unique! The cakes and pastries were enjoyable. My friend and I got the strawberry chiffon cake, the black tea chiffon cake, the creme brulee egg tart, and the coffee egg tart. The strawberry chiffon cake was very soft and delicious. There was a strong strawberry taste with some sort of strawberry preserve on the bottom of the cake. The cake itself was not too sweet so the strawberries added the perfect amount of sweetness. Unfortunately, the black tea chiffon cake was not as enjoyable. The outside of the cake was dry and the black tea taste was not that pronounced. I enjoyed eating the figs on top of the cake, but the cake itself was unremarkable. The egg tarts were tasty, especially when toasted. The fillings in both egg tarts were a little more firm that I liked, but the flavor in both were distinct and enjoyable. Overall, the cakes and pastries were great, and I will definitely be returning again to try their other desserts.

There were only a handful of tables, and almost all of them were occupied when we arrived. Everything we tried was amazing. The hot dog roll was crispy, savory, and super satisfying. The ham and cheese pastry was also incredibly crispy with that buttery flaky texture. My favorite pastry was probably the strawberry lemon creme croissant: fruity, bright, and packed with flavor without being overly sweet, which I really appreciated. For drinks, the Korean plum gochu lemonade was unexpectedly addictive. It was refreshing and citrusy with subtle hints of spice that made every sip interesting. Overall, a great spot to grab pastries and drinks while taking a break from shopping. Definitely coming back to try more items.

My first bite was very dry and I wasn't sure what I was tasting. It didn't taste like crab for sure, so I had a second bite. It was bad. I asked one of the workers if I could switch it out with anything, she said she'll ask the manager. The assistant manager came and told me that she cannot swap it out and that I should have read in the description that it's only imitation crab meat. Ok, I can own that, I could have read the fine print. But it wasn't just the taste, it was also the texture, the over fried dried dough... I really wish that she could have been more understanding and more accommodating. It's only a bakery item and not a prime rib dinner. Not only the crab croquette left a bad taste, the lack of service and courtesy also left a bad taste.

I thought, what about a sweet potato cake. Found two Korean bakers that had sweet potato cakes on the menu. It was kismet this bakery was just down the street from a restaurant we chose for his birthday dinner. I called and the owners took down my name and the fact I'll be there around 7 at night. Didn't even take down payment info or number. I got there a little after 7 & saw they had sweet potato cakes left. Reasonably priced too! $40 for larger and $30 for smaller. I thought $30 would work for just 4 of us but for $10 extra, my partner thought we should splurge. The owner remembered me from the phone call and addressed me by name. While his wife was ringing me up, her husband came up to me with a bag of bread to throw in. That was so sweet. With their service, variety and price point, we'll be back. The cake was delicious too.
