Sweetwaters does strong coffee. Like Vietnamese coffee strong; which you can get here, it's legit, and you're gonna feel it! It's bold and that's not a bad thing but if you're in the mood for a sweeter drink then ask for an extra pump of sweetener and cream to balance it out because even something like the creme caramel is quite coffee-forward. I don't think any other place in Frisco that I've been to comes close, so it stands out in that respect. Some of their other strong points are a good selection of food items and a nice hangout space with a good amount of seating. They also have a drive-through which is not at once obvious from the street. The service is pretty standard. read more

Absolutely love having this awesome coffee shop at the entrance to our subdivision! It's so nice to have something like this within walking distance, and although it is a chain it really doesn't feel like one. My daughter and I love their drinks and their food, and often try their seasonal drinks when they come out. It's also awesome that they have local art for sale on the walls, it's all way out of my price range but it's something we enjoy looking at each time we go. The staff is always sweet and happy to answer questions and help you out, and you can either go inside or do the drive-thru. I definitely recommend it! read more

The chai was so poor in Flavor , pretty disappointing, and got one pastry different if requested, but since I didn't mind much about it, to try something different but was supper soggy and like 2 day old reheated bread texture. This place is way better than Starbucks. We have had several drinks cold and hot and they have been tasty and made just like we ordered them. Their pastries are pretty decent. And their bagel breakfast sandwiches are delish! You can stay and sit on a table or couches or order to go/drive through. The place inside looks pretty neat with some cool art. The service is fine. 2024 Yelp 100 Challenge - #39 Visited this location often through the drive thru. Service is fast and staff is friendly. Ordered a breakfast croissant sandwich with sausage and cheese, and their version of an iced caramel macchiato. Both were delicious and I would order again. Menu has several items to choose from. This is supposed to be my Crème Caramel and it tasted like oat milk. Perhaps the barista was not paying attention. I called Wednesday and they took my name and number and no one has called and it is now Friday. This is my favorite coffee spot and go there weekly sometimes more. I would have let this slide but no call back is not acceptable. Do better. read more

Went in Saturday morning to get some drinks between kids games. The drinks were good and as expected for a boutique coffee shop. The staff was friendly, but the service was so slow that it took almost 15 minutes to get our drinks and we were trying to get back to the park ... someone mentioned they were doing training, but it was still exceptionally slow. read more

Really friendly staff, and not too busy in case you want to stop by to take a call or work. I recommend the straight up cold brew and one of their sandwiches (delicious)! We were looking for breakfast at 6am on Uber eats and came across Sweetwaters. We ordered the egg, cheese, and bacon bagel and biscuit and both were satisfying. The highlight of our order were the drinks. The matcha ice dragon with soy milk is now a favorite! Also our two dogs loved their pup cups! Will definitely be ordering from here again. read more

May 16, 2022 Today I found another new Sweetwaters, this has been open since February of 2022 in Frisco, Texas. Located in the equally new "Shops At Creekside" outdoor shopping mall, a little south of Panther Creek Pkwy, on the east side of Preston Road. For now, only a Domino's Pizza also resides here, with sites for 4 more businesses. The franchise owners/managers of this Sweetwaters joined recent expansion accross North Texas, along with Panther Creek near Little Elm, another in Craig's Ranch near McKinney, and a brand new Murphy, Texas location. This new Frisco, Tx location has drive-thru service, patio tables with umbrellas, and a very nice interior with variety of seating. The entrance is much like a living room, and then the pastry display case will catch your eye! The wall art, a common theme in Sweetwaters, adds to the ambiance. Staff is enegetic and engaging. You feel welcome here, and first impressions always set the mood. I'm still a bit new to the Sweetwaters menu, which has a big variety of drinks, as well as food & desserts. I needed nutrition. The Mixed Berries Parfait was my choice, the all-dark berries in their juice, plus yogurt & light granola was delicious. My drink was an Ice Dragon Mocha 20oz prepared very nice with syrup on inside of the cup. Good-tasting! This brand-new Sweetwaters needs help breaking-in all the new furniture. In the beginning of opening they were a little slow (as to be expected when working out starting kinks) but wow, they got up and running fast! We love coming here! As with any place that opens, it can sometimes take new staff a while to get the hang of things, especially when young. Pack a little patience in the event you are met with someone new to the job and remember everyone is trying their best to give you a great experience. I am so appreciative of their GF offerings- SO much better than Starbucks. Drink menu is diverse and we've enjoyed everything we've tried so far. The staff are courteous, and we are always warmly greeted inside. It has the makings of the kind of small town coffee shop environment I miss from my home town with modern and healthy offerings. I think the owner/manager has that people charm that just makes everyone feel welcome. My only suggestion is that they have a kid option to drink or two- juices or small caffeine-free drinks like lemonade for the littles. read more

I get that this place is new but there definitely needs to be more training. I've been to other Sweetwaters locations in different states and this one absolutely does not compare. The service is ridiculously slow and the coffee was not good. I got the dirty cold brew which is something I have gotten many times before and the drink was super acidic and burnt tasting and had no other flavor. I'm hoping that as this team gets more training they will improve. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! I went through the drive-through to get a coffee and the person asked me THREE times what my name was and I gave her my name each time. I gave my order, but she asked AGAIN what my name was and I said it hadn't changed since the last 3 times and I gave her my name AGAIN. Then some male came on the speaker and said, "You can leave." I asked, "what?" and he said, "you need to leave." Seriously? THEY fail at service and I need to leave? I've been in the store once before and it was filthy. I'd bought a pastry last time and the employee licked their fingers after giving me the pastry; I put the pastry in the trash on the way out. I stopped by this time at the drive-through because I figured they couldn't mess up a coffee; I was wrong. I pass by here every day and there are almost never any customers. If they are making money, it sure isn't through coffee and food and the employees are very poorly trained and unsanitary. read more

I was so excited to have a Sweetwaters practically two minutes from my home. I normally go to the one on Custer when I'm in that area. I am really disappointed with the service, and the drinks are always inconsistent at the Preston location. The Custer location seems to have a better grasp on their recipes. Yesterday I went around 6:10pm to grab a matcha and a vanilla steamer for my daughter. The matcha was watery, and the steamer basically was milk with water and no sweetener or vanilla. My daughter took two sips and declared it too gross to finish. I thought she was exaggerating and tried a taste, she was right. The matcha was only slightly better. I paid $10 for two drinks we didn't finish. This is not the first time this has happened, my husband refuses to order here anymore. I hate to say, but I'm done throwing my money away at this location. Oh, and I sat in the lobby for 8 minutes before I went to the register and asked where my app order was. It clearly said "register" but they had it at the drive through. If they would've spoke to me, they could've found out what I was there for. It wasn't busy at all so that should've been easy to do. Please work on drink quality and customer service, no one likes wasting hard earned money. read more
