    Pastrami special with Brunswick Stew

We were greeted with a friendly smile consistent with the Culture I expected. I had the Pastrami " Special " and it was very flavorful ". My wife had the Smoked Turkey and enjoyed it immensely. Portions are fair for the price and we took some home. Anthony has surrounded himself with caring people serving exceptional meals in a welcoming atmosphere. I have been to two locations and the spirit is present in both!

Visited and sat outside on a beautiful Friday. Service was prompt and good. I ordered the brisket with corn pudding & hash & rice for sides. My brisket came out cold, less than room temperature. I don't like sending food back, but since it wasn't even warm, I had to. Our server was very nice about it and brought back and new plate. Everything was tasty. My friend ordered the ribs with collards and potato salad. This was his 1st time at the restaurant. There was a lot of the stems, but he liked the collards. He wasn't impressed with the potato salad, but liked the ribs.

Stopped in tonight for the meat and three Monday night special and was blown away! Tonight's special was fried turkey, along with your choice of three sides. The turkey was cooked perfectly, tender and juicy on the inside, with a nice breaded crunch from the fryer on the outside. Paired with their white gravy! Chefs kiss! Every time I have been to Swig, the food, drinks, and service have always been top notch, a hidden gem in Charleston for wings, the peanut butter jelly wings will blow your mind! If you are looking for a consistently good meal, with nightly specials that don't break the bank, be sure to add swig and swine to your list!

The O.G. Swig and Swine in West Ashley is a warm and welcoming place that really gives you that neighborhood feel. People here know each other by name, and friends and families come here to relax, unwind and chow down on some great Carolina BBQ. We decided to try some cocktails so my wife, loving spicy drinks tried their Habanero Margarita which I will say as a pro-tip to make sure you stir it thoroughly, so you get that great spicy taste throughout. I went with the Sweet Tea Mojito which was nice and bubbly with the added soda. We ordered twelve wings, mostly to take home for later and of course were totally satisfied. My wife's favorite is the Hot Honey & Blue with sticky and spicy honey with big chunks of blue cheese all over them. My favorite are the garlic buffalo with its bold and spicy flavor that packs a serious heat kick. All their wings are big, plump and juicy and trust me you will not be needing any blue cheese or ranch for dipping, and the smoky flavors stand on their own. My wife ordered the rib platter which comes with two sides, so she chose mac and cheese and baked potato salad. The ribs were wonderfully sauced and meaty. The mac and cheese were very cheesy and unique as they used long penne type noodles over macaroni. The potato salad was nicely loaded with potato in a very creamy sauce. I had to get the three-meat platter, and I chose pulled pork, brisket, and pork belly which also came with two sides, I chose Brunswick stew and corn pudding. The meats were all cooked perfectly but what really blew me away was the pork belly! It was so tender and not the least bit fatty. It almost had the texture of brisket. For the sides the Brunswick stew it was bold with a warming spice level and the corn pudding was loaded with corn providing a sweet reprieve from all the savory. I am enclosing some picture of their specials that are some really great money savers. All in all, a great place to kick back and enjoy some classic BBQ!

Such a wonderful experience. All the food was delicious and our server, Milli, tied the experience together by providing a friendly face with incredible service!! Would 100% go back again!

I saw the Tuesday Special $12 sandwiches on Facebook and decided to try it out. I decided to dine in and was seated immediately. I ordered the Chopped Beef Brisket with potato salad. The sandwich was huge enough to share. The brisket was tender and juicy I dipped my sandwich in Alabama Sauce(banging) and the sweet Red(not to tangy but just the right sweetness). Don't forget to try the pickled pickle on onions on the side. The potato salad complimented the sandwich and was delicious. Restaurant made me feel welcomed with country music playing and Marissa who was my server was friendly and checked in on me often. I will definitely be back to try their chicken and Smashed Burger and other side dishes

From someone who has lived in Dallas Texas for six years and has gotten real familiar with barbecue places, this spot definitely peaked my interest. My friends ordered the two meat plates and I tried therefore side plate. I personally enjoyed the greens, my colleagues really enjoyed the meat and was it pressed by the rub/seasoning Our server restored in who is friendly and had a good recommendation for us .

One of the best bbq joints I've had the pleasure of experiencing, and a must if you're in the Charleston area. Everything was delicious and moist, and I keep dreaming of the hash & rice side. Don't sleep on trying the smoked chicken wings but make sure to share and leave room for the stars of the show - the meats!

Lunch was wonderful. Staff pleasant and on point with all needs. It was Sausage Saturday so you gotta have the Sausage!! He had the Hawg Dawg. (Sp?) and beans with brisket. The sausage was a good mix flavor then add all the other toppings!! Wow !!! I had the Big Nasty... and while it was big and messy, it was delicious!! I would definitely have it again. I had the hash and rice as my side.. this is the way hash and rice is supposed to be!!! I ordered a side of pork skins to try all the BBQ sauces.. my favorite was the jalapeno and the vinegar. There was also the white. A good mayonnaise base sauce, classic mustard, a southern tradition and sweet red, a base sauce. All were very good. As you can see in my photos, there was nothing left, so you can tell it was worth the money. The special Hawg Dawg meal $16 The Big Nasty meal $17.25 Sweet tea $3.50 Side of pork rinds $3

I've eared at the Summerville location before, about a year ago. Stopped in here with my two younger kids. We started with fried pickles, and I was absolutely delighted that they weren't the frozen ones served everywhere else, but like a deli pickle sliced and hand breaded. Different and good! I had the smoked brisket plate with hash & rice and vinegar slaw. My son had grilled cheese and potato salad, my daughter had the fried chicken sandwich with mac & cheese. The chicken sandwich looked great but she didn't care for the hot honey on it, but said it was great otherwise. My son loved his grilled cheese but thought the potato salad would be something else for some reason. My brisket was good and I liked the sauce options. Only place in the area with a standard Carolina gold sauce. The hash was actually a bit spicy and I liked it, the slaw was vinegary and sweet. All was good to me and I felt the price was very fair for the Charleston area. Kids liked the banana pudding. Only problem I had was the service. It was great at first, but as a few more tables showed up, I feel my server got overwhelmed because we saw a lot less of her and she juggled other tables. It took a while to get the tables cleared and desserts ordered. Weird thing too, the parking lot is FAR too tight. I struggled to get my car into the back. And right after I did, someone hit another car. This parking lot needs to be 2 feet wider to be safe to drive in! All the same, good food, closest to standard SC BBQ experience in the area. J.Ja

Meat was considerably better than Lewis. Sides weren't as good as Lewis. Pork Puppies were the best hush puppies we had in SC. Four adults all agreed on this. The family platter was a great deal to try all the meats. Again, four adults with a few little picking at it and everyone left full. The sauces were all very flavorful. Will come back here again for the hush puppies if nothing else.

Charleston does bbq? This is news to me! Swig and swine is one of the more popular bbq spots in the city. Given the fact that I tend to feel Charleston does most food justice, I pause my "keep bbq in Texas" campaign to give it a try. Swig and Swine offers all the bbq classics and sides in a spacious, vibrant setting. Ribs, pulled pork, smoked wings, just to name a few. Service is attentive and the food comes out super quick. Off to a good start! The food itself? Let's start with the good.....that smoked pork belly. Absolutely Devine! Fatty melty goodness. Im a pork belly lover, and In all of my years, I've never ran into a smoked pork belly. One of the most satisfying cuts of meat I've ever had. Unfortunately it goes downhill from here. Baked beans, undercooked and a little too sweet. The grits were served lukewarm warm and tightened up after only a few minutes. And the brisket? The biggest disappointment of the meal. Thick cut, tough, no fat, no distinctive flavor beyond the smoke ring. Sadly one of the worst briskets ive ever had. Swig and Swine left much to be desired. But the smoked pork belly definitely steals the show and makes this a worthwhile trip. I still love you Charleston !

It felt cozy without being stuffy and was a great spot for people-watching. The cocktails were well made and balanced, and we got lucky enough to snag a table. The space is pretty small though, so by the time we arrived the bar was full and a lot of people were standing with drinks. Even so, the atmosphere was fun and energetic. Definitely a great spot for a nightcap if you're in the area.

From the moment I walked in, the vibe was intimate, beautiful, and the perfect setting for a relaxed Saturday night cap. What made the experience truly special was the bartender. There's no traditional menu, instead, he takes the time to learn what you like and crafts drinks based on your taste. I've never experienced anything like that before. The level of knowledge and creativity behind the bar was incredible. Every drink he made was stunning and tasted even better than it looked. I was honestly so impressed that I couldn't even remember all the ingredients he mentioned because I was too busy being amazed at how good everything was. It was one of those moments where you realize there are real levels to this craft. I walked in thinking I knew a thing or two about mixing drinks at home, and left with a whole new respect for the art of it. The atmosphere, the personal attention, and the quality of the cocktails made this place feel truly top tier. Huge shoutout to the bartender, easily a 15 out of 10. Cool, knowledgeable, and passionate about what he does. If you're looking for an intimate spot for date night or just want to experience thoughtfully crafted cocktails in a beautiful setting, the Annex is the place. I will absolutely be back as soon as possible.
