Before the appointment, we had agreed that since I already had the part they initially diagnosed as the problem, I would only be charged their hourly rate. What wasn't disclosed upfront was that the rate is $100 per hour. I was prepared to pay that once I learned it, but when I received a $375 bill for roughly two hours of work, I requested a breakdown. Only then did I learn about the added $175 for the two unapproved gaskets.
