I had him find me a similar vacuum to what I had and he put it aside for me. I told him I would be there at 11am on the dot today to pick it up. Doors were open, staff was ready and I got my vacuum. Then come to find out that they give the manufacturer a half inch buffer. Would have LOVED to know that detail. Or possibly have someone come out and measure it before I blew almost 1K. Ive sent pictures, only one corner is actually covered. After repeated calls and emails expressing my displeasure, they have ghosted me, took the cash and are obviously done with me. I have banned my family and future generations from going there. FYI - could have gotten a cover off Amazon for half the cost and guess what? If it didn't fit, they would've taken it back.

The pool was supposed to be finished by years end 2020 and it's still unfinished in November 2021. I have continued to make payments during 2021 in hopes the pool will be finished. I paid an additional 40k due to price increases and he once again promised it would be completed before winter 2021. Now material costs have risen once again. Daniel Kamide from Dana Pools is asking for even more money to finish the project that was supposed to be completed in 2020. His new projected completion date is mid 2022. Waiting another winter for them to finish the pool will lead to further damage, possible wall collapse and just a complete waste of time money. The pool has cracks all over which they tried to repair saying a pool liner would solve the issue. I hired another pool company to inspect, and they were shocked to see this type of damage on a new install. They said a pool liner would only last a little while before further cracks appear and cause major issues. The last straw was after the installation of the pumps and equipment. I was notified that Daniel Kamide returned after installing the pumps and started to disconnect everything. He attempted to steal the pumps and equipment he installed a few days earlier. We immediately contacted the Lake Forest police department and luckily, they arrived just before he left. We have begun to peruse legal action against Dana Pools and hope no one else falls for their terrible work and shady practices

I called this morning and stated I would like to have it checked out before something goes really bad. I told the girl on the phone I could make the problem happen, just by turning the pool off and they would see it and hear the issue. I know they are busy we always have to wait a long time. I am not rude, just asking if it is safe to use because they won't look at it for two weeks. I am 7 miles from them and they said two weeks. During the process of building the pool, I had to wait days of ,well he's on vacation, or someone called in sick and so on. This could end up costing thousands to repair. (He uses zelle because you are not able to contest the fraud.) Red FLAG #2 The Zell account is not his. It belongs to his partner. RED FLAG #3. His words, "CASH IS KING." I completely understand the springtime appointments do fill up quickly. After getting my invoice, we agreed the opening date would be Sunday, May 18th. Red Flag #4 Well, the time of the appointment went by, and Nick never reached out saying he wasn't able to attend. I had a follow-up asking if he was still going to do repairs today. I asked when we could expect the reschedule. He stated the 25th. Once again zero communication. If you are running a business as a business owner, you have one job. Communicate with your clients. I requested a refund, and I was told this wasn't possible. I wish I had read the google and yelp reviews before having Pool Duck out and give him my money. When I did find them, the store looks nice on the outside. Inside it is very cluttered. They did test my water and I had a brief chat with the service advisor. I typically go to their location in Palatine and find that store more well laid out, cared for, and the associates seem to be more knoweldgeable.
