I contacted them on Monday and received my estimate and service on Wednesday! Initially Chris answered my call and referred me Larry, who took me thru their process. I sent photos of my repair need. He followed up to request the brand of my filter. Today, Wednesday, I received a call from Chris to schedule an appointment for this morning. Upon arrival he asked me to explain my issue and offered me info on what needed to be done. Within an hour, Chris had installed new piping and a Backwash valve. In addition, he offered tips on backwash schedules to keep the filter operating in good shape. Chris left the pool equipment area neat and clean. We have used this company before and been happy but not this time. We paid over $2000 for a new pool pump and some plumbing changes. We were told the pump was programmed and we didn't have to do anything. Since then the pool will not stay clean no matter what we do. I called them to come out and show me how to program the pump and make sure it was working. I was told it would be a $90 service call. When a large crack opened on my pool step, I called for Andy at Swimming Pool Service and Repair. We have used these folks in the past and were quite pleased. A family-owned company, they know what they are doing and it shows in the quality of their work. They don't try to up-sell you and easily answer my husband 's detailed questions to his satisfaction. Andy came out, looked at the situation and gave us an estimate we felt reasonable. We signed and returned the contract and gave them the requested deposit. While this company does great work, their communication skills leave a lot to be desired. I should not have to call multiple times after they have my money re the schedule. When they said they would be out to drain the pool the next morning, it became obvious that they had forgotten about us when they hadn't arrived and I called at 3.Their technician (Charlie) did a great job and cleaned up after himself. I'm hoping my frustrated comments to him about using the phone hit the mark with Andy as I actually got an unsolicited call before 8 the next day to see how the pool was filling. We are happy with the repair and how the pool now looks--brighter and sparkling. Chuck the Wonderdawg can now relax comfortably in the hot weather. We had our pool converted from rolled bonded beam (which was cracked and already failed a repair) to a flagstone cap. They were one of only three companies (out of literally DOZENS of requests) who even bothered to come out and give us a quote. Apparently, business is so good, that most places cannot be bothered with anything less than a full-blown reno. Andy came out, gave us by far the best price, and got us a quote in writing in a really timely manner. Some things came up and we had to put the pool repair on hold. Nearly a year later, we got back in touch and they honored the original quote. They did end up doing the conversion. They started and ended prior to the original estimated time, and the pool looks awesome. I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation. If you call and get Cindy, watch out. She can be as rude as anyone. She hung up on me twice. My wife and I have put an offer on a home that has been accepted by an absentee owner. However, there are problems with the pool heater. On the previous day another person at Swimming Pool Service and Repair told me if I had a letter from the owner they would send a person out to assess the situation. However, when the Realtor called SPS&R, Cindy answered and was rude to her, and told her that the owner had to call, a letter was unacceptable. When I called and asked if a Docusign letter would be acceptable, she rudely told me, "I've told you, only a phone call from the owner" was acceptable, and she hung up. I immediately called back and told her she had been rude and I was only trying to find a way to get the problem addressed. Again, she told me, "I've told you, only a phone call from the owner", and hung up. I highly recommend this company for their professionalism, integrity and work product. I had 3 other pool companies tell me they could not repair the rolled bond beams on my spool with a pebble tec finish, instead trying to upsell me on a total renovation. Pool supervisor Bert Blum visited and quickly told me it would not be a problem to repair and gave me a fairly accurate estimate of the job on the spot. It was only 1/4 to 1/3 the cost of a total renovation! Unfortunately, two cracks resulted on my 18 year old pvc pipes during the removal process of my old pebble tec. The first one was apparent and promptly fixed, but the second wasn't discovered until weeks after the project was finished. Technician Matt came out multiple times to diagnose and attempt to find the leak, always showing concern and wanting to make it right. Matt's work ethic and demeanor was much appreciated. Bert ultimately had to hire a leak detection company to find the leak, which Matt promptly repaired. Concrete and pebble tec were re-applied in a timely fashion to finish the project. Apparently they didn't want my business. 2/12/20 Andy, Aaron assessed the project on Tuesday, November 5. My email was checked daily afterwards for quotes - spam folder included! So maybe you shouldn't have guessed I didn't know how to check folders for incoming mail. I called your company once - I wasn't going to chase a quote. Fine job, completed expeditiously, questions answered and problems solved quickly. My 20+ year old pool was resurfaced in 2009 by one of those now-bankrupt companies recently in the news, with the result that calcium nodules -- looks like petrified bird crap -- began appearing all over the bottom of the pool. Yuck. I needed just resurfacing, not deck or waterline tile work so I got some recommendations and was steered to SPSR by the company a friend of mine used to do a full pool rebuild. Andy Good was the estimator, and later point of contact on the job. Andy spent nearly an hour with me going over what I wanted and needed, measuring, etc. He looked at the 6-year-old filter equipment and pronounced it OK; no high-pressure up-sell. I did need a new light fixture as my original was inoperable and full of water. Comparing bids, all the companies I contacted gave prices for multiple finishes and add-ons like step trim tile. SPSR was in the middle for a mini-pebble finish and offered a nice balance of a big enough family company to be confident of the job but not so big that I'd be buried in paperwork (one other bidder gave me a nice folder -- with 20 pages on financing!). We went with PebbleSheen™ with a color upgrade. Apparently today's plaster no longer uses asbestos(!) and isn't as durable. Brand-name PebbleSheen from PebbleTec is applied only by manufacturer-licensed contractors and has a 5 year warranty. It's more expensive than plaster, but we have no plans to move soon. NOTE: Not all "pebble" finishes are PebbleTec. The job took about a week to get started and about eight work days M-F to finish. There were a couple of schedule slips but Andy was regularly in touch by email, text, and phone. The crews were pros, in and out quickly. Gotta be a tough job to chip off old plaster in 110°-plus weather! They sawed the plaster beneath the existing waterline tiles, keeping them in place and saving me a bundle. I did have to supply an X10 switch to control the pool light as the original had failed, and the siphon on the auto filler line had to be replaced after restart, but both those are normal maintenance fixes. I was able to pick step trim tile online from one of their suppliers, and paid the deposit and balance (50/50) by credit card with a call to the office. I never had to go into their office throughout the entire process! A small discrepancy in the final invoice was quickly resolved by Andy and we finished the deal as smoothly as it began. Bottom line: I'm totally happy with the experience, my interaction with the company, and the result. Andy's a star and his company is too! read more

I signed a contract to put in new Pebble Sheen in to my brand new built pool. I sent them the drawings and they gave me a price. We said ok on 4-27-2020 and told me they will start the job on 5-6-2020. They sent someone out here to measure the pool on 5-4-2020 and on the next day they called and told me that my pool is NOT the same as the drawings and therefore they are going to have to charge me more money. So I'm thinking maybe $200-300 more we all make mistakes right? Well get ready they told be it WILL BE $1,985.43 more!!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING me?? This comes to me to be 100% out of line!! How in the hell can someone charge that much more less then 24 hours before they would have been here to start. Well it will be 100 plus ° the next few days and the last thing my wife does not want is to stop the pool of be ready. Well even she said are you KIDDING ME? Stay clean from any company that pulls this kind of crap!! FYI the company sound like a great place to do business with and has mix reviews like most places. This to me felt like extortion. Talked with my pool guy who did the drawings and he talked with him before I made this review and he said he does not understand what they are trying to do. Point is NO MATTER of what price they give to you it's BS until they come out to try to get more money from you. FYI I had the pool built as a do it yourself and this is how this makes no sense. 1) excavator charge per drawing no up charge 2) Metal company charged per drawing no up charge. 3) Shock Crete again no up charge and these people will charge more because they charge per truck. The guys showed up on the exact day they were supposed to several weeks later (right on schedule!) and drained the pool. They were there the next day and did the repairs. Then they were gone for 6 days and left everything here.... but no communication? They came back and did the other repairs I had asked for and filled it. Don M. came after that to start up the pool. Then Cody came and delivered salt and even cleaned up after. Don M. followed up a few days later and came by and tested everything and was super helpful (he really knows his stuff.) Overall, they did a really good job (Don M. especially.) Communication was less than ideal but they did the job, the repaired Pebbltec looks excellent (and it is hard to make this look good.) We had a persistent problem with our spa draining back into the pool. After seeing a Swimming Pool Service & Repair truck in our Sun Lakes community, and talking with their repairman, I decided to give them a call. It seemed that all of the local pool folks did a good job of pool cleaning, but had no experience in pool plumbing problem diagnosis and repair. I called, and Ashley answered. After discussion, she suggested I document my problem and send via email to her, and include pictures. I received an estimate via email. I then scheduled a visit. Andrew came, and IMMEDIATELY determined the problem. He had seen it several times before. He also repaired two valves, checked other parts, and relocated the pump to prevent future problems.
