Our number one requirement for fro-yo is fresh fruit and its shocking how hard that is to find! So many places are replacing it with boba and thats just lazy and unacceptable. This place has fresh strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and this last time they had bananas! I also love that they have hot fudge and keep PB hot so its easier to pump. This is a self-serve, pay-by-weight fro-yo place. You just grab a cup, dispense your fro-yo, add toppings if you want, then weigh and pay. This type of fro-yo shop is great for people who have fun and enjoy building their own frozen yogurt creations. June 2025- price per ounce: 79 cts/oz 79 cts per ounce is a fair price for a good quality product. I have reviewed 35-40 froyo shops in the SF Bay Region, and right now 79 cts is fair.* So how was the frozen yogurt? This is good fro-yo. There's only four machines, so the flavors are limited to what's most popular. I tried the pineapple, strawberry, and choco/vanilla swirl. Oh, I didn't use the froyo dividers. This is the first time I've seen these rare items. Next time I'll try one out. Overall, the fro-yo is very good. It's creamy, not too dense, not chalky and no weird after taste. The pineapple flavor was sweet from the added sugar. I didn't add any toppings. Most of the toppings are dry. I didn't see my favorite lychee jelly or jelly balls. The cashier was nice, and answered all my questions. I didn't see the price per ounce posted anywhere, so she had to look it up. I took my fro-yo to go. There's only a few tables inside, and several tables and chairs outside. Swirl Time is a nice place to get your frozen yogurt fix on a warm day. Absolutely the best frozen yogurt spot in Sonoma County! Swirl Time (or "Squirrel Time" as my youngest adorably calls it) has become our go-to treat stop. The staff is consistently warm and welcoming, and the selection of flavors never disappoints--there's always something new to try. I used to come here all of the time when I was a student at Sonoma State. I used to get a large cup of country vanilla with strawberries and rainbow sprinkles. A lot of the people who work there are other college students or alumnae. I'm lactose intolerant and while I froyo isn't lactose free, their frozen yogurt was a lot easier for me to digest than traditional ice cream. There aren't too many frozen yogurt shops in my area so this place is definitely something that I miss about living on campus since it's right across the street from the university. If you're in the area and looking for a sweet treat, I would highly suggest giving this place a try. They have so many great flavors and a nice toppings bar. You can also purchase their frozen yogurt by the pint. And if my memory serves me correctly, a few of their flavors are also available in the form of soft serve ice cream! read more

Best frozen yogurt! They have different varieties of flavors. You can always ask for sample cups to see which one you'd like more. My favorite is pineapple dole whip and original tart. At the end, you can also add any toppings you'd like. Pay by the weight. The staff is friendly and everything inside looks nice and clean. I have been going to this swirl time for around 12 years and have never been in and not purchased something. The other day I went in and ask for sample cups to try the new flavors the girl working asked very rudely if I was "actually gonna buy something." I still bought something that day but felt it was extremely rude and weird. I have never been asked that in all the times I've been there nor heard/seen anyone else be asked that. Awesome amount of toppings and a nice rotation of both fun and traditional flavors! I love that they will give you a couple of little sample cups if there's a flavor you want to try, too. In all my visits the front staff have always been kind and helpful, and they do an excellent job keeping the topping bar filled and clean. It can be a little bit on the pricier side (but nothing outrageous) as product is charged by weight, but it's TOTALLY worth it if you're needing to curb that froyo craving! read more

Love this place- lots of topping options. However, we stopped going here because it was just too expensive. Twice as much as other yogurt shops. The last three times we went it was $30 for three modest yogurts with almost no toppings. I feel like they are taking advantage of the college to have high prices. read more

The family and I love going here after a warm day. They have so many toppings to choose from we limit ourselves to 3 toppings or else we would have a little froyo and a ton of toppings. They have the staples Vanilla, Chocolate and a swirl of the two. They rotate other flavors in and out. Once in a while they have a pineapple "dole whip" one and if you've been to Disneyland all it's missing is the fresh pineapple juice. One of my regular and favorite yogurt places! They usually have about 10-12 yogurt options and always offer you sample cups to try the selection. The yogurt is consistently tasty and the selections good. They have more toppings than most yogurt places. They offer a selection of fresh fruit toppings (usually banana, straberries, and a few other berries), candy toppings, cookie toppings, cereals, nuts, and syrups (even hot fudge!). Most important thing about this yogurt shop is that they are the first ones to make my dreams come true in providing flavor separators! To the back right of the store where the self-serve bowls are, Swirl Time has sturdy dividers you can place inside your yogurt cups so that the flavors do not touch. It's genius really! Swirl Time carries a small variety of flavors that switch out every so often but always keeping the chocolate and vanilla options on hand. The consistency is usually creamy and dense and the flavors are always very sweet. I can't honestly say I've found a flavor that is "absolutely to die for" but the German Chocolate was pleasant and Watermelon was nice and tangy. Everything but check-out is self serve style, including the toppings options which is cool. They have a large variety of toppings including cereal flavors, birthday cake bites, boba, fruits, and tons of chocolate covered items. My favorite topping here is the chocolate dipped waffle cones. Oh, and speaking of which, they offer bowls, sugar and waffle cones for the froyo "base." Parking is plentiful, staff are very upbeat and kind, the color changing spoons are fun, and the rocking chairs outside are a great touch for warmer days/nights. Why 3 stars then? 3 stars isn't a bad thing! It just means that as far as flavors and overall taste goes, their froyo is cool and average to me. My little family and I just moved to Sonoma county pretty recently and just wanted to explore random areas. It was hot so my daughter and I decided to visit this froyo shop. We came in on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all. Good selection of yogurt flavors. We definitely enjoyed the tart apple flavor. I'm just a little frustrated by my last 2 visits- the same girls were there and were not friendly/inviting/helpful. They wanted nothing to do with the customers both times and I felt very judged and like I was wasting their time. One even goes to the other "why couldn't they all come in two hours ago when we were doing nothing...I want to watch Big Brother"....
