The moment the door closed behind us, the aroma of fresh donuts practically wrapped around us. That alone told us we were in the right place. We were greeted by a very friendly lady, and the donuts did not disappoint. The glazed doughnut--always the true test of a great donut shop--was excellent. I ordered got a glazed donut and it was a lot better than Teddy's. I can say this for sure coz I also bought and ate a Teddy's glazed one the same day. The Swiss donut was pillowy, fresh, and light; it was like biting into fluffy piece of yummy goodness. Now I wish I had gotten more than 1 during my visit to the valley. Price was $1 for regular glazed onso it was comparable to others. No complaints on service, the place looked clean. OMG, stopped by this place while on vacation.......best maple donuts i have ever had!!!! They were big, fluffy with crunchy edge and covered in maple glaze. They offer a version filled with custard (be still my heart). Reminded me of bakeries that used to exist when i was a kid. The apple fritter was indredible, crunchy, lots of apples and glaze. Now that i'm back on the east coast, i'm dreaming of my next trip to Palm Desert/La Quinta. The prices were a bargain, especially considering how fresh/delicioius their treats were. We stayed with the In-Laws for a little over a week and they buy donuts from this place. I normally don't eat a ton of donuts but enjoy one from time to time. Every one I tried was fantastic, maybe the best I have had in a long time. Each was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Went there on Monday. Ordered a jelly donut. I loved their donuts till my last visit. She picked up my donut and 3 baby cockroaches crawled from underneath it... there was others in sight. I will never go there again. I think if all the donuts I've eaten there and it makes me sick to think they could have been roach infested. I left the building and went to my truck I saw her go outside and follow a trail inside her store. That's just sick and nasty... The problem is is those people are so darn nice. I got there past 8am and there was no one in line...by the time I left with my box of donuts there was a line out the door!!! The coffee is why I am there each morning. Opening up a golf shop daily requires a good jolt in the morning to get you going. And Swiss Donuts provides a delicious selection of coffee to choose from. Sorry to hear you have a couple of old friends writing negative posts about you Phady. When people are jealous of others they will say things that simply are not true. Consider the sources. You and I and your true friends know the real you. These two need to look in the mirror, for they are the ones with the issues. You need to part you ways with this nuisance. You have no time for games, you are better than that Phady. Kick them both to the street and never look back!! read more
